I don't get why people are excited for musashi, he comes in an makes the established characters into fodder just because he's a real person an the writers want to respect him
Because he is a great character in and of itself, and his arc for the first time since the Yasha Ape fight actually goes somewhere new with what it means to be in a "true fight". Musashi differs from most other Baki characters in that his combat style is not based on idealism and philosophy. He does not fight for fighting's sake. He "lacks purity", as Yujiro put it.
Also, the scenes where people's imagination when seeing Musashi is visualized are honestly some of the best in the entire manga.
@@herbertunkraut I don't rate him at all, the only thing you said that I agree with is he fights more like a solider than a martial artist.
He's not just a real guy, he had like 60 undefeated duels became an insane philosopher, and his paintings are made of strokes that utilize the same conviction he used to kill people
