Hey, a Canadian here though I live in Taiwan, I just want to say I really enjoyed this video… You could also spray paint the little adapter for the charging of the light… Small issue I know come to Taiwan sometime! peace to the world!!
bro imma be honest. That was such a cool and interesting video. I feel every word you say, my girlfriend wanted a camera which takes nice filmic photos without editing. Bought her a fuji xt 30 and shes so happy.
Love the video, man! I like the logic you used to build a setup for her. I really appreciate how much attention you paid to her needs rather than your own preferences. It's hard to do that when you have your own preferences, hahaha. First time watching, and now subscribing!
I really like this video because you explained each problem, and each solution and the reasoning behind each piece without over-explaining the setup or the technicalities of each item's usage. I wanted to see you put together a rig and that's what I got. Thank you! Looks really cool and compact. How do you like the ECM G1 overall? I've seen a lot of reviews saying they don't like it due to the mic picking up mostly higher pitches and one reviewer showed how there's a hiss in the background. I wonder how you and your GF's usage compares. I am going to assume though, that portability and ease of use was the main priority. No cables. No problems?
@@antsalmon thank you and this is what I’ll say about the G1: it is totally usable for vlogging, and one should not treat it like a professional mic for commercial use.
Olympus E-PL9 with 14-42 pancake lens. You get 4K vid, lightweight, stylish and you can choose between the expert or dumpmood. Underrated in my opinion.
I've got no idea how I ended up here but I'm glad I did. While I'm not on the market for any vlogging gear (more of a hobbyist photographer than anything), you managed to keep me interested in a subject I usually don't care about at all. Great video quality man, keep up the good work and keep posting !
Thank you for the recommendation! Being a camera nerd myself, my friends have asked me for recommendations. Thanks putting this on my short-list to let them know. Btw, you two look cute together! It’s obvious to see you care for her.
Thank you very much for the great video. I really enjoyed watching it a lot. Specially the part where the two of you speak Chinese with each other. I used to travel to China a lot in the past for the company that I work at. I can’t speak Mandarin, but some words seem familiar to me when I listen to you both speaking with each other. It‘s a very nice camera that you have chosen for her.
This year, I looked at the cameras in my admittedly too big collection, and sold my Fuji XT4 and Fuji XE3, along with a lot of good Fuji glass. I kept my ZV1m1 and ZV1m2. I do a lot of staged/studio style work videoing others. Especially for situations where you can control the light, these cameras punch above their weight. They're wonderful. And I love packing a light bag with 2 cameras when I go on location. On a recent job, I chose the ZV1 over the very popular Osmo Pocket 3, because the OP3 was more fiddly to deal with settings.
What a nice video, thanks man. The built looks great and I love how playful the decals look! What my gf is desperately looking for is the possibility to shoot with a lut applied instantly. Lumix did this already and i swear if they apply this to smaller tier cameras they will dominate the amatuer photographer/filmmaker market.
@@ThaCmaro If you are talking about the S9, it’s a problematic camera that’s lacking some basic features like hot shoe and unlimited recording, which I think is absurd for the price. I think at the moment, using CapCut to quick apply luts makes the most sense
I love the energy in this video! I don’t have a S.O. to get one for me, so I may have to get this rig for myself 😂 Excited to see what else your channel will bring.
I dig the rig, the G1 + conventional ZV1 is a good combo with only those two. Fun camera to "rig" up, the number one hurdle is the battery life, it's a bit annoying.
awesome! i think my gf would be very pleased with this set up too.. i subscribed as i’m a geek living in london & i love your ideas.. i’ll stop typing now😇
Nice. My wife is similar. She wants IBIS, zoom, selfie screen, 1" compact. She had the G7XII for a while, but now it's dying. I tried her with the ZV1II but she wanted more zoom. The Canon is a 24-105. I've been looking for one everywhere this year, and there's really not many options like this. Most things are very wide with no zoom for vlogging, or very big interchangeable systems.
This is awesome, and an amazing first video, congrats! Can you make one like this except how she uses it and her settings? same with editing, seeing the whole productive workflow would be interesting to a lot of people I think, because you are getting a very high quality result that a lot of people are looking for. Once again, great video!
@@mandobaron thanks man! As I said in the video, she’s using this camera in intelligent auto mode so that’s the setting lolll. I want this camera to be a real “point and shoot” and that’s exactly how she uses it. Regarding the production workflow, I’m still figuring out a process that allows me to be more efficient. I’ll remember to talk about it when I’m happy with my workflow. Stick around.
Get us More mods, this channel is great. I do mods on all my gear, sometimes it’s just too much overkill, but I strip it down after testing the build factor. Then add it back, again.
My wife rocks a Sony nex 5n with an e mount lens kit including the kit lens, pancake lens, ultra wide adapter, and 200 mm telephoto all in silver, I even got her a leather case.
Ok man good job, maybe I also gonna build something like that for my gf, because she also becoming interested in videography, but I think I gonna use Sony a6700, just because it has 120fps which she need for sports slow motion. And also one fun fact,I just moved to Beijing, now I'm studying Chinese in college
