Did this on March 2024. Works like a charm! To everybody who's having issues, just keep restarting and restarting until you get those revival flood forms. Took me a few tries but you'll get it!
This is why i dont do glitches. They never work for me no matter how long I try. Then when I start to come close the game stops spawning reviving flood and he just dies all the time.
My top tip: kill the flood as soon as you see them. If they revive, load last checkpoint and practice. I spent so much time leading them up only for them not to fall over 😬
Loading the checkpoint seems to reset the revive chance. I got a reviver on my 2nd restart, but when I reloaded the checkpoint, my next flood didn't revive
Tried it multiple times, only succeeded once, and that it teleported me to the left and made me fall off the map to my death. Other times I did it I wasnt affected at all despite being in the exact positions on the video. With the ship mark and all.
To consistently get a reviver watch the entire cutscene at the start of the level on anniversary graphics. DO NOT press any buttons. At the end of the cutscene you need to press and hold FORWARDS and MELEE. For me that's W and Q. I start holding them down when Cortana says "Oh I see, the co-ordinate..." Continue holding the buttons down as you spawn in, and you'll melee and start running forwards. Immediately release the melee button and continue holding forwards. I don't touch the mouse either during this segment. You'll run straight forwards, bump off the door slightly, and the flood and grunt will spawn. Once they've spawned in you've finished manipulating the game and can kill the grunt or aggro the flood as normal.
That is extremely unlucky. The game's seeded randomness is based on inputs; so restarting on the same frame and pressing the exact same inputs will result in the flood either always or never being a reviver. If you hold forward (either W on PC or D-Pad Up on Xbone), restart the mission, skip the cutscene on the very first frame possible, and don't press anything else until the flood spawns, he's guaranteed to be a reviver. The grunt will always be a major if you hit the right seed, though other seeds have a major grunt with a non-reviver; so it's not a perfect indicator.
A bit of advice for all of you. Take a day off before trying to do it. The reason I say this is because I saw the speed run of Nak3d Eli his guide made me mad due to the amount of times I tried it. Coming to this video of splee 556 I was in the give up mood. I took a day off and today on my 3rd try I did it with no issues. YAY for me! 😊

You don't jump at all. Just crouch over the fleshy part of his body (sort of around the area where the infection form is buried in the chest) and when he gets back up, he should push you through the wall.
