A walk round the Four Seasons Hotel resort at Langkawi, Malaysia where accomodation starts at USD 1000 a night. The hotel gardens, beach, seaside, pool and the room.
@LeeClaxton - thank you. The hotel is nice, and the service impeccable, though agree over-priced; they gave me a free early check in at 10am and late check out at 6pm, which would suggest they run at below par for occupancy but I'm sure FS have done their sums as to the price elasticity of demand! The rooms have air-con and doors - I just didnt bother locking the doors. Incidentally the Westin have a hotel there, and the only one I saw with a lounge at airport which is always nice

Four Seasons and The Datai are the best there. Four Seasons is all flat land so walking around easy. Make sure you do the cable car ride there as a first time visitor

Hi all! Why do they do 'arabian style architecture' at a Four Seasons in Langkawi? Overly weird. I'd expect them to do that in the Middle East, but not in Asia. Especially weird since the FS Doha has little arabic architecture (is one of the finest hotels I've stayed in) or Cairo (don't go there!). I'd expect a quality hotel to adhere to local culture. MrK. Keep on making these jubilant videos. I really enjoy them.

I think the Arabian design is due to the fact that Malaysia is multi-cultural.
