    Are DLA benefits and Child Benefit need to be declared as part of the rent a room scheme?

    Great video. Thanks for uploading. Is their a lot of help with the fields? There were several fields you showed I'd need to know some more information.
    Can you actually talk to the accountant? Particularly around pension contributions etc.? Without this I'd be concerned the accountant doesn't have all the information.
    Also, do they want to know interest and gains gross, without you having to know which tax bracket you are in?

      You can message the accountant, however if you want to talk to them, there's a fee per 30 mins session and it's not cheap. They want to know everything gross basically, and they will work out your tax bracket.

      @@Dr.JubairsFinance That's great to know, thank you. So emailing/messaging is the best option. Being as clear and concise as possible with your questions.
      Thanks too for confirming they want to know gross numbers.

      They need to start a self assessment tax return if they make more than £1000 in revenue on eBay sales.

      Can the summary be as simple as you showed on a spreadsheet? They don't wish to see letter headed paper from the banks/apps?

      @Dr.JubairsFinance  Месяц назад +1

      @@SootheSound Yes I just used the spreadsheets and it was fine for me. If it's eBay, you can surely find a document that summarises the year's earnings? And then maybe you can calculate your expenses.

      @@Dr.JubairsFinance I've not sold anything so one less thing to worry about.
      Looking at the tax return itself makes it look as though a first time user could either land themselves with extra costs, or fail to report something due to the complicated nature if it. Even with the notes. I like your idea of having a professional do it, particularly with a flat fee and access to asking them questions.
