Would it take an insanely strong rotisserie to be able to leave an engine in a vehicle? (I realize you wouldn't want to turn it upside down (oil and trans fluids, even if they were drained) but for tipping it 45 degrees for a repeat installation of some complicated metalwork, is there a Rotisserie capable of this, or would one have to build their own...?

I don't think you would want to do that. It would be nearly impossible to get the centerline weight distribution correct. You do not want one of these out of balance. They do make heavier duty rotisseries though. I think Titan makes a 4500# one. 3000# isn't bad though. By the time you get the body stripped down to the point where you could work on things that you would buy a rotisserie for, it would be enough in most cases. I bet that Camaro tub in the video weighs 1000# or less.

I have a 1966 International Travelall I am working on. What is the longest body you can work with? Also, what is the tallest body you can completely roll?

My rotisserie is coming tomorrow. Where is the video to get the body onto the rotisserie? Do yo start with the body on the floor? Do you put the body on jack stands and then slide the rotisserie under the body? Thanks!

How is it you put the body on yet

@@juny_adame3153 I ended up getting the thing on. I welded some jack stands to some rolling dollies. I used my engine hoist to bring up the front, bring up the back. Occasionally I might need to use a floor jack to help out in a corner. You have to have a rolling dolly or the jack stands will knock over. Trust me on this. ;) Once I got the body high enough to get the rotisserie under the body, I started assembling the rotisserie. I ended up welding p my own mounts, using the stubs that came with the kit. While this process was slow, it took me all day. ) I got the thing mounted up. I have rotated the body, moved it around the shop! I'm as happy as a clam in mud! ~P.
