One of the greatest interviewers of all time has left the building...this is sad but bittersweet. I will miss those epic interviews she's done over the past 21 years of my life. She's a force to be reckoned with. But overall she's a lady of class and great knowledge. We love you Barbara and we will miss you.

Thank you for producing this interview. I was her fan since the early time of her career knowing little English and understood American Culture. When the View started, it was fun and see how American women were frustrated with rules placed over them and impacted on family life. Thank you Barbara to lead the way for women to earn equal rights and acceptance as equals partners to men.

Excellent excellent special. Really serves her legacy well to have such an extremely well crafted 2 hour retrospective that you could tell a lot of care was put into. Garnered all the best stuff from Barbara, her kindness, her intelligence, her humor, her seriousness, her shocking moments. Some of that stuff is still unbelievable when you see it today. As a male student of television, there is no doubting that she is an icon and will forever be missed. She broke down so many barriers and everyone should watch this to get just a taste of her impact. A wonderful woman and truly not many that will be like her.

The fact she didn't think she was or is beautiful is crazy...she is a gorgeous woman...her younger pictures she reminds me of a young Sally Fields when she played Gidget...oh I hope Barbara Walters is not suffering as some say. She is an icon. How weird and fitting would it be if she passed away this year...I mean, of course, if she is suffering as I've heard with Alzheimer's or late stage Dementia...

Some of these men are very shallow but Hugh Downs truly was one of the few men who respected Barbabra. They worked side by side for over 25 years,! I think Barbara brought a lot to the table She wasn't a beauty queen or a knock out but in my opinion having a brain is much more important than having some were very tough al m Barbara was a very intelligent woman and struggled her entire life with the comments that men would say to her thinking she didn't belong in a mans world. She was smart enough but she was a woman. I think she had to prove herself many times over..people, mainly men started showing her the respect she deservedshe certainly did!! One of my favorite interviews of all time is with Kathern Hepburn. Such a beautiful actress and so extremely smart. I loved Ms Hepern. The one that appalled me the most is when Sean Connery spoke about hitting woman believing its ok to do. All I can say is i takes all kinds,

The general said any man that doesn't cry scares him, I dated Pete for several years and I never saw him cry, but his eyes did tear up one time. But it's nice to know celebrities have feelings like the rest of us. Joan had Jonny tell her she was funny and would be a star but then he hated her when she had her own talk show.

Interview with the leader of Iran rather telling. 23:14 he had the nerve to say women were not intelligent, yet the country has struggled for years. Are you kidding me? Things haven’t exactly improved much in that region. Surprise surprise. (He knew women are intelligent. He also knows it’s about power.) That region is full of mindnumblingly stubborn leaders who are cowards. The teenagers girls protesting in the streets over the past few weeks risking their lives have more courage than this man. I’m glad Barbara asked him the questions she did. One of the greats.
