    You, budget warriors and food enthusiasts! Buckle up because we're about to dive into a juicy secret that'll change your EBT game forever: hot meals with your food stamps card at places like McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Subway, and even Denny's!
    That's right, over 500 restaurants across the US are now accepting EBT, making those cravings for a crispy McChicken or a classic Grand Slam breakfast a little more attainable. But before you rush out with your card held high, let's break down the deets and explore the EBT fast food frontier!
    EBT Hot Meals: The Lowdown
    First things first: not all EBT programs allow hot food purchases. It depends on your state and the specific program you're enrolled in. Some states offer "Restaurant Meals Programs" within EBT, while others may only allow food stamps for groceries at authorized stores.
    So, step one is to check your state's EBT guidelines. You can usually find this info on your state's Department of Human Services website. Don't worry, I'll link some helpful resources in the video description!
    Finding EBT-Friendly Fast Food:
    Assuming your state allows hot meals, the next adventure is finding participating restaurants. No need to wander aimlessly, though! There are handy tools like the USDA's "Snap Restaurant Locator" and apps like "Fresh EBT" that show you EBT-accepting restaurants near you.
    Hot Meal Hacks:
    Now, for some pro tips to navigate the EBT fast food landscape:
    Check the menu: Not everything on the menu might be eligible with EBT. Look for items specifically marked as "Restaurant Meals" or "EBT-eligible."
    Mind the limitations: Some programs might restrict the number or type of hot meals you can purchase per month.
    Don't forget the sides: While your main course might be covered, drinks, fries, and desserts might not be. So, budget accordingly!
    Use those benefits wisely: Hot meals are a nice treat but don't forget the importance of stocking up on healthy staples and groceries for balanced meals at home.
    So there you have it, folks! EBT and fast food: a match made in budget-friendly heaven. Research your state's program, utilize those locator tools, and be a smart EBT user. And for more money-saving tips and tricks, don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell! Let's conquer the world of food, one EBT swipe at a time!
    Share your favorite EBT-friendly fast food finds in the comments!

      Thanks for bringing this up. It's important to be aware of the limitations of EBT in different states. Kentucky is currently focusing on grocery access for SNAP benefits. You can find more information about accepted retailers on the Kentucky Family and Children's Cabinet website. You can check -www.fns.usda.gov/snap-directory-entry/kentucky

      Hey Lisa Lutz, you're right to be cautious! It's true that not all restaurants accept EBT, but the number is definitely growing. McDonald's is actually one of the biggest chains that recently started accepting EBT in some locations. You can check if your local McDonald's participates by using the USDA's SNAP Retailer Locator (www.fns.usda.gov/snap/online-purchasing-pilot). I hope this helps! If you have any other questions about EBT, feel free to ask.

    Is this true Or a lie there is know McDonald's in my area that takes food stamps

    • @freeforlowincome
      @freeforlowincome  5 месяцев назад

      I can't definitively tell you whether there's a McDonald's in your area that takes food stamps without more information. However, I can help you find out:
      Call McDonald's directly: The most accurate way to know if a specific McDonald's accepts food stamps is to call them directly. You can find the phone number of the McDonald's closest to you on their website or by searching online.
      Use the USDA SNAP Retailer Locator: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a SNAP Retailer Locator tool that allows you to search for stores that accept food stamps (SNAP) by zip code or address. This tool may not be available in Bangladesh, but you could try searching for McDonald's in your area and see if any results mention accepting food stamps.
      Ask your local food bank or social services agency: These organizations may have information about which stores in your area accept food stamps.
      It's important to note that even if McDonald's accepts food stamps in general, not all individual locations may participate in the program. It's always best to check with the specific McDonald's you want to visit before you go.

    This is nothing new they've been doing this for years in California. Not all fast food places except them. Only certain ones take them. Like not every McDonald's in a said city will except them. It might just be one or two.

    Yeah, because most folks with cash can’t afford to eat in these restaurants. Besides, folks need to treat EBT as cash and budget cash for restaurants.

      You're right, many people on EBT budgets need to carefully plan their restaurant spending. This video is meant to show some options available, but of course, responsible budgeting is key!

    I'm sorry
    But if you're receiving food stamps to provide food for you and your family
    You should NOT be using them for over priced unhealthy fast food
    And you should not be eating out at restaurants with your free benefits
    You will get more out of your benefits by buying groceries at the store and cooking your food.
    This is crazy

    • @freeforlowincome
      @freeforlowincome  4 месяца назад +1

      Being in a homeless program makes you more likely to qualify for an EBT card, but it doesn't automatically guarantee it. Individuals in homeless programs should still apply for EBT benefits if they believe they might qualify. Many programs can assist with the application process. If you need any assistance feel free to knock...
