I know the game gets some hate but i enjoyed it. it had its problems but im sad to see it go. hope you guys guy learn to properly work with the luminus engine because the game looks beautiful.
For those who haven't seen it yet, the JP FFXV twitter just announced that the canceled DLC's (Lunafreya, Aranea & Noctis) are going to be released as a novel.
If this proves to be true, I won't be so disappointed. I mean, to be able to play and learn of their stories would've been amazing but at this point, with the dlcs canceled, all I was hoping for was this. Can't wait.
@@NotAverageAfro If compare both of them when launched.KH3 is better in term of gameplay but both have some issues in term of story.FFXV has interesting story but they just spread them on each media to the point a game itself has almost nothing to tell.KH3 has average story but they make it epic enough in certain scene.still can't deny there are a flaw and feel like some element in previous game isn't need to be there. so....FFXV wasn't that much better compare to KH3 especially gameplay combat system.

Before I comment, I just want to say that to everyone especially Tabata, who helped make this game: Thankyou for working so damn hard. However it turned out, whatever people think, it was extremely hard work for many involved and I want to at least write *somewhere* that such efforts are respected and appreciated. Anyway, I'm replaying FFXV to prep for the final DLC and while I have seen the finale, and tried the character DLCs like 2 years ago and didn't like them that much, as a package FFXV isn't THAT bad. It broke my heart to wait 10 years and it be so obviously unfinished and was super disapointing but in the end, with all said and done after what now,13 years, I'd say its a solid experience. A perfectly acceptable 7/10. Eventhough I'm a Final Fantasy fanboy, I can admit that FFXV is a little bloated, empty, clunky, rushed and leaves you feeling less than satisfied, but I'd still defend it as at least being worth playing and experiencing. I can only hope that many lessons were learned which get taken into FFXVI... if there will ever be one. I really hope they can go for quality and not quantity next time; substance, not scale and completness not a compilation.
Guys, the stories for Episode Luna, Aranea, and Noctis will be put into a novel called “Final Fantasy XV: Dawn of the Future.” The book will release in Japan on April 26th and will be getting an English translation with no release date yet.

this was very nice to have. Beyond many dissatisfactions I had and still have with the game, I can't wait to play the dlc. At it's core the story was an intruging and touching one, so we'll always have that.
Call me crazy but I think they might be waiting to see how Episode Ardyn does before they invest more into the following episodes. Why else would they still be beating around the bush about how they wanna deliver those extra stories? My guess is that we're gonna get actual game content if the sale are good and if they aren't then we're only getting external media like an anime or something.
@@anonnona5270 Yeah judging by the snippet of Episode Ardyn at the end of this anime and how crazy it looks it's definitely not some cheaply slapped together cash grab. They legit built a new combat system for Ardyn while making Ifrit a party member and they also have more than one environment. The cutscenes also look great. This stuff had some legit money pumped into it. Now I'm even more saddened by what we potentially lost out on with all the other bits of DLC.
Episode Ardyn can sell 5 million copies but XV as of now is completely done. Their development team have completely dispersed. They announced rest of the dlc episodes to be released as a novel.
It's still my No.1 PS4 game and I enjoyed every release of it. Really looking forward of the new DLC! I have to be honest Ardyn was not a very impactful character to me in the main game, other than he's the final boss, I didn't remember his apperances too much. His presence got stronger at Episode Ignis but it still didn't explain enough so I am hoping this DLC will provide more info even for the main game as well. While I appreciated all the additional information, I really hope SE can make a game that explains itself for the users when they play... not having to dig and ask around afterward for all the "what and why".
That's Cool but The Rest of The Dawn of the Future becoming a Book is pretty insulting to your fans, just saying. It's better than nothing, but you should've delivered a finished product, which would be the DLC's you've promised.
Not really. Luna isn't a good character no one cares, Aranea is just a FF4 Reference and Episode Noctis is literally ffxv. You bitch and moan about these DLCs... that aren't even canon in the first place to begin with! I'm sorry but i think the game was meant to be to be told by the 4 bros and no one else..
They also said that Ignis was the last of the planned DLC's, the next four were only thought about post launch and their only mistake was announcing all 4 rather than one at a time.

Yikes to some of these comments. Like, big yikes. I totally agree with you about everything and I'm extremely angry and disappointed by cancellation of the DLCs. Like really Square, wtf. That said, I don't think these guys are at fault, but really square's CEOs and executives. I'm sure these guys would have loved to finish the XV DLCs as asked, but they don't decide if they have funding for the projects. Square Execs and shareholders do. And if they don't think it will be profitable, they pull the funding. That said, I don't think they should have been announced in the first place. Not until they were at least midway finished and we had more to go off of than an art piece. That way if things went south none of us would be disappointed in the first place and they would have only promoted episode ardyn.
I may have hated FFXV and preferred Versus XIII, but I feel sorry for everyone involved with developing both games. Square-Enix's higher-ups ruined both Versus XIII AND XV. I think we can all agree on that.

SE's management ruined what could been an amazing game. Thanks to developers of BD2 for still working on the game after two years of release by giving us free updates and paid DLCs. Hopefully now you guys know how the luminous engine works, the next game can be even better

Kingdom Hearts 3 makes this game look like the greatest game of the century. I can't wait to see how they continue on to tell the other stories they planned.

Well, I thought the points in the anime were great, appreciate the effort with what you can do. I wish I could see more of an anime with FFXV, as I feel it would be a good anime. I'm looking forward to Ep. Ardyn, especially seeing more of the Empire people as younger, it looked like you included a lot about other characters and Ifrit /Ardyn's collaboration which wasn't included originally. I read somewhere that the name “Izunia” was actually the name of the Lucis Caelum family before they became the Lucis Caelums. That’s just what I read though.

I'm a bit nervous of watching Square Enix press releases now. I was worried that, by watching it, I would jinx it and they would cancel the prologue and DLC, but make up for it by making a poster.

@@IzzleWhizzle I will agree that SE has an issue of announcing things too early. They are a bit out of touch of how games should be announced. However, they announced future DLC and probably (based off my opinion/speculation) saw on the back end that not enough people were playing/buying the episodes. So they as a business they scrapped them. The Ardynn one was probably far enough along they could release it. I just think the sentiment of "I'll never forgive you square" is it a bit of hyperbole. To hold a grudge because they cancelled upcoming dlc seems extreme to me. Of course, you are allowed to feel how you feel.. but it isn't like they cancelled 15 altogether. They released the game, a full year of DLC, and just weren't able to finish the second year (probably because of higher ups not seeing the worth to release it).
Hey square enix. I'm a big fan of final fantasy series and kingdom heart series. We need a new final fantasy game. Stop making a new dlc. Final fantasy 15 already broken and have many plot hole. And to fill that hole the player have to pay more? Just for 15 minute gameplay per dlc. Really?. Why should we pay more money when it was all you're fault to begin with. I'm very disappointed
Hind sight. Though at the time it may have actually cost more than the current full black ops. Though If the story is this rich, massive and in detail with all DLCs, anime, and stories well Final Fantasy Fudge, it would've been an amazing $150.00+ game. It would have been costly but actually dizzily fulfilling. Side note; (if I ever go to a high dollar restaurant and the only give me the size of my thumb as the main meal.... I don't care how rich it is the meal didn't get the basic job done. Sated satisfaction. ) i can say the Final Fantasy XXV gave me anyway two thirds a plate and quite a bit or richness. Compared to some of its other Final Fantasies I as many other were left with the extravagant taste and textures but also with ??? fulfilling symbol above my head. 2016 the main entree came out. with a third of the plate left bare. 2019 the sides were tossed and a small deluxe candied mint was currently given. Final Fantasy still has its richness but like the food industry they are downsizing their meals at least hopefully for only FFXV.
Good luck Square Enix for all ☆ FF XV is my favourite Part of the FF Series :D [ and >I< like FF 8 a little bit more as the FF 7 Part, how ever cool "Cloud" is ]. The Chocobo Game in Part 8 was a good accessory. But i understand the Fans, who like all the FF7 stuff. Somnia there is a gameplay scans in 2010 also 2 gameplay trailers (tgs2010/jan2011) and there was a trailer we nevet saw for E3 2012 .. plus E3 2013 after the game become XV it still Versus all of this change when tabata take control on dec 2013 .. he saw Versus as a fail project and don't give a shit about nomura vision thats why he tell the team if you don't like my vision leave my team i'm gonna make something new wake up Versus is not Epic !! .. he said it himeself later maybe on 2015 he felt that fans care about Versus thats why he make Omen trailer a lie trailer like him

I’m torn. I appreciate deeply your efforts, but this game has been so fragmented and was honestly the biggest gaming disappointment for me over the last 10 years; coming from a lifelong fan of your franchise. I know some choose to attack people who say this, but the feeling is real. I really don’t have hope for future games in the series based on the past few years, and that’s tough to say.
@@jgrigg1720 Yeah of people who only played the story and not side content. I put 400 hrs into XV and i couldn't even get into KH3 it's like a huge downgrade even compared to 2FM. XV had more content on day one!

I agree 10 was a good game, but I found it cringy a bit too often. Gameplay wise it felt more complete, but more easily exploited.
FFXV is about a story where three DLCs died.

These DLCs cost a lot to make apparently which is why the other 3 DLCs were cancelled

SE's management ruined what could been an amazing game. Thanks to developers of BD2 for still working on the game after two years of release by giving us free updates and paid DLCs. Hopefully now you guys know how the luminous engine works, the next game can be even better

Well, I thought the points in the anime were great, appreciate the effort with what you can do. I wish I could see more of an anime with FFXV, as I feel it would be a good anime. @@IzzleWhizzle I will agree that SE has an issue of announcing things too early. They are a bit out of touch of how games should be announced. However, they announced future DLC and probably (based off my opinion/speculation) saw on the back end that not enough people were playing/buying the episodes. So they as a business they scrapped them. The Ardynn one was probably far enough along they could release it. I just think the sentiment of "I'll never forgive you square" is it a bit of hyperbole. To hold a grudge because they cancelled upcoming dlc seems extreme to me. Of course, you are allowed to feel how you feel.. but it isn't like they cancelled 15 altogether. They released the game, a full year of DLC, and just weren't able to finish the second year (probably because of higher ups not seeing the worth to release it).

Hey square enix. I'm a big fan of final fantasy series and kingdom heart series. We need a new final fantasy game. Stop making a new dlc. Final fantasy 15 already broken and have many plot hole. And to fill that hole the player have to pay more? Just for 15 minute gameplay per dlc. Really?. Why should we pay more money when it was all you're fault to begin with. I'm very disappointed

Hind sight. Though at the time it may have actually cost more than the current full black ops. Though If the story is this rich, massive and in detail with all DLCs, anime, and stories well Final Fantasy Fudge, it would've been an amazing $150.00+ game. It would have been costly but actually dizzily fulfilling.

i can say the Final Fantasy XXV gave me anyway two thirds a plate and quite a bit or richness. Compared to some of its other Final Fantasies I as many other were left with the extravagant taste and textures but also with
??? fulfilling symbol above my head.
2016 the main entree came out. with a third of the plate left bare.
2019 the sides were tossed and a small deluxe candied mint was currently given.
Final Fantasy still has its richness but like the food industry they are downsizing their meals at least hopefully for only FFXV.

1- Team Versus helped team XIII for a year and helf and before that they were so busy with KH II Final Mix
2- Nomura was busy with a lot of project KH games, FFVIIACC movie, PSP games, DS games etc
3- Square Enix/Wada at that time was only care for Edios
4- Versus team was less than 200 ppl .. a project like this need at least 400
5- CT engine was a bad engine also the PS3 system even kojima himself was so angry about PS3 in 2007 that make him say i want to make a wii game!
6- Cory barlog said when he was in SE he told them i want make game one shot camera and they refuse unlike Sony they suport him !
7- PS360 gen was so terrible with all jp games .. Versus ideas fit PS4 gen better
8- Nomura want Versus to be PS3/PS4 game but wada told him make it a new game for PS4 better and you can make it 3 games like XIII
9- wada is no longer CEO matsuda become a new CEO. matsuda hate Lightning Returns sells thats way in late 2013 told nomura make XV a one game and you know the rest
