A lot of us have seen it many times before. It was a State Dinner (ball gowns and jewels and tiaras, oh my!) and at the time Megs was only the girlfriend and couldn’t attend the ball. Happenstance protocols placed Rose with Harry and Megs let chips fall as they may.

I saw the interview with Peter. He was very impressive. When he talked about how important family gatherings were for QEII & PP to spend time with not only the grandchildren but the great-grandchildren and vice-versa, I couldn't help but wonder if he was throwing a little subtle shade at H. Catherine POW is definitely on a par with Diana. I completely agree with you Fiona. And ultimately I think she will surpass Diana because I think Catherine is superior to Diana. But Catherine is a healthier person, emotionally, than Diana was and she is humble and selfless in a way that I don't think Diana was. Catherine isn't vindictive. Diana was; to wit: the Martin Bashir interview. She presented herself as the victim when she absolutely contributed to the breakdown of her marriage. She also trashed Charles, saying that he wasn't fit to be king. So Catherine is superior in character (and looks) to Diana.

I saw the interview with Peter. He was very impressive. When he talked about how important family gatherings were for QEII & PP to spend time with not only the grandchildren but the great-grandchildren and vice-versa, I couldn't help but wonder if he was throwing a little subtle shade at H. He repeated the sentiment with an expression on his face and a look in his eyes that made me wonder.

But Catherine is a healthier person, emotionally, than Diana was and she is humble and selfless in a way that I don't think Diana was. Catherine isn't vindictive. Diana was; to wit: the Martin Bashir interview. She presented herself as the victim when she absolutely contributed to the breakdown of her marriage. She also trashed Charles, saying that he wasn't fit to be king. So Catherine is superior in character (and looks) to Diana.
