The few polo clubs we have here in the USA are hanging on by a thread. Yes, polo or any equestrian sport is expensive. The cheapest way is having a farm with your own stable but between veterinary bills and farrier bills, it's still expensive. Not to mention feeding them and it's a every day job. Plus some polo players have been accused of abuse. Real horse lovers who ride for pleasure would never abuse the horse, well there are some people who will abuse anything. Maybe polo is a European thing. I loved riding and did the smart thing. I took care of other rich people's horses who traveled so much that I probably rode their horses more than them. They of course knew I was riding them as if you don't ride them it's worse. I miss those days.

I've seen a few short clips of polo. Probably from times when the then Prince Charles, and maybe even his father were playing it. The thing I most recall was that it looked very hard on those fabulous horses.
When I saw that outfit it made me think of what Caitlyn Jenner had on the other day.
Never been to polo. The closest I got to watching Polo was when I watched Pretty Woman?
Let’s face it, the only thing that the sock puppet has the vaguest understanding of is Polo. He’s not the sharpest tool in the box to put it mildly. I have watched it in the past when I was an army wife and found the treading in of the divots more satisfying. I imagine those who play it get more from it than those watching it.
We do have one of the best Polo Clubs in South Florida (Wellington Polo Club), we have people in that Club that are more "famous and with more money" than Pr. Harry. I'm sure Heghan wouldn't be welcome there. LOL

I hate to disagree with you but I did not like the top of the dress. I felt it strangled her and accentuated her wide shoulders but the bottom wasn’t bad. Many are complaining about her stiletto heels - I agree it would have looked just weird to wear that with flats.
Someone like Jeremy Clarkson would make a brilliant series on polo and make it relatable....such a shame he's been Markled.

The few polo clubs we have here in the USA are hanging on by a thread. Yes, polo or any equestrian sport is expensive. The cheapest way is having a farm with your own stable but between veterinary bills and farrier bills, it's still expensive. Not to mention feeding them and it's a every day job.
Plus some polo players have been accused of abuse. Real horse lovers who ride for pleasure would never abuse the horse, well there are some people who will abuse anything.
Maybe polo is a European thing. I loved riding and did the smart thing. I took care of other rich people's horses who traveled so much that I probably rode their horses more than them. They of course knew I was riding them as if you don't ride them it's worse. I miss those days.

I've seen some really good programmes on polo. Presenting the trophy was another fake royal engagement to Megan. You don't wear stilettos at polo. She was lucky to not get stuck in the grass.

Fiona, I live in America, and we have polo, but it is for the wealthy here, as well! Also, I can’t stand the abuse of the horses! Those poor horses have no choice in the beatings their bodies take, the many injuries they endure! Then the “coup da grace”, (sorry for the missing circumflex), but when I saw the way Prince Harry made his horse bleed and hearing he played a pregnant horse until it died, nope, I am an animal lover and that is ABUSE! I have a cousin who trains polo horses. He has supplied mounts to the then Prince of Wales Charles when he is Australia. Any sport associated with horses is very expensive and one that involves specialty horses is even more pricey. Fact

Hi Fiona, I don't want to attack M every time she steps out at an event w/what she wears. Her latest cream/beige outfit looked lovely from a side view but from the front it was ghastly. See through clothes don't improve a look it cheapens the look. She has no figure to wear the cut of the top of the outfit she wore. Finally, as an American I can say that polo is not a sport that has a large following here in America. H and Netflix's apparently think they can change that, they are wrong, it will not happen.
