    Thank you for the cool tour, very interesting set up. It seems you may need a helper. I understand is almost impossible to get help from someone that already knows the trade. Also just to get help in general as an apprentice is also difficult since many are not interested on this trade. I also do upholstery work in California and many upholstery shops here can't find the extra labor help.

    Thanks for the tour for a day in the life of Old School Upholstery in East Texas. Having the work area right there, well, to me, that is old school for sure. Was that a B-25 plane in the shop ? When I went sky diving, about 30 years ago, there was a much older guy at the airport, who had a B-25 belt buckle on, so I had time and asked him, what is the story ? He told me, he was in WW2 toward the end and his missions were flown in a B-25. - Maybe we get to Oshkosh one year ??

    Stumbled across your channel looking for tips on redoing seats that have tears in the fabric and foam. Definitely provided some excellent tips regarding marking centers. What type of foam do you use or recommend using if replacing the entire foam on a bench seat style seating configuration? Any recommendations on places to find new springs would also be helpful. Thanks in advance

    Cool projects you got going on! The bike looks interesting. Looks like you have enough to keep yourself busy for sure. Would you rather have the customer drop off the whole vehicle or remove the seats themselves and drop them off to you? I appreciate you thank you for the video!

    • @oldschoolautoupholstery
      @oldschoolautoupholstery  Год назад +6

      Hello my friend! Thanks for checking this video out! I always prefer that the customer drops the items off to me. It also speeds things up if the customer removes the seats for me. Most of the time I don't nee the car or boat, or especially the aircraft. Just the seats. Thank you so much for watching!

    I have a '79 Triumph TR7 that has a huge sunroof like your custom creation. Nobody makes a replacement soft sunroof that I know of. Would it be hard to redo? I just found your channel and I'm trying to do my research to learn to sew and what machine to buy. Any recommendations for a decent machine that'll have the capabilities to do regular sewing and upholstery without breaking the bank? Thanks for everything!
