    Bro your a genius. I've wanted to make a knife like this for a while but never could figure out how to screw it together. You riveting some all-thread onto the tang is a stroke of genius. Can't wait to give it a shot...thank you thank you for that idea, I'm so excited now to try.

Finaly our vote is for your knive, not because it's the most beautifull, not because it has a special look, not because it is the one I want to have but because it's the one I want to use ( my husband says ). San mai forging was an interesting challenge and must provide the blade good cutting ability, resistance and flexibility, the material choice for the handle is in perfect adequation with the " Bowie " spirit : good job and thumbs up ( sorry for bad english, loves from Belgium )

    • @Mysticmountainforge
      @Mysticmountainforge  2 года назад

      Yep, I bought it from the Home Depot in Kenai, and wanted to keep it to where I could convert it back to a log splitter. My brother and I cut the rr track into short pieces using cut off wheels for my angle grinder, I brought them with me from my other forge in Oklahoma. I am actually back in OK due to my Dads health declining, I use a log splitter press here as well with those same pieces on it.
