I love this Bowie! You have my vote bro! Seriously well done, classic, sleek, and perfectly flowy
Thanks man, I greatly appreciate it! I had an awesome time doing this challenge!
Make a offer ??!
Awesome! Great way of connecting tang and threads! Lovely build. And Also great choice of thumbnail! Really pops to my eyes! Huge like!
Thanks man! I greatly appreciate you watching and your feedback! Love your channel and loved your Bowie!
I absolutely love the profile! The band on the blade is so pronounced, great job!!
Thanks man!
There are many forms a Bowie knife can take but this is what the definition of one should look like. Classic and Beautiful.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Very nice job. Turned out very well there keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge on. God bless.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Very nice blade..love it..handle is great much respect for that...great video...respect from Croatia...
BEAUTIFUL!! Exactly the kind of Bowie I want!!
Amazing knife and much truer to the form than many in the competition. Looks like a knife built to work, not just grace a display case. Well done.
Oooo that's purdy. Beautiful job!!
Out of the ones I've watched so far, have to say its a really impressive piece of work
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
You have my Vote Mystic Mountain Forge! GREAT JOB!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Great looking knife man! I like how you got the threads on the tang there.
Me too, quite inventive!
Thanks man! That's a little technique I learned from J. Neilson and Harvey Dean, it makes it where everything will almost auto align itself when tightening it up, once you put the epoxy in the handle it's rock solid. I appreciate you watching!
loved how you ingeniously build that through tang construction. I now have a new project in mind!! loved this!!
Thank you for watching,I greatly appreciate it!
This knife comes together so nice. The handle and blade are a perfect match. Great job Matt!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Who doesn't appreciate antler handles on their Bowie! Yes, please! I really like the overall shape and size of the knife, and the color of the guard and cap. This one gets my vote!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Love this the whole thing is well crafted and beautiful.Great job Matt
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Right on man!! That’s a beautiful blade! Love the pattern and stag handle! I can tell that was made in Alaska!!!!🔥⚒💪🏻
Thanks man! The local antler store came through in the clutch for me, the antler was the third option, I'm glad I went with it!
i love the bold Damascus pattern, the blued hardware, and the bone handle. Stunning work. Kudos!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
A lovely piece terrific work.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Beautiful work!

Hot damn man!! Not done watching all the other Bowie's yet but so far you're in the lead!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
A thumbs up and a new subscriber. The more traditional Bowie knife was what I was looking for and you built it. I’m a big fan of antler scales. That blade is so sexy. Great build brother. You got my vote !
Thanks man! Welcome aboard! I am a huge fan of traditional Bowie's as well, I'm hoping to do more Bowie builds in the future, a D guard is calling my name, I'm looking for that perfect piece of antler to make it happen. I appreciate you watching!
@@Mysticmountainforge I can’t wait. The first knife I ever made had antler scales. Stay bladed brother.
I really loved it when it was all done ... Kudos !!!
I appreciate you watching!
Yay knives!
Seriously though that thing looks amazing
Amazing!!! My favorite bowie knife
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Really great job ! A fantastic hunting bowie 🤩
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
After watching all 18 videos and agonizing over my top three choices, yours is the top bowie in my opinion! You got my vote for this beautifully crafted classic bowie. There are so many amazing knives in this challenge. It made it hard to pick just one.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Man you are a genius 👍 I'm in the middle of making my first through Tang and I would have never thought to do that pivot. thanks a lot
That's a trick I learned from ABS master Smith J.Neilson, it works great to help everything align well. I appreciate you watching!
Beautiful piece of work!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
Awesome! I do love this bowie knife 👍👍👍
You go my vote, I really like the profile and build of this bowie!
That's great!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
That is a very creative solution to attaching the butt-cap.
Thanks! It's a little trick I picked up from ABS mastersmith J. Neilson. I appreciate you watching!
New to your channel and new to bladesmithing. Looking forward to watching your videos and seeing how well I can do in my forge.
Nice one man. Low layer is very cool. My preference.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching! Low layer is one of my favorites as well.
This is a dope Bowie knife. Badass!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Another contender for my vote. 3 way tie right now. Beautiful work!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
So far this is the best knife I've seen. There was Damascus that went overboard on the pattern. But, the beauty with yours is its simplicity. Good Lord it is gorgeous. 👍🏻
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
@@Mysticmountainforge Wished I had kept better track of time and could have voted for you. Not to knock the others, but there were so many that went over and above with "glitter." You truly did create an heirloom blade. Appreciate your time and video. New subscriber. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful knife and great craftsmanship!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
I just voted for you! Fantastic work man!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Very cool design. Thanks
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!

Thanks, I appreciate you watching!

Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
The build was awesome subbed and shared and you got my vote. Damascus wasn't over done for shock and awe all.in all a solid build in my humble opinion. Going to check out the rest of your stuff hope you keep making great knives.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Nicely built, well done…😊😊😊
Thanks! I appreciate you watching.
So , practical mystic !
That’s a beauty 👍👍
You know, Black Beard Projects is my boy. That's how I found out about this competition. But my friend, you nailed this. NO ONE else used a bone handle that I saw. You have my vote and you've got a new subscriber.
Thanks man! Black Beard Projects is one of my favorite channels as well! I appreciate you watching!
Sorry, but that's not bone, it is antler. However, it is still superbly done IMO.
Brackin Blades Forge used a real cow bone.

Nice work man!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
I have no idea what a Go Mai recurve knife is all I know I really like your entry in the competition. Nice shape, handle and blade. Well done sir.
❤ so nice!
Riveting that all-thread to the tang is genius! Takes out the guess work for the angle through the elk horn!
Thanks for watching! It's a trick I learned from ABS mastersmith J. Neilson, once you put the epoxy in it makes for a rock solid setup.
To my mind this is the perfect Bowie knife. Beautiful
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
@@Mysticmountainforge hi. Just saying it how it is. Have watched most of the other makers but your knife is how I would want mine to look . Beautiful work
Bro your a genius. I've wanted to make a knife like this for a while but never could figure out how to screw it together. You riveting some all-thread onto the tang is a stroke of genius. Can't wait to give it a shot...thank you thank you for that idea, I'm so excited now to try.
Thanks, I appreciate you watching, I got the idea from ABS Master Smith J. Neilson, he demonstrated how to do it on his tips and tricks video, it makes working with through tangs so much easier.
I did and for you. I would call that the Red River Bowie. The rivier pattern is beautiful.
Beautiful and good luck in the comp!!!!!!
Enjoyed the video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
@@Mysticmountainforge you're welcome!
Beautiful
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Great knife. I like the nomenclature you used in the handle construction. Good luck in the voting.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
Very cool my man!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
That’s a beautiful build. I’m impressed, I was wondering how is he going to affix the screw to the half tang? Ingenious! That way of doing it would have Never crossed my mind wow it’s a very simple and easy way to fit the handle to the tang while over coming the problem of fitting a curved half tang to a curved Antler handle. Sir you are a Gentleman and a Scholar. Thanks for the upload🔥
Thanks for watching, I greatly appreciate it!

@@Mysticmountainforge your welcome
Recently came across you channel. New sub.
I'm sure you answered this previously but what is it your using to etch those line in your work.
It looks like something kind of caliper tool.
Great work and thank you
Dude is that a rigged up log splitter? Lol that’s amazing. Great work
Yes it is! I had to find a way to keep it as a functioning log splitter to use on wood for the winter. I appreciate you watching!
Watchind all these vidéos was a nice experience and has allowed us to discover new knives makers. Finaly our vote is for your knive, not because it's the most beautifull, not because it has a special look, not because it is the one I want to have but because it's the one I want to use ( my husband says ). San mai forging was an interesting challenge and must provide the blade good cutting ability, resistance and flexibility, the material choice for the handle is in perfect adequation with the " Bowie " spirit : good job and thumbs up ( sorry for bad english, loves from Belgium )
Thank you for the kind words, they motivate me to get back into the workshop and get to work, I needed this after the past week I have had battling Covid, thanks again and I appreciate you watching!
Finely a bowie knife.
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
Se que no vas a saber que te digo pero me gustó la idea de usar la máquina de rajar troncos.
Excelente idea y felicitaciones excelente trabajo
Good job
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
I`m not big on antler handles, but this is a really nice one. Overall a good looking knife.
