Speaking of which, Tarja has milions of loyal fans - among them amateurs and professionals alike. I have never seen such a young singer that much appreciated by people in same branch as herself. So I guess her technique reached it's purpose.
@3F93 To make a long story short: as long as the partiture is followed nobody has any right to critique. That looser/heavy vibrato is used in church music in many odes and psalms. I think she made a good decision using it because this song always had a kind of 'german rigor' and needed a bit of soul.
Her versatility is amazing. Her voice is wonderful in traditionally classical songs such as this one, but her operatic voice also works wonders with the hard rock/gothicy sound of her other music. One of the many reasons she is one of my favorite performers.

Era dic. del '06. N s momento ella no taba muy familiarizada con la pronunciación del latín. Con suerte podía comunicarc 1 poco n castellano con Marcelo. Si bien s cierto q al ser cantant lírica debería saber pronunciar bien l latín, convengamos q aprendió n Finlandia... las erres las hace fuertes. M gustaría escuchar cómo las cantaría ahora. Coincido con frigg567 acerca de la mal técnica de Tarja para cantar. Debo admitir que tiene una hermosa voz pero en ésta interpretación le faltó alargar notas y dejó mucho que desear; lo que no pasa con Sarah Brightman que se la lleva de calle y tiene mejor técnica, aunque a veces se le va la respiración.
