Whoa!! What an amazing drill to get back Rythem, timing, and spacing. Dealing with pace always created anxiety and fear when i return to hitting or during regular play. Still a blocker for me. I love this drill guys. Will give it a go. Thank you!!!
Loved this. I've been struggling with my timing, especially on the backhand side. Three simple swing keys (that work, tried them today): shorter takeback, leg drive, and core. I also enjoyed the slo-mo, and the music was decent as well. Thanks guys! Love your channel.
It is quite motivating that you are not just coaching but sharing your progress. Making us witness is a great way to make us understand the fundamentals of the real tennis!
Liked the feeding procedure for this drill for working on not only hitting early but changing the direction of the ball. The actual stroke production to not hit late reminded me of how I teach the return of serve.
This is perfect! I recently got paired against a player a level above me who pounded every ball very flat. It threw off my timing and discombobulated my strokes. 😄
Nice tip on the stance and the focus on core stability. Will try and keep this in mind for my match tomorrow - particulary for the return of service. As for content ideas: how to attack slow high balls without putting the ball in the net or out? I won today, but 95% of the points won by the other player were my direct faults. I just don't know how to be effective against slow paced shots.
I like to make a semi circle with some liners and you can see if the player is intercepting the ball inside that semi circle each time no matter the speed.
Hi just a quick question about windshield wiper forehand , do we contact the ball continue going forward then does the arm reach eye level compared to just going straight across body thanks
nice work... be careful on your backhand ... you are cutting a little bit the ball.. you should close a little bit your racket grip and loose your wrist for an easier finish ... But still a ice video.
After watching that I'd say you need to work on the closed stance. You are developing a bad habit swiping across the ball from an open stance. You footwork is what's holding you back not the quality of your strokes.

It is off putting for sure
Awesome drill Alex! It looks like you're hitting a good ball. I'll look forward to seeing you play some points👍
Awesome Alex - keep up the great work - love the videos!
Thanks for watching 👍
Great drill to zone in your timing and equally effective for returns! Great stuff!

I second this motion.
Nice one! Will have to give it a shot w my practice partner this week
Thanks for watching
Great drill Alex !
Beautiful strokes !
I think developing a take every ball on the rise mentality will naturally improve timing and spacing
Love it, sent it to my coach and doing it tomorrow! Out of interest, haven’t seen you do a video with Simon for ages….?
Love the higher level drills.
More stuff with Josh, great player!
Coming soon
Excellent! Thanks 🙏 appreciate
Great drill. Thanks
Love this. Will practice with my dubz partner next session
the best advice on improving tempo instead of trying to train your visual sense with strings and fingers... LOL. from the other coach... Well done!

Thank you for very good instructions, however I find with my one handed backhand very important to stand perfect sideway
Otherwise I have my shoulder out of motion, and in this way I prefer to play agressive proper slice
could this be used for serve return drills?

The tricky part is that most players lack many of the athletic skills requires to make it happen.
This drill can be done at any level just reduce the speed of feed or stand further back, the close you stand the less time you give 👍
Yes
The racquet, is that Pure Strike Tour?
Where’s Simon?
👍

Getting predictable balls sure helps
Ok Eyore 🙄
2:25-2:30 music please
1:28 "I'm ready" "OK...You ready?" 😐
Good drill, lose the music
Yeap...all good but in a match you have to run🤣🤣
Step by step, focus on improving one thing at a time.
