I am 77 years old and this was my mother's favorite Gospel song, during the night she passed, I sat by her bed with my guitar singing all of her favorites into the wee hours of the late morning. I believe she was listening even though she was in a comma. Back in the old days, this was known as singing them over. I can't think of a better way to return to our God and his Son, Jesus Christ with wonderful gospel songs in our hearts. RIP Mom, I look forward to meeting you up there in Heaven and we will sing with that angel band. Making music praising our God.

My Dad used to sing this as a 3 part harmony with my Uncle and my Uncle's B-i-L. Takes me right back to listening to them practice in the front room at home in the 60's. Happy days... thank you.

My father was raised a Southern Baptist but converted to Catholicism after he married my mother. This is one of the Baptist hymns he remembered fondly from his childhood and youth, and it always makes me think of him. Thank you for this beautiful rendition, from a Catholic brother in Christ.
I'm sorry to say the Roman group is neither brother to those who believe in the Word of God nor Christian. Come out of her and believe the Word. At least read it to see the Truth before sinful men perverted it. Why would you be lost, dear sir or madam, by ignoring the Truth 😢? God loves you but He can't tolerate blasphemy against the work of His dear Son. Jesus said "it is finished". You can't add to that with rituals, so called saints and worship of Mary. Very lovely rendition of this wonderful old hymn by this charming group. As a child I sang this song many times at the old Etterville Church of Christ in Missouri. My dad led the congregational singing and I can see him now using his fore and middle fingers together beating time. There are many mysteries that will be revealed to us all when "Farther along, we'll know all about it" and then we will understand why!
