Its a touching video... My heart is crying for what happens to us ... But there is always a but! For me Greece ruined my happines, my life and future... How can I rebuild all of these stuff if I m gonna stay ''home'' an earn 400 euros per moth? I am 22 and my sister wants to be a doctor.. My dad has 6 months that passed away and Greece is giving us 200 euros per month to live... Sorry for me but I have leave from Greece for ever, just to keep breathing and my family have somethng to eat!

I don't understand you people slating this video because it has Giannis Antetokounmpo in it. Yes he may not be Greek by blood but does it really seem that he isn't Greek by heart? He was born and raised in Greece and just like a lot of people in Greece today, is striving to make something out of himself from almost nothing. He speaks Greek, I'm sure as hell that he think's he is Greek and if he didn't think so he wouldn't be playing for Greece internationally.

The problem is these commercials are made by directors and Greek people mainly living outside of Greece... If you come here it's a whole different story. Yes we have our History, our civilization, our culture, our Greek spirit and all that stuff but how is that going to help Greece get out of the mess it's in? Greece needs to change politically, the EU puppet government needs to be overthrown and we need to exit the EU just like UK is about to do, only then things will slowly get back on track.
The Greek people will finaly overcome this problem but I find it way too unreasonable that they have to pay so much. There is only so much a people can bring up, and the EU crossed that line. Children who go to school without breakfast, a couple who live with two children (1 still a baby) who do not have electricty or heat and no warm water. This cannot be the answer to pay the French, Dutch and German banks back. There must be another way, but our politicians use it to win votes. To seem tough.
Sadly, the diaspora, is only logia (words). The best minds, talent and of course, people who can, leave the country, give up on it and look back only for holiday or when feeling nostalgic (as a Greek will always feel nostalgic to home). It would be wiser for OneGreece to tackle our government, corruption and the fundamental problems back at home, rather than taking a backseat approach of speaking about our brand.

It's a pretty advertisement but what's the difference between the Greeks now and five years ago or ten? Other than the fact that Greece is now looming over an abyss, what has changed?

In the event that you haven't been following anything other than mainstream media and haven't heard, they (the institutions) want to keep Greece exactly where she is & if possible, even lower, so that other European countries (ie: Spain, Portugal) don't get any ideas that they can beat the European Union and actually have a say in matters.
This video is so obscure with explaining the problems of Greece. "We're Greek and my life is a struggle and oppurtunity-less" even though there are billions of people in the world living in far worse conditions. I'd feel more sympathy if Greece didn't cause it's own economic problems with irresponsible spending for over a decade. Now they want others to bail them out rather then putting more focus on developing a better micro economy to rise out of their struggles. Sure your lifestyle won't be the same, but that's life. Honestly, every great nation is about to fall. Stop begging and start working towards fixing your lives with what you have. We're all about to struggle. Being an American, I honestly have little room to criticize about being in debt because my country is in it's own sinkhole, but I'd rather struggle then beg for help when I know I have the power to control my circumstances and my life. My nation will fall and I will work hard to bring it back up. No donations. No pity. Just my hard work, sweat, blood, and tears.
Accusing Greeks for the debt that greek politicians caused, is like accusing all American people for the wars and pain that american politician caused (FOR THEIR OWN BENEFITS), or accusing German people for the WW2, or even worse accusing all people in Africa for their non-progress.... I somehow agree with you at some parts but what really bothers me, and honestly cannot understand why people see it that way, is the part that you say "stop begging and start working". I understand that being in America makes it impossible for you to know what we are going through but I'd like to ask you not to accuse someone like that if you are unaware of the exact situation... Cause being a Greek and reading this post on youtube while my friend's wife got fired and his only salary (in order to rase a 4 member family) is 330 eur (I think its 450 usd) really hurts....!!! Don't say that we don't work and we only beg cause Greek people made so many sacrifices the last 6-7 years and only to pay the debt some politicians made...!!! Don't know if you are old enough to have the responsibility of a whole family, but if you do I'm sure you 'll understand how things are here just by my single and only example.... and believe me, there are pleny of those here..... We Greeks should blame ourselves for voting again and again these people but giving a hand of help to the country that has given so much to the world community wouldn't be a bad think to do (and for us to ask)!!! However, while it is true nobody can "take" Greek's pride or identity or other attributes, these things can effectively be "given away" by living beyond our means and borrowing beyond your means. By living in this manner, some of the uniqueness of Greece is threatened by the loss of economic control.

Its a touching video... My heart is crying for what happens to us ... But there is always a but! For me Greece ruined my happines, my life and future... How can I rebuild all of these stuff if I m gonna stay ''home'' an earn 400 euros per moth? I am 22 and my sister wants to be a doctor.. My dad has 6 months that passed away and Greece is giving us 200 euros per month to live... Sorry for me but I have leave from Greece for ever, just to keep breathing and my family have somethng to eat!

I feel you , i miss my home, my wife everyone back in Greece... but i need also to dream and make my way to life... In Greece we are destroying our best - our youth our best professionals...cause the lenders are saying so ?? F..k off ! I owe nothing to them cause our traitor politicians were / are getting richer and we are paying the bill..
So , unless we get rid all of them yesterday, we have no home to come back... I feel so bad about it but, it is true...

I don't understand you people slating this video because it has Giannis Antetokounmpo in it. Yes he may not be Greek by blood but does it really seem that he isn't Greek by heart? He was born and raised in Greece and just like a lot of people in Greece today, is striving to make something out of himself from almost nothing. He speaks Greek, I'm sure as hell that he think's he is Greek and if he didn't think so he wouldn't be playing for Greece internationally.

As long as Hellenes, allow others to define them with the "slave name", "Greeks, Greece" and not Hellas or Hellenes, they will continue wearing "fustanelles" and selling "souvlaki", under the shadows of the Acropolis.

I totally agree with you considering the expression of one's opinion however I do not think that at the moment it is constructive to talk about blood, color and racial differences. For me anyone who has lived in this country and feels Greek at heart is Greek! Kudos again for the video
The problem is these commercials are made by directors and Greek people mainly living outside of Greece... If you come here it's a whole different story. Yes we have our History, our civilization, our culture, our Greek spirit and all that stuff but how is that going to help Greece get out of the mess it's in? Greece needs to change politically, the EU puppet government needs to be overthrown and we need to exit the EU just like UK is about to do, only then things will slowly get back on track.

The Greek people will finaly overcome this problem but I find it way too unreasonable that they have to pay so much. There is only so much a people can bring up, and the EU crossed that line. Children who go to school without breakfast, a couple who live with two children (1 still a baby) who do not have electricty or heat and no warm water. This cannot be the answer to pay the French, Dutch and German banks back. There must be another way, but our politicians use it to win votes. To seem tough.
Sadly, the diaspora, is only logia (words). The best minds, talent and of course, people who can, leave the country, give up on it and look back only for holiday or when feeling nostalgic (as a Greek will always feel nostalgic to home). It would be wiser for OneGreece to tackle our government, corruption and the fundamental problems back at home, rather than taking a backseat approach of speaking about our brand.

It's a pretty advertisement but what's the difference between the Greeks now and five years ago or ten? Other than the fact that Greece is now looming over an abyss, what has changed?
+fba90130 ~ True. But as long as the institutions continue to do everything in their power to humiliate Greece, things are very unlikely to change for the better. In the event that you haven't been following anything other than mainstream media and haven't heard, they (the institutions) want to keep Greece exactly where she is & if possible, even lower, so that other European countries (ie: Spain, Portugal) don't get any ideas that they can beat the European Union and actually have a say in matters.

This video is so obscure with explaining the problems of Greece. "We're Greek and my life is a struggle and oppurtunity-less" even though there are billions of people in the world living in far worse conditions.
I'd feel more sympathy if Greece didn't cause it's own economic problems with irresponsible spending for over a decade. Now they want others to bail them out rather then putting more focus on developing a better micro economy to rise out of their struggles. Sure your lifestyle won't be the same, but that's life.
Honestly, every great nation is about to fall. Stop begging and start working towards fixing your lives with what you have. We're all about to struggle.
Being an American, I honestly have little room to criticize about being in debt because my country is in it's own sinkhole, but I'd rather struggle then beg for help when I know I have the power to control my circumstances and my life. My nation will fall and I will work hard to bring it back up. No donations. No pity. Just my hard work, sweat, blood, and tears.
Accusing Greeks for the debt that greek politicians caused, is like accusing all American people for the wars and pain that american politician caused (FOR THEIR OWN BENEFITS), or accusing German people for the WW2, or even worse accusing all people in Africa for their non-progress....
I somehow agree with you at some parts but what really bothers me, and honestly cannot understand why people see it that way, is the part that you say "stop begging and start working". I understand that being in America makes it impossible for you to know what we are going through but I'd like to ask you not to accuse someone like that if you are unaware of the exact situation... Cause being a Greek and reading this post on youtube while my friend's wife got fired and his only salary (in order to rase a 4 member family) is 330 eur (I think its 450 usd) really hurts....!!! Don't say that we don't work and we only beg cause Greek people made so many sacrifices the last 6-7 years and only to pay the debt some politicians made...!!! Don't know if you are old enough to have the responsibility of a whole family, but if you do I'm sure you 'll understand how things are here just by my single and only example.... and believe me, there are pleny of those here.....
We Greeks should blame ourselves for voting again and again these people but giving a hand of help to the country that has given so much to the world community wouldn't be a bad think to do (and for us to ask)!!!

I understand and appreciate the deep sentiments emphasized in this video. However, while it is true nobody can "take" Greek's pride or identity or other attributes, these things can effectively be "given away" by living beyond our means and borrowing beyond your means. By living in this manner, some of the uniqueness of Greece is threatened by the loss of economic control.
Please go fight with one another somewhere else. It's time to build the Greek dream. This is not a DNA Testing Lab.
