Beautiful explanation and breakdown at the end! Considering visiting from the UK. We visit Turkey once a year and find it the best in everything BUT one needs to experience different countries and learn, grow this way too. In Turkey, those boat tours include meal and some kind of sweets too which again is such a bargain and there are 5-6 stops with swimming in each one, again music/no music choices. I think Albania is more expensive option due to proximity to Europe but beaches look really beautiful, will check it out and saved your video for that! Kudos!
Really glad that you liked it and if you have any specific questions about going just give me a shout here... I love having a plan and knowing a place, but its always great to visit new countries and experience different cultures. The value in Albania is great but I know its also really good in Turkey. Yes Geez! Too video pal, super helpful for me and my wife who are looking to visit Albania, especially as we originally were going to stay in Ksamil, but as we like a busier environment and more dining/drinking options it seems Sarande is a better option. Quick one, thinking of staying at the hotel you stayed in, but we usually go for one with a pool. With that not being the case, is there easy beach access in Sarande itself or is it just via the club at Lost? Oh and would you say there is a lot of evening food options? Curious as you went to Haxhi twice I think. Cheers mate! (Sergio Ramos had me btw 😂)
I would 100% stay in Sarande and do a day trip to Ksamil. Eat at Madfish, Manxarane and Haxhi. There are lots of options, but I would say there are the best 3. The beach in Sarande is a public one and I would say 10 mins walk from where we stayed. There are some hotels with pools closer to the ferry port. We didn’t go there, but if you fancy a pool I would deffo check those out. If we stay were we did request floor 4 (our floor) or the 5th for the best views. If you want me to put you in touch with a great taxi driver to get around places and the Kamal etc drop me a DM on insta and I’ll share his number. Garethwright2
Everyone seems Ksmail online and wants to stay there. I think it’s super overrated but gotta do at least a day trip to check it out. You’ll see the vibe when you are there, but there isn’t loads going on at night compared to Sarande. The beach is beautiful just very busy so get there before 10.00am. Glad you liked the Sergio Ramos line. Any questions just bang them on here… 🤝
Looks naughty Gaz, I'm heading to Sarande next week. Quick one, would you say its best to change money up out there? Pounds to Lek or Euros to Lek? Also, what did you find the best way of getting around was? Was thinking of getting a car for a couple of days? Thanks in advance!
That’s great to hear - Sarande is amazing! I paid for most things on my card, but cash wise they take Euros or LEK. I seemed cheaper if you paid in LEK so I would probs get that in cash. We didn’t get a car and just got a taxi everywhere. Sarande is walkable in 20 mins from one side to the other. You will need a car/ taxi if you go to the Blue Eye or Ksmail. Obviously you can’t drink if you drive, that’s why we got a taxi so you can enjoy yourself 😊 I can put you in touch with the taxi guy we used if you want?
I am planning on going to Albania next year and have heard you can’t swim in the blue eye, did you notice that or can you swim legally further upwards?
There are signs advising against it - but people were jumping in there. We got in the water a little bit downstream in between the Blue Eye and the small restaurants. There were no signs there... any other questions just let me know

Hey! I would stay in Sarande and then do trips from there. Arame’s Beach is amazing and the accommodation looked incredible, but I don’t think there is much in terms of nightlife. If you want a super chill out maybe stay there. I would 100% do a trip there and go to the beach for the day. We did Lost Seaside twice. Sarande had lots more going on in the evening. We stayed at Hotel Lili 2. If you book it say I sent you and ask for floor 4 or 5. They have the best views. They are about a 10 mins walk to Sarande, so either stay there or stay on the port side of town. Eat at Manxarane, Haxhi and Madfish. Day trips: - Blue Eye was cool for a half day trip. - The vineyard was crazy value. £7 each for all those drinks. - Arameus beach is past Ksmail. We thought Ksmail was insanely busy but it is beautiful so I would probs check that out. - Koreza beach boat trip 100%. Crystal clear waters. Take some food as it’s only accessible by boat, so the food options aren’t the best. - Sunset at the castle is a must. The wine was €4 a glass and such a nice evening. Get up there an hour ish before. Any other questions just give me a shout. Gaz
Thank you so much! Does the first hotel in Ksamil aramera resort include breakfast? Also, hotel lilli is a much more affordable option which I really like. My worst holiday experience in my life and i was on manny places. Pricew like in Switzerland. They have a horrible system. You cant acess the beach for free, all is private and its closed with chairs and umbrellas. You can only swimm if you payed a chair. Its one public beach and even there they have chairs and the parking spot is on a field whitout shadow. 1 euro per hour. If you swimm whitout you payed for a chair, they come to send you away telling you "sir madam this is a private beach and its only for our customers, you have to go now. There is literaly no nightlife, alot of bars and restaurants but nothing else. The beach itself and the nature are just amaaaazing, the water is soooooo nice blue, but thats it😁 This place is only for familys and only for maximum 4 days.

Going in a couple of weeks, very helpful video! Would you say it's best to take euros and then transfer to lek when you get there since you cant exchange lek outside of albania? And are buses a viable option to get around sarande or is it just taxis? (And are taxis reasonably priced?)

If you need any taxi’s I can put you in touch with a guy who sorted us out every day we were there.

Any questions just bang them on here… 🤝
Looks naughty Gaz,

Quick one, would you say its best to change money up out there? Pounds to Lek or Euros to Lek? Also, what did you find the best way of getting around was? Was thinking of getting a car for a couple of days?

I paid for most things on my card, but cash wise they take Euros or LEK. I seemed cheaper if you paid in LEK so I would probs get that in cash.

Sarande had lots more going on in the evening. We stayed at Hotel Lili 2. If you book it say I sent you and ask for floor 4 or 5. They have the best views. They are about a 10 mins walk to Sarande, so either stay there or stay on the port side of town.

Haha it wasn’t my intention 😂

Albania is the country with most variety of alcohol beverages despite being presumably a Muslim country . How shameful.
@@mahmoudabdelhameed3127 is Albania mainly Muslim? I thought there was a big mix of religions there?

I’ve never been to Canada, but wasn’t aware it was communist. Albania is top 3 off all time for me

Se avevo 10 Mila € mi divertivo di più;😊
Accommodation / hotel for 9 nights - €500
Spending money (food, drinks, boat trips etc) for 9 days - €650/€750
Cheaper than you think :)
@@gazwrighttravelis there a better vacation spot in the world that offers what Albania offers for a cheaper price?
@@invader7191 I haven't been to every country so it's hard to say. But from my experience it 100% has to be up there. Amazing beaches, the weather was 30+ degrees every day, the food was amazing and your talking €2.50 / €3.00. You can't argue at any of that :)
Have you got the name of the wine tasting place? Great job putting all this together 😊
Hey - I just emailed them from their Google address - search Kantina e Verës ISAK :) if you need a driver whilst there I know a guy who can sort you out with any trips to places like the winery, Ksamil etc?
