    Magnesium requirements are higher in fibromyalgia because of the constant activation of the central nervous system. Minimum amounts aren’t yet established for fibromyalgia but the understanding according to leading fibromyalgia researchers is it may be as much as twice the RDA or maybe more. It is essential to get enough magnesium in order for the muscle spasms in fibromyalgia to decrease in both frequency and intensity. I did not realize that pumpkin seeds, Lima beans, and navy beans were so high in magnesium. I snack a lot on pumpkin seeds and I use Lima beans in a bean side dish. Navy beans make great inexpensive soup, especially good in the winter. Thank you for the information.

      I have had bypass surgery and liver and gallbladder and some hernia surgeries in the last four years. So it's a real challenge for me to balance them out where I am thinning my blood for the heart, but not too much where it causes bleeding from the cancer related surgeries.
      A six million dollar robot at Barnes Hospital pulled a cantaloupe size tumor, forty percent of my liver and gallbladder out of me. The surgeon said I was three weeks away from dying. • @drjoetvMD
      @drjoetvMD  3 года назад +3

      Women need about 300mg of Magnesium per day. Men need 400mg. So it depends on the nuts and seeds. I usually give how much nutrient you get from each food when I do these videos. You can do the calculations from there knowing how much that food supplies against the background of how much Magnesium you need daily. Usually a good idea is to get your nutrient supply from different food sources as opposed to relying on one source only
