    I remember when Mobb Deep first came to Philly, the crowd made them perform Shook Ones like 5 times in a row. Didn’t want to hear nothing else. Havoc was trying to stage dive but security kept stopping him. Damn, that was almost 30 years ago.

    Nas is my all time favorite. When Nas name came up, they whole demeanor changed, you immediately got the vibe that Nas was beyond his time. Havoc mad genuine for reals

    A lot of people don’t really realise how much Mobb Deep influenced the scene back then. Everybody was biting their style including Jay Z, shit they even had Nas rocking the camo suits. It’s so ill that they were just kids too, pioneers from early 💯

    I was lucky enough to see Hav and P in LA multiple times when they were touring. I even shook their hands and they were both cool as hell. Definitely one of the best memories in my life.

    I went to Art & Design HS too. I think i came a year after havoc graduated. That school is in the middle of manhattan but it was real!! You had BK, Harlem BX and Queens and LES dudes in one school. I remember the lo- lives and decepticons running while down town and beef with julia richman high school. It got real walking to that 59st train station with your click.

    ok boss..these legends deserve more flowers!.mobb deep was consistently dropping hot music for 15 years..I was in high school in 94 when noticed there sound..it stuck out like wu tang but a little different..there picture was painted like no other...time flys so fast..its a blessing..good look cheif.

      @@chrispronger6614 beatwise yeah, mobb deep, gangstarr, pete rock and cl smooth. A mc and a dj, the real way. Alot of people dont respect mobb deep for this but they kept there act true hiphop in that sense. Hav spit to wich made it doper, but it was known Havoc was the beatmaker and P strictly rhymed, i think P mighta produced some later beats im not sure. Alchemist helped further develop there sound, hes not one to slouch on either, and is just about on the same tier maybe a little under because Havocs just G status, Alchemist has straight fire beats. When he goes for that gritty NY sound, or flips classical instruments pianos, hes dope with stuff like that.

    Mobb Deep was one of few NY rappers back in the day that would really make me almost feel like I’m in a dark alley in the East Coast for a Cali dude like myself. Still my fave East Coast tracks to listen to till this day

    Yo this is yomtv raps style interview,this is so cool! Keeping it 90's in 2024,
    1990's was definitely a different world, everyone from the mid 90's was at the top of they're game at that time,and it was the peak of hip Hop
