Joy can be used also to bait out the resources of enemy team. One notable example is what did Edward during IESF where he withstood almost of the skills of 4 heroes of Cambodia alone just to get his teammates enough space to take objectives.
one of the key factor leading to Joy's ban rate in M4 was how they utilise her immunity to cc which enables her to zone out enemy's backlines...and TV FwydChicken was the best Joy user in M4 imo

I've been using Joy with damage build, but I guess a semi-tank build isn't that bad for her after all. Thanks for the free build! I'll be using her more often with this build!

Most people don’t pick joy because they find it hard to use her but she’s really good because of mobility and stun immunity. With reasonable dmg

There is a small gap between perfect rhythm and if you get cced in between 2 dashes, then u r doing nothing except running away or dying.

For those who think Elgin used Joy pretty well and are amazed by her dmg output, I would love to let you all know that he was only dealing about 50% of her actual maximum DMG output. For those who don't know, you can basic attack mid-dash, so the real combo should be (2nd, basic, 1st, 2nd, basic, 2nd, basic, 2nd, basic, 2nd, basic, ult, 1st) You can then imagine how dead you must be as an enemy having to tank that because you can't really run away from Joy unless she misses her dash, you're fanny or idk, skill diff lmao
I currently have over 100 matches, 85% wr mythical glory 800+ this season and would only lose if the enemy has too much burst and a franco, because suppression counters cc immunity of her 2nd skill :(

She's so fast can catch u in a long range as long as there is an enemy or minions to bridge her to her target. Mostly immune. She can damage u using her 1st & 2nd combo without receiving enough damage & finishing u with her ult. She's a monster.

It's so weird to me seeing joy not basic attacking after dashing, I've always played joy to basic attack every after dash because calamity reaper is my core item for joy xD
yea it does more damage during a combo. It's the best way to maximize her dmg

when she released, i used her a lot of times and i really loved playing her, but then i find it hard at end games where the enemies are too strong for me to use my dashes perfectly haha
One tip for joy is to basic attack in between the dashes to increase damage
Also another tip is to first skill on jungle creeps to increase speed and shield. Also place first skill on the ground during ult even if there's no enemies because the shard will be absorbed if u go through it which increases speed and shield to chase enemies
The shields stacks if u passive fast enough so spam the first skill to creeps or enemies whenever u get the opportunity
Oh also the beats is only important only if you'll use Ur ult so if u turret dive without having ult and your focusing on the kil, just spam the dashes don't focus on catching the beat in time
Vengeance is best spell and mid is preferred in my opinion
Also u can charge your dashes on creeps to get ult really fast and ult marksmen combined with vengeance for easy kills
Joy is like magic damage Benedetta, they are assassin, have enough damage, can sustain in team fight, and dash a lot.
Tbh I think current Joy should be assassin/fighter, she has shield and built in lifesteal, which are fighter things, only lacking is CC

@@-1081 remember that time during benedetta's release that her skill 1 can almost delete a squishy? yeah they had to tone down her damage from assassin to fighter type damage because of how broken unli dashing is. with joy, they didnt even bother releasing her with insane damage output, they just dropped it down from the get go. still, both can dive backlines quickly. you dont see a thamuz doing that without getting perma cc'd

The good thing about joy is you can immediately get close to the back line heroes such as mm,mage
The reason why Joy is popular is her insane mobility that allows her to rotate and impact skirmishes faster than her opposing laner. She can also easily escape ganks which gives her teammates space to make plays for objectives. Late game, she can be really annoying and can zone out the enemy backline. If her advanced server changes ever make it live, her popularity will probably drop.
Same like Harith when he was op during his release but after several Nerf he is not that much popular

I tried for Joy and I was just using by jungle/retribution. Only different I was editing my emblem and item but just one of my defense. I need clock of destiny making her helpful during to the team fight.

she's one of those heroes that requires high skill and good internet connection one second of lag spike then your combo is done. That's why casual rank players specially those mobile data users that constantly feel lag spike out of knowhere won't even bother to use joy.

I encountered joy once while I was playing franco.I found that she is really annoying when she dashes through my teammates and I decided hide the suppressed effect to her.The reason on hiding ultimate skill she can't effect cc which means no longer hook her while she's on ultimate stage.I carried that match if I hadn't played franco the match would be lost.

Her current gameplay is fine tbh, they should’ve just nerfed her dmg or mov spd more instead of completely revamping her to betted fit her “assassin” role instead of a weirdly sustainable assassin _(ahem ahem, old fanny)_ but ig it is what it is, and now her music is shortened even which sounds so wrong :c

Joy is pretty strong on the early to mid stages part of the game but her late game kind of falls off that's why I think she's OP but still balanced.

Joy can be really good when the enemys skills is just aoe cuz some people just press the skills without thinking
Joy is really good in laning with most heroes. Good thing about her is how she can easily reach the enemy back line in later phases of games where there are 10 man fights, thanks to her cc immune abilities. I feel Joy is pretty weak against Franco and Dyrroth in enemy team.

@@Baddas_ Dyrroth is annoying as he can be both tanky and deal high amount of damage. He is pain to lane against as he has huge damage output from the very early stage of game.

You know what I do when I play joy? Flat out tank build💀, I won't get killed plus I get to waste enemies' skills and it's easier to complete her beats not worrying about dying beforehand. with my experience, I find her better to use as a roamer with a dire hit (still tank build) and keep the enemy dmg dealer focus fire on you while teammates free hit.

I can't play joy well because of my urge just to spam her dashes and not wait patiently it's like an instinct for me when I see her second skill my brain just go monke mode
I actually main joy. She's very good if you got really good teammates. Otherwise, as a solo, it's nearly impossible to carry a whole team as she isn't much of a threat by late game if your teammates are still not playing well.

Simple reason I don't have gold to buy her and this month's gold income I felt Baxia looked sexy. I'm satisfied with my purchase coz he is pain for non crit builder mm and mages that harash with slow and don't have burst. But I don't build cursed helmet on him.

Finally, someone noticed Joy. She is overpowered, but im guessing its because of her rhythm that people doesent really want to play her.
Honestly, she is very easy to use, high damage, and very fun gameplay. Thats why i love her. Unfortunately tho, she got nerfed to the ground in advanced server, so i might not use her anymore unless they lift that nerf

thb its not the mobility thats op, its her shield and cc immunity. if theres no hard hitting heroes she can just fly through and kill straight their dps. she can just ignore low dmg opponents cuz her shield can just tank those and went straight to the dps

I play solo queue most of my time , I just ban Joy because 99% people would choose running toward Tower which is 1 KM away instead of a Kaja 1 CM away when Joy starts dashing in between
Joy is amazing but the recent rework on advance server just kills her. I think she is balanced in all senses, people that have a hard time playing against her are mostly people that don’t know when to attack her. She counters a lot of stun based heroes but has the right dmg to let them respond when she ults, they just have to wait before trying to stun her. Morover, she is also almost useless against some other heroes like Hilda or Dyrroth or Paquito which are actual exp lane monsters, or Franco, Minsithar, Valir… even a flameshot in the right moment cuts her dash combo or makes her go back when she chases you while she ults. People complain about her because they don’t know how to counter the hero, and the changes Moonton did on advance server makes the Joy experience so different.
agree with everything but just to clear things out, Joy is immune to cc while dashing. to those who are wondering, we need to time the flameshot after she dashes so her next dash will find no target. ✌️
@@casbdav I actually thought that Joy immunity is “on” not only while she dashes, but also the whole time we hear the beats. That’s at least what I understand reading the dash skill description. And as far as I know Joy’s immunity does not work against enemy skills that move Joy. That’s why Dyrroth, Hilda or Paquito (or the flameshot) can cut the dash combo; also Edith, Zilong or Guine with their airborne skills, or Kufra whatever he does (I don’t understand Kufra but I hate him so much).
I mean, that’s what I have understood by reading the dash skill description and playing with her a lot, but I can be wrong (and maybe that explains why I have been sometimes stunnes while the dash combo, or maybe there’s some bug with Joy immunity).
@@GabrielPerez-nj3bb just watched an old video and she is immune to cc the entire time she's doing the dash beats so i'm wrong in that one ✋. i also saw an old video where zilong cannot flip her but since you've been encountering it a lot, it's probably been patched out or there's now a bug in pull/push cc.
I got 14 win streak from M4 to M2 using Joy. Using her most as roaming cause she is so annoying and if mid lane. Seldomly chooses the exp lanes especially Lapu is almost always open in ranks and getting picked most of the time by either teams
I just used Joy recently, she is really fun to play. However, she falls off in the late game because she can’t sustain damage of a full build marksman

probably why joy is picked so little in rank is because of her little room for error and toughness to play although maybe the nerfs didn't help
maybe because some players have shitty internet speed so a hero who relies solely for fast internet connection is a no no. As for me, i only use marksman or fighter who mostly do basic attacks because i can't trust my data connection speed. It is so sad i really want to use assassin heroes but i can't because of the internet problem not because of the skills.
