If you just use the Ult defensively you can have no boots. But if you use it offensively like blocking an area to where the enemy will run so that it can be isolated, you need boots. Get either 1 of the Defensive Boots against Magic or Physical, or have the Mana Boots for unlimited Mana in lane. Also MM Emblem with slow is better than the one used here since it synergizes more with Corrosion Scythe and 2nd Skill.
What sucks about Melissa is there’s better picks to ban. But leaving Melissa open is a gamble because if the enemy team has a good Melissa, team fights are almost always decided by her

Warrior Boots or Tough Boots. Warrior Boots in particular has a really underrated unique passive for survival in the early game.

No boots very early game to buy low tier items that will help you a lot, like crossbow. And no boots very late game since you have whole team protecting you or your dps is super high alreay.

Tried for the first time right before seeing this video going windtalker, legion sword and javelin for the rest of the slots built first, no shoes. It worked but need more testing cause enemies were bad

I actually think when you're about to have a team fight, you should use melissa's second skill first than first skill, because her first skill can move muddles which is important in team fight so that whenever the enemy got a little far you can still hit them

When i pick gloo and they dont have Faramis, i am not afraid. They pick Melissa for DHS build against me but, dire hit, dominance ice, blade armor and vengeance would heavily disagree. Dire hit works with vengeance combo. Also my real counter to her is JOHNSON with the same combination of items but he makes blade armor even stronger cuz its dmg is also based on phys def, and my build has exactly 500 def. Just build phys boots, dominance, quirass, blade and 8% additional phys def from emblem. That does it. Also johnson can break through Melissa ult with his, stunning her and rendering her useless.
Unless you spam 4-5 blade atmor, you can't reach 500 physical def. Also, stacking a lot of def is actually a bad thing since with more def you aren't getting exactly a lot more damage reduction. This is due to how armor works in mlbb, from 0-120 def your damage is reduced by 100-50% but from 120-240 it's 50-33% which gives only 17% extra damage reduction.
I don't build boots on Melissa at all, but i use crit build isntead as windtalker gives 20 movement speed along with cs and bod which give 5 movement speed each so in total i have 30 movement speed

Inspire with golden staff full build doesn't really do much, it's only useful in early game and for more hp Regan 1st skill = inspire or 1st skill+ inspire (same damage)
If you dont build boots pick a emblem that has a mspd like assassin+8%mspd lvl 50 also the normal or minimum mspd is 280 like layla is the slowest mspd hero hahah
It's irritating when your random teammates keep picking fights especially if you're behind in gold. Also, objectives should be first & skirmishes are just means to get those. There are so many YTers w/ ML contents on how to play this game, but there are still idiots who don't seem to know what they're doing.

Same thoughts, bursting down enemies with crit build is very crucial specially on mid-late game but even so, trinity is useful for tanky enemies.
