an original body hanzo chasing after a natalia is one of the funniest things ive seen in this game
Everytime someone use Natalia while I use Hanzo i am scared going in the jungle or outside the base

As a hanzo user, i never got scared of natalia. Just build 2 tank item first and nat will stop pursuing you
Used to do that as a tank build hanzo😂😂😂 funny they focus on me and always end up wasting time on me.
It's very weird to see a Hanzo fighting with his main body in normal melee range.
it sure is, but it is pretty fun ive got to play a few games with him and managed to do very well despite not being in his ghost form. Mind you this was before his revamp, that and those were mostly classic games.

In terms of his lore, he can really fight well without his ghost form hahaha
with tank build as a hanzo main its now one of my favorites because you can keep up with enemies even with body form
lol even with damage build as long as you are not nerf by them killing your ghost form you can typically 1v1 depending on the enemy, the thing is why ran if you know that you really have no choice but to fight more over knowing that you got better equips than the enemy since hanzo is a flash farmer. Conclusion: those with sprint hanzo using sprint on running are definitely low ranks.
Some tips for hanzo:
1. Try to eat a creep right before using ult, it can help to replenish some energy during the ult after it digested
2. Max your skill 1 first since its damage scales highly with skill level, at max lvl it deals 25% max hp
3. As its ghost form half your physical and magic def, if you want to buy tank items, go for high hp or utility items like cursed helmet and immortality
4. If you have trouble activating your skill 1 (ult form), you can try getting golden stuff which allows you to activate skill 1 with 3 stacks at the cost of lower overall damage
11:08 People might not notice but this bug it's pretty annoying, and I've noticed it for quite a long time. When a minion is on the borderline of the turret's agro, it'll tank the turret shot for the players but the defense of the turret is not lowered. You can literally see on the health bar at the top where the base regen out-healed hanzo's damage. Even if you're a tank, this shouldn't have happened when there's a minion within the turret range.
Hope they noticed this soon...
But at that time beatrix was taking the shots after edith threw her into the turret
The most annoying bug if last minion is dead and u keep attacking tower it wont get reduction dmg again
Yeah this bug has prevented me from ending the game sooner with argus inspire
One of the best things about hanzo tank build is that all of his usual counters (Natalia, harley fanny etc) Are now useless against him and tank hanzo is good if your team lacks sustain/too much on damage
Agree, not to mention that also means he's more independent than before, meaning that he can still do wonder even with selfish teammates who wouldn't cover him, which is still common even on high rank games (especially if they're the troll type just because you pick Hanzo)

And we lost because of too much damage and sustain
I disagree as Natalia user. Tank hanzo is not a problem because of the new update of items.

Honestly I've tried tank items and its really good to know enemies can't kill his real body easily.

Hanzo tank is rather annoying to deal with its like getting annoyed by a bug which can’t be killed

I think his low ult cd is fair since he can barely did any damage in his normal form. His main damage is mostly in his demon form so I'm fine with it.

I think tank Hanzo is a good idea because he can join more teamfights that way instead only using the demon form to join. Besides that , assassin are useless against him in this way due that he using tank items so it's hard to burst him down . And plus ,you can easily to say Hanzo is like a duo tank when he is using a tank build. One from his main body and one from his demon form
i think the Hanzo ult, the armor & magic res will be reduced by half?(not sure how many)...

The best thing about tank build Hanzo is honestly the fact that he's much more independent than usual, so you won't be in such a disadvantage if your team don't want to cover you, which is more common than you think because of Hanzo still considered as troll pick, even though he's legit

I've been using him. With the same build for quite a while now. Together with the jungle emblem.
I tried playing Hanzo as a mid with petrify & it's effective. As a mid i could rotate where ever I want safely... 3 damage item, a boot & two defense..
I have. Unfortunately I haven't thought of this a lot earlier. It's really really strong because your 1st skill in your ultimate form does percent health damage. Everyone knows that any hero that does percent health damage can just build tank and still deal decent damage
It is the target's max hp. Not Hanzo's.

@@relanaristoteles3143 it is, the point is he doesn't need to build damage item, he still scaling pretty well into the late game because his 1st skill deals damage based on enemies max hp.
I used a Hanzo tank build with a tank emblem(Cooldown and HP), but I equipped a demon hunter sword and Corrosion Scythe, the rest of the items are magic and physical resistance. fair enough to stay longer fighting on enemies' damage dealer.
I think hybrid hanzo is the way to go. Just build DHS and golden staff for hanzo and the rest is tank items depending on the enemy. His 2nd skill benefits from attack effects so dhs is a good build and golden staff so you could trigger your first kill faster and it also a good combo for dhs. Offlane hanzo or roam hanzo can also be played with a petrify spell coz he can use petrify while using his 2nd skill just like benedetta's ultimate petrify combo.
I think this build might be the new build for Hanzo because of course his main problem is just how extremely squishy he is with his original body so this build is really perfect for him.
I think its pretty effective, but you could also add Malefic Roar if enemies have multiple tanky heroes.
Hanzo's weakness is his own body. However, if you build tank, it covers his weakness to a degree. I've done unorthodox builds too like tank Karina and even her passive does decent damage while having more survivability. If you're lacking a tank, tank builds work surprisingly well on some assassins.

Only disadvantage is probably the 50% reduce defense when using ult but it not like it matters anyways
I used to go full tank when tank meta was the way to go. He was actually op but no one noticed. Tanks got nerfed a lot. So I started building him semi tank with trinity and 2 defensive items. It gives you good tankiness and you can still deal decent damage.

I tried this last season and this is good because of his sustain and decent damage but I prefer my own build (magic shoes, golden staff, hunter strike, corrosion or DHS, malefic roar or immo/bruteforce)for better cd reduction and decent damage (magic shoes,golden staff,corrosion,DHS,malefic and immo focus on attack speed only) then high and dry assassin emblem then petrify or retribution for the spell (I always prioritize Golden staff because hanzo can play fast because of the item's passive)
the whole point is to try tank build, no one is asking about your dmg build….
Interesting playstyle for hanzo to use
Its a fully objective base and zone/kill backline it seems , Could be good
Also good for dire hit roaming hanzo, the kill potential is high. Also works well on brawl
Personally I still like the high damage assassin build or semi sustain cuz it feels more fun

HANZO TIP:
along/ in exchange with [Corrosion scythe], you can also use [golden staff] to easily trigger hanzo's first skill
yeah since twilight was revamped again so corrosion is the next best thing. tankzo is really good with cdr and best push harras enemies with just pure solo diving before clash. he can cheese them 1st before you start a war. also best harrass on tower huggers..
The problem is Hanzo's magic and physical def will be reduce by 50% on demon form

Yes I main Hanzo and i always use Tank Build. Its a very good build for him. Ur soul can last for a longer time in battlefield. And ur weak body also gets some defense against Hanzo counters like Natalia
Bro, my 2-men party friend also use this optional build too, and somehow effective in some cases.
Haven't tried tank Hanzo.. but I have used Tank Arlott, Tank Lancelot and Tank Aamon all quite effective 💪🏾

I've used hanzo tank since forever lmao. But teammates often think im trolling so that's why its better to do it with trio. Also hanzo can be used as exp laner or gold with tank build, whule u occasionally steal enemy's jungle

For me i use blade armor when most of the enemies are basic attackers and dominance ice when there is a heavy healer like Estes.

I experimented with Hanzo tank and I think its best build will be
Battlespell: Sprint
1. Rapid Boots [dire or encourage (roaming allows you to be constantly stealing your enemies buff if your hyper doesnt know what invading means) ]
2. Cursed Helmet
3. Twilight Armor
4. Bruteforce breastplate
5. DHS or Cs or Gs
( dhs if 2+ enemies are tanky. Cs if the enemy lineup is balanced. Gs if the enemies have high mobility heroes or using sprint )
6. Dominance ice (or Sea Halbert if your team is lacking dmg. i.e. If your marksman or hyper is inexperienced)

Tank build is great even in higher rank if there is many counter for him, but if there's not too much counters i still recommend normal build ...
This build will only work if Hanzo is the jungler. I mean you can try to use it without jungle emblem but it will be hard because you have no damage and it will get harder in the late game unless your teammates is strong or your enemy is not thinking straight.
Its more efficient to eat the red buff and use retri for cabbage cuz red buff has a lot more hp.

I wouldn't personally recommend not just hanzo tank jungler but other tank junglers in solo queue. It's super hard when it is late game and your mm can't do anything.

It's deceptively short because you have to spend time collecting energy. If you spam too much you'll end up getting dragged to the middle of the team fight

Met a jungler Hanzo with tank build . Not very good since he does not have good damage due to being hp oriented rather than the normal damage build which led to giving too much pressure on us with Leomord being the enemy jungler. So I suggest adjust to something that will help with clashes
