She is a talented actress, fair complected like Florence, and though she doesn't look exactly like Florence in the face, she is similar enough that the right makeup and hair would make her a believable Florence. Trying to think of an actress to play Florence is hard for me, because the best actresses for the role are now too old. Florence was only 32 when she died, so the age of the actress would be a huge factor.

Not just a great entertainer, but Florence was also quite a character. If they could find an actress to really portray the real Florence, I think the movie would be a smash hit. My favorite book about The Supremes is All That Glittered by Tony Turner, and he really conveys a lot of her personality in his book. Audiences got a little bit of her wit in The Supremes' shows, but she was an absolute hoot off stage too -- so witty, caring, dramatic, and an absolute diva.
The movie will NEVER be made. Too many dark forces at work to prevent the movie from being made. In addition, I am sure that Miss Ross and Mr. Gordy would file lawsuits to prevent it from being made.
Some men then had good jobs and were men who knew and did what a man was supposed to do. I'm always impressed with the women who endured having and taking care of all those babies.

If Flo just opened up her legs this might have been a different story. But I really think that BG was not Flo’s type but then you have others that will do anything to get ahead like sleeping with the boss. As I recall I think it was Flo that started the group. If you were BG main squeeze, he would most likely give you all the opportunities and not bothers with the rest of the girls. As that relationship grew the girlfriend was made the lead singer and the background arrangements for the girls became less and less to be able to show case the lead singer. You see this on TV shows where the camera main focus was with the lead singer and who was also made the main speaker of the group. I fell in love with the Supremes all the three girls with their own sound got me hooked. BG has been sued by so many of his artists that worked for him because of unfair practices or lack of salary payments. The way Motown was setup with the artist only being able to use the Motown attorneys was not fair because it’s a conflict of interest because Motown was only looking out for Motown and not the artists who some were only teenagers at that time. Even though Motown was a great idea, if they were just more transparent and honest with its artists things might have been a different story. After all these years, I just hope that all the Motown artists receive money for the sale of their records. I’m guessing that once BG meets his maker, someone will write a book and tell everything that went on at the real Motown and how it conducted business and treated its artists. This is MO .

Poor Florence. I think a lot of her problems as an adult stemmed from the fact that she was assaulted as a teenager. She probably never got any kind of help or therapy for it. It had less to with Diana or Berry, and more to do with this tragedy.

What is so sad is that Mary Wilson died 45 Years afterwards and in 2021 another Girlband Icon died. Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud 1981-2021 from the UK. When they did their last show in 2013, they wore Red Dresses as though they were paying homage to The Supremes, but Sarah made sure her Mother Marie was taken care of. Girls Aloud are doing a reunion tour and when they sang The Promise, through the magic of Technology they showed her singing.
Addiction doesn't win over talent. Diana was ALWAYS the one with the personality and voice. No one is PERFECT, but you have to have MORE than talent to become a legend. DIANA had the total package. The other girls, although talented , did not. Haters of Diana will always dis her.

Then on top of that beat her out of money she had earned. It's like he wanted to destroy her ....... and why? She did NOT deserve that. Hell David Ruffin left the Temps and got a solo deal. The same could have been done for Florence. It seemed personal.

What is so sad is that Mary Wilson died 45 Years afterwards and in 2021 another Girlband Icon died. Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud 1981-2021 from the UK. When they did their last show in 2013, they wore Red Dresses as though they were paying homage to The Supremes, but Sarah made sure her Mother Marie was taken care of. Girls Aloud are doing a reunion tour and when they sang The Promise, through the magic of Technology they showed her singing.
