Also, for the record, the fastest hat trick was not 8 seconds, that's ridiculous, it was 21 seconds, in 1952 by Chicago's Bill Mosienko against the Rangers. Which I suppose is also pretty ridiculous haha. And yes, come back to Oil Country Smyth!!
Sharks fan here, I have a lot of respect for the Oilers. Heart, Determiniation, great annoncers, and REAL video highlights from edmontonoilers.com. That was a tough loss for the sharks, Oilers certainly deserved that one! I find myself rooting for the oilers all the time lol, so go oilers go!!!

It was a matter of principle. Ryan Smyth was the heart and soul of the Oilers for a decade. He gave Edmonton a HUGE hometown discount for a number of years and when his contract expired he still offered to sign with them for 3 million less than what a few other teams offered. That should have been more than enough incentive, but Kevin Lowe got greedy; thinking that Smyth would eventually sign in desperation. Good on Ryan for not being Kevin Lowe's bitch. Good luck in Denver, Captain Canada.
