I love these guys. I had heart surgery in June, and my best friend wrote them about it, telling them about how they've been one of my favorite bands for years. They responded by sending me a signed CD he sent them, and two EPs. :) These really are wonderful people.

Clarence White was a bluegrass guitarist. In 1968 he became a member of The Byrds. He was tragically killed by a car loading equipment into a van. He is considered one of the greatest guitar players of all time.

Clarence was one of the most talented men to ever hold a guitar. Revolutionized bluegrass acoustic picking and went on to join the byrds and continued to revolutionize guitar playing on the electric side. Died tragically shortly after signing a big solo contract with warner bros. Never got to really show off his chops in a way. Criminally neglected by music media. A giant of American music who nobody knows. Also not sure how this relates at all to the song here
