@XxflamingarrowxX yeah he has had a bunch of riffs (the ones heard here and a couple other places on the album) created since the 90s. When gameplanning for FI Danny said he had revisited some of them and finally thought of a way to work some of Adam's riffs in to work with the 7 time of the song. Fun fact: tool records most of their stuff in 1 take. They master their songs after writing them, then head to the studio. They also don't play to a metronome live or in studio, which is why some parts that are the same might be slightly faster or slower if you put them next to each other.

I listened to this album on its midnight release, I wasn't stoned or on anything I just lay in my bed with my eyes closed with a good pair of headphones.
Stayed with you through the whole thing! You’re able to verbalize what most of us Tool fans are hearing and feeling which is why we’re such big fans. We don’t have the vocabulary to define it the way you do!
Let's go! Anyone else feel this is like the continuing message of The Pot in a metaphysical sense? The same old story of power and control and its failure over and over again...
Thank you Geebz... I’m 6 days clean and sober and this channel is helping me push through it. My dreams have been so intense and it’s nice to be able to wake up and throw on some of your videos; not just to distract myself, but to expand my mind and connect with you on a therapeutic level. Yeah I'm waiting for Geebz to discover primus too. Hopefully he starts with their early stuff, John the Fisherman wouldn't be a bad place to start, ease him in to the likes of Tommy the Cat. Primus still suck.
Just stumbled across your channel for the first time today and I've already binged about 4 hours worth of stuff. Absolutely love the content! Keep up the great work!!!
Awesome stuff as always! You're gonna love the entire Fear Inoculum album. Descending, Invincible, Culling Voices, Pneuma, all incredible engineering and musicianship. Can't wait for the next one. Cheers!
welcome back! I really hope you get to some Sigur Ros, and I know I've been saying this for a while but just in case... start with either "Svefn g englar" or "untitled #8" Aloha!🤙
Just to add, you hit every aspect of the song that I love right on the head too. Specifically the way that when they revisit the opening arpeggios later in the song (which at first sound almost kind of child-like nursery rhyme-ish to me) with Justin adding bass that hints at chord changes... that’s utter magic. And you name dropped Meshuggah at exactly the right point too. You’re really nailing this, dude. I know that it’s not about being ‘right’ so to speak, but for me you’re just always saying the right things.
37 minute for 7empest. Seems about right. LET'S GO!

I absolutely LOVE it when music grabs your ears and introduces your nose to the top of your desk,
Every time I see you do a TOOL reaction I get snacks and settle in😁💕stay well
Good stuff here, Geebz. Great reaction all the way through. Thank you!
Those harmonics on the small second solo raise the undead from the deepest place on Earth. What a perfomance from Adam Jones.
"That bass tone."
Yep, what else can you say? It just floors you when Justin comes in.
Two thumbs up for the longest Grammy winning song EVER! Looking forward to the rest of the Tool saga. ( Descending ) 🙏
This album was their cleanest, best mix as of yet of there catalog. So full and dynamic and detailed.
The growth of this channel has just been incredible
Still here! One of m favorite things about these videos is the facial contortions as your brain devours a holiday meal. It's great to see you listen to these songs, it's as if we get to hear the music again with new ears. Thank you!
this album is their magnum opus.one of my fav.albums of all time.i mean i love their other albums, but this one is top of tops for me
Amen 🙏
Lateralus is for me. But hey I love them all.
I've been a fan since 97, still, for over a year at least, this album has been my fav
A lot of your faces in this were just pure gold, I love it! Great job Geebz. 🤘🏼
I highly recommend Invincible on this album, its fantastic!
Love listening to your content. This is one of my absolute favorites.
"it was absolutely bitchin'!" Best technical analysis yet, thanks Geebz!
This song quickly became a favorite of mine, and I love to turn people onto it. There are a couple of great songs left in Fear Inoculum, let's do it!
I can't wait for Descending!!
@@dansourile5444 Should be epic!
I listened to this album on its midnight release, I wasn't stoned or on anything I just lay in my bed with my eyes closed with a good pair of headphones.
Same was blown away by descending and this one..
Same experience hearing Lateralus back in the day.
Did the exact same thing
Same dude
Stayed with you through the whole thing! You’re able to verbalize what most of us Tool fans are hearing and feeling which is why we’re such big fans. We don’t have the vocabulary to define it the way you do!
Let's go! Anyone else feel this is like the continuing message of The Pot in a metaphysical sense? The same old story of power and control and its failure over and over again...
The one constant in the second half of this song is that driving bass riff. And the texture that Adam has with his guitar is great.
Here we go again... 👍🤘🤯
Thank you Geebz...
I’m 6 days clean and sober and this channel is helping me push through it.
My dreams have been so intense and it’s nice to be able to wake up and throw on some of your videos; not just to distract myself, but to expand my mind and connect with you on a therapeutic level.
Thanks again, brother 🤙🏼❤️
You got this! Keep up the great work
Listen to the album glow by countless skies...epic and beautiful
@@Myfartslinger Thank you, brother. That means a lot..
I’m doing my best!
I’ll definitely have to check them out! Cheers mate 😊
Tool not just a band...or music...its a experience...a journey...never ending..forever spiraling out. So very much love and positivity to all...plz ppl...only LOVE no hate🤘🖤
I've always said to my friends, you don't listen to a TOOL album; you FEEL a TOOL album!
Yesss! Awwwright!! More Tool, thanks Geebz ❤️❤️❤️ It’s obvious how much the band has grown and mastered their craft over the years. Genius!
This album is amazing! Keep them coming Geebz.
You’re really getting up there in subscribers! That’s great to see. Thanks so much for all the great content. Keep having fun with it!!
has geebz heard primus? also that new intro is SIICCCCKK
Yeah I'm waiting for Geebz to discover primus too. Hopefully he starts with their early stuff, John the Fisherman wouldn't be a bad place to start, ease him in to the likes of Tommy the Cat. Primus still suck.
I want him to do Primus too. I think John the fisherman and To Defy the laws of tradition would be good ones to start on
I think he did Tommy the Cat already.
Just stumbled across your channel for the first time today and I've already binged about 4 hours worth of stuff. Absolutely love the content! Keep up the great work!!!
Why do I get emotional just hearing people talk about Tool?? Oh man. My great regret in life was find tool late. But oh shit, I'm making up for it.
Hard to find people appreciate it on the level that this guy can. Makes it emotional for me for sure :’)
Love the review! Maximum riffage, and it’s in 3 groupings of 7, my fav off the album...may I suggest Invincible or The Grudge next!!
Just coming back swinging for the fences!!!!
Right? This one has been a long time coming 💕
OR...hitting the ground running!!!!
You enlighten music noobs like me with your wisdom. Would be really cool if you could make a video on Planet Caravan from Black Sabbath!
Love the intro man, we all talk about you on the tool fb community
I already know this is going to be a crazy reaction. The song just takes you in so many directions at the same time.
Love how you occasionally refer to sections of the song as "movements" as though it's an orchestral arrangement.
Awesome stuff as always! You're gonna love the entire Fear Inoculum album. Descending, Invincible, Culling Voices, Pneuma, all incredible engineering and musicianship. Can't wait for the next one. Cheers!
welcome back! I really hope you get to some Sigur Ros, and I know I've been saying this for a while but just in case... start with either "Svefn g englar" or "untitled #8"
Aloha!🤙
Good call!!
Defenitly untitlef#8
No surprise this song won a Grammy. Especially since the main riff was written around the mid 90’s
My favorite
TOOL ---- D - E - S - C- E - N - D - I - N - G (next please)
This song deserves attention!!!!
And "Invincible"!!
Best eargasm on the album. You know which part I’m talking about too.
@@zachcampbell3229 Yep
If I were only allowed to listen to one Tool song that would be the one..
I know that it’s not about being ‘right’ so to speak, but for me you’re just always saying the right things.
good evening from the netherlands...watch Adam Jones go crazy on this one...
Love it. Great vid as usual! Please do Invincible, off of this album. It's a great ode to all of us aging warriors.
"Keep calm, keep it calm! F**k! Well, here we go again!"
welcome back! awesome reaction. Glad to have you back. I'm still here.
