Hori sheet sun! DJI is on a roll now. To think that they started as a flight company building parts and drones to now making amazing products for videography. Instead of going the cheap route, they know about quality of the products and the features as well to suck us all in. Definitely picking up the combo kit as it has a lot to offer.
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema oh yes. This new dji SDR likely could solve my EVF screen recording situation. I wouldn't have to attach my atomos ninja to my cameras anymore but rather just the SDR transmission to lighten the load.
If I have 3 transmitters attached via HDMI to three different devices [say 1 x Camcorder, 1 x DSLR and 1 x Drone RC], do I need three different receivers attached to my PC to pick up their signals or can I use just 1 receiver to pick up the 3 signals?
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema thank you! 🙏🏼 been wanting to upgrade the raven eye on the rs4 pro and I think this is a strong contender especially since I do a lot of shoots with my car rig and sometimes have to shoot while driving
Great video 🙌 I just saw Hollyland came out with a similar system, but there system allows you to stream using the receiver via USB C using UVC protocol. Do you know if this DJI system can do it? Its an instant buy if it can, as I use this for my day job and content creation as well.
It’s my prayer that you try this setup and film outdoor sports, mounting the RS Gimbal on a tall stand and chase action from the ground by utilizing the Force Mobile feature.. I don’t know about how to control the Zoom motor attached to the gimbal or should use a separate wireless Focus/Zoom Control System.
@@johnnyweissmuller5838 you can only say no latency difference when it is tested though. When dealing with electrical current and two different devices we never know if it can change things until it’s tested
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Latency only happens when the signal is processed through electronic components. A cable splitter only transfers the signal from one cable to 2 outputs. There is no processing so there is no latency.
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema I meant on the receiver end. You only used the iPad's USB-C out which could add extra delay since it runs through djis app instead of testing the hdmi out on the rx end.
The reason is because those reviewers did what he mentioned. They went camera to monitor to then transmitter. Where as Jason is correct, you want to go camera to Transmitter then monitor. Surprisingly, a lot of people go monitor first when I show up on set and I always have to correct it .😅
@@KofiYeboah interesting. I haven’t seen your video. Did you do a count down timer test like him to see for yourself or it’s just what DJI told you? I wonder if there is a specific mode to get this speed

How is this practical if it removes functionality of the gimbal?? ActiveTrack is not supported??... Please note that when the DJI SDR Transmission Transmitter is connected to a stabilizer, the multi-camera control cable from the stabilizer's combo must be used, and ActiveTrack will not be available. Additionally, when the DJI SDR Transmission Transmitter is connected to a stabilizer via the adapter plate, a native vertical shooting setup is not supported."
No, I have the RS2 and we need the Raveneye (I currently own) and I'm gonna buy just one transmitter $309 to send signal from the camera to any iOS device nearby...

Ordered it as soon as it came out.Just what the doctor ordered at a great price.
that's great. Definitely my favorite video transmitter!
Will be great if there's quad view on the ipad when shooting with multiple cam for interviews. That means multiple TX connect to 1 RX.
This Transmitter will cast a boom in the market, 3 miles avaliable using SDR
Great video Jason! Quick question ? Since it uses the DJI app, would it be able to use active track like the raven eye?
This I am not sure of and haven't tested. I will try get to this

Same range as the dji transmission?
Hello Jason,
Can u control Sony camera directly thru the RX and TX units and monitor, without the ronin app ?
Wow! Can this be use on Facebook live broadcast?
Check out OBS you might be able to do it.
Looking into the Transmission combo, I don't think it comes with the ipad/phone holder included. Can you confirm please?
How is LUT support on the iPad?
What is the aspect ratio you use? Great video!
2:1 great for watching on phones
There are also hdmi splitter cables if you need 2 hdmi ports out from camera
Nice. I personally haven't used this plus I haven't used it with these kind of transmitters so I can't speak on latency or reliability of connection

Is it possible to perform Force Mobile motion control and still control the Zoom motor attached to the gimbal?
Aloha! Do you know if you can run 2 cameras/ transmitters to one receiver? Thanks for your video!
I am not sure to be honest. I don't have 2 transmitters to test
Thanks, I imagine we would need software to split the screen or a switch mechanism
Does this work with their drone camera technology?
Transmitter might be too heavy for certain drones.
how many ipad can connect via wifi?? please answer
An HDMI out would be really great but it´s still crazy for this price
yeah definitely would have been nice to be able to attached camera to transmitter then to monitor
can i use only the transmitter to connect my ipad pro?

So dji advertises 35ms and 100ms over wifi and you measured 200ms? You didn’t measure the latency over hdmi out though.
I measured latency with HDMI out, SDI out and WiFi. The FX6 has both HDMI and SDI outputs which was tested
