I was looking for a transmission system like this about a year and a half ago, but there wasn't one. So I bought the original DJI transmission system. It's expensive and good, but it's too big for my B Cam. I've been using it on A Cam. Now, this little transmission is exactly what I need!
My issue with this system is, there is no seamless way to mount it to your camera. With the original transmission system, you could mount it to a vmount plate with pass through power.

If you were to choose between the Hollyland Pyro S and the DJI SDR, which one would you choose? Clearly it depends a lot on what you are going to use them for, in my case it will be for monitoring.

Thanks Kofi, they look very nice from what they offer. I use dwarf connection which have under 5ms but for most scenarios this is not necessary. So for that price this is great. 👍🏻
I’ve never heard of them before ! I personally didn’t find the latency awful, most of the time if I’m hiring a focus puller, somethings blocked properly, in and out points are set and were fine ! The latency hasn’t bugged me too much (yet) haha
Really hyped for this new system, a much more affordable price point compared to the OG system. Will consider this as an option for my churches wireless livestream gimble setup. Im not an avid anime watcher so this took some searching up and a whole lotta work 😂. This SDR would be really helpful in on set workflow while being lighter than the original transmission! I work with FPV Drones which have pretty good range (using the fx6, same cam at 3:52) so we would still probably use the beefier system for that. But for the smaller jobs with lighter drones and camera/payload this would prove very useful! Distance is longer on the SDR when going through buildings and such (Hollyland I made it across the street from my house, DJI the front end of a small plaza) Also Hollylands Transmitters don't communicate with your RS Gimbal which is a huge plus!
Is it possible to watch multiple transmitters on one iPad (multicam shoot) and switch between them (dji hinted something no clearly on their site) thanx - love your style ;-)

So far the most frustrating short sighted part of these is I can’t run the LiDAR system and use the force motion function at the same time on the rs4…unless I’m missing something. I can’t figure out a connection chain that lets them both communicate with the gimbal.
It still blows my mind that I can fly my DJI Mavic miles away and still get a great video signal, but for some reason, they can't make their ground units transmit as far.
What happened to your DJI Audio at around 5:30? Interference from the video system? With that latency combined with the latency of the wireless focus would render the setup unusable for me...
One of my mics had noise reduction left on which i didnt check lol its definatley not lightning fast! coming from the hollylands which is around the same latency, for MOST things I do, im great, but if i want a teredeck, im renting, cause aint nobody got money for that

I personally didn’t find the latency awful, most of the time if I’m hiring a focus puller, somethings blocked properly, in and out points are set and were fine ! The latency hasn’t bugged me too much (yet) haha
Really hyped for this new system, a much more affordable price point compared to the OG system. Will consider this as an option for my churches wireless livestream gimble setup. Will wait to see what the new Hollyland Pyro 7 bring to the table though, and then make my choice 👌🏻

Im not an avid anime watcher so this took some searching up and a whole lotta work 😂. This SDR would be really helpful in on set workflow while being lighter than the original transmission! I work with FPV Drones which have pretty good range (using the fx6, same cam at 3:52) so we would still probably use the beefier system for that. But for the smaller jobs with lighter drones and camera/payload this would prove very useful! Having any device work as a monitor actually seems quite useful so you don't always have to have the receiver module with you but it'll probably have much worse range.

i desperately need one to make a portable director's monitor kit, and something reliable maybe to rig to my tilta float to run my monitor wirelessly. but they're always so expensive so this is a once i save up enough to purchase, and never want to be forced to replace after the return period is over lol. the float's basically like a steadicam, i'm thinking this would make a great setup hack video.
i was just going to ask about adding extra receivers / devices and looking great so far. any gripes between brodcast mode vs?
On control mode, only works on 2 receivers I believe !

how do you like the sdr compared to the hollyland 4k?
Distance is longer on the SDR when going through buildings and such (Hollyland I made it across the street from my house, DJI the front end of a small plaza) Also Hollylands Transmitters don't communicate with your RS Gimbal which is a huge plus!
Is it possible to watch multiple transmitters on one iPad (multicam shoot) and switch between them (dji hinted something no clearly on their site) thanx - love your style ;-)

So far the most frustrating short sighted part of these is I can’t run the LiDAR system and use the force motion function at the same time on the rs4…unless I’m missing something. I can’t figure out a connection chain that lets them both communicate with the gimbal.

It still blows my mind that I can fly my DJI Mavic miles away and still get a great video signal, but for some reason, they can't make their ground units transmit as far.
Interference I guess is different! Like if I’m in the sky, there’s no other devices, and no walls to penetrate a signal, I’m also guessing

What happened to your DJI Audio at around 5:30? Interference from the video system? With that latency combined with the latency of the wireless focus would render the setup unusable for me...

its definatley not lightning fast! coming from the hollylands which is around the same latency, for MOST things I do, im great, but if i want a teredeck, im renting, cause aint nobody got money for that
