      +360mix I could see it!!

      I could see it too, like charging rent in barbershop...I actually wonder if that would be better. like if they give you 2 options every week, you could do it like it is now, give them 25% of each fare, or pay them a flat rate like $50, and you keep every cent after that. guess it would depend how much you drive/make/uber makes off you now, on whether it is worth it

    they took away our cancellation fee in Dallas

    • @AgentRedShirt
      @AgentRedShirt 8 лет назад

      Know what that means? It means I have 0 incentive to wait the 5 mins at the pickup point. If you aren't at the pin waiting on me when *I* arrive, it's a cancel

    • @bullydogmerimon
      @bullydogmerimon 8 лет назад

      Do that too many times you get kicked off the platform

    • @AgentRedShirt
      @AgentRedShirt 8 лет назад

      +Don Merimon then so be it. Rates are pennies as it is. I'm not waiting around wasting my time when there is no cancellation fee even if I wait and then they cancel on me.

    • @bullydogmerimon
      @bullydogmerimon 8 лет назад

      A friend of mine sent them a email about it. The response was that the fee is still active however in the agreement it clearly shows the cancellation fee to be $0.00. I had to cancel on a no show yesterday and did not get the comp. For it so who ever responded to the email is either mis informed or lying

    • @AgentRedShirt
      @AgentRedShirt 8 лет назад

      +Don Merimon oh and another thing. If you request a ride and then call me and say you are at 'y' instead of 'x', it's an automatic cancel with a 'rider no show'. If you're too dense to set your location correctly I'm not driving all over town to find you.
      Now I know the location can be off a little. But hey, uber wants driverless cars? Fine. I'm a driverless car mindlessly following the app.

    Drivers helped them to get where they are and this is how you repay them by slashing rates? This is not good practice!

    • @dell1972
      @dell1972 8 лет назад +4

      +Dave Conrad Uber is outta control, That why I never refer a new driver to Uber, They think the customers is the main focus, that wrong, it should be the full time driver.

    • @DaveConrad3234
      @DaveConrad3234 8 лет назад +2

      dell1972 I remember when i started about 6 months ago and i could drive for 5 days for about 6 or 7 hours and bring home $700-$800 a week, now you have to damn near don't come home for a week and you still might don't make that! Everybody and their mother drives for Uber and they slashed rates. It's not fun anymore.

    • @TimothyAmos
      @TimothyAmos 8 лет назад +1

      +Dave Conrad Agreed. I used to make that in 3 nights, or aproximity 30 hours? Now rates are down 30% and we have a huge surge in riders at the same time. Personally I think they're related.

    • @dell1972
      @dell1972 8 лет назад +3

      +Dave Conrad uber is going to be like the taxi business, Uber is gonna to fall hard because they are greedy, Uber always recruiting all these drivers and we have more drivers than customers. went to the Uber office in Chicago and told them, they need to stop recruiting all these part time drivers. Right now there's over 18,000 drivers in chicago, the taxi business have only 3000 to 5000 driver.A lot of Uber drivers complaining now saying they not making any money now compare to last year.

      +Dave Conrad It is really sad when you enjoy a job and go out with a good attitude and work ethic, but keep getting undermined by the company. All we want is a decent wage, yet it seems all they do is to try and prevent that.

  • @Gdecorse
    @Gdecorse 8 лет назад +2

    Everybody should try driving for lyft more then I bet that would piss off uber losing more drivers I've been using the lyft app more and I'm already making more money cuz lyft only takes out 20% and the passengers could add on a tip at the end of each trip. Uber needs to stop screwing over there drivers they remind me of how the taxi companies treat there drivers I used to drive part time for a taxi company here and they would do the same stuff

    Uber cut rates in Honolulu, Hawaii also. New rates for UberX - $2 base, $1 per mile, $0.20 per min & $1.20 safe ride fee. Uber XL - $3.85 base, $2.80 per mile, $0.35 per min & $1.20 safe rides fee. UberSELECT - $5 base, $3 per mile, $0.35 & $1.20 safe ride fee. Uber is attempting to compete with Lyft's new low pricing in Hawaii.

    Hay Randy,
    I really enjoy your Uber videos. I wanted to do some research about Uber and went to RUclips. I found your videos and watched Many of them. I have learned a lot about Uber. I was wondering maybe when you had some down time you could make a playlist on your channel of all your Uber videos. I think that would be helpful for other viewers and Uber drivers.
    Thanks for keeping it real. Great job and of course, UBER ON !!
    Rob

    UBerman i got a questionf or you. I want to wire up some subs for the Corolla 2014 car. How can i do this without breaking anything? loool i know nothing about cars. But my dad does, but hes 4 hours away sooo you know. But do you know any good videos for this specific car? tried to look for one. but id ont weant to shell out alot to have someone to do it for me.

    • @AutoAuctionRebuilds
      @AutoAuctionRebuilds  8 лет назад

      +MoneyHard . To do this, you would need an adapter from the factory rear-most speakers to wire in to the high level input on the amp to the subs.

    • @drewscentral5587
      @drewscentral5587 8 лет назад

      +Uber Man is that difficult to acquire an adaptor from the factory for the car?

    Firstly - I read somewhere in the comments that Uber is recruiting too many drivers. They said that they have 18,000 drivers in Chicago. I recently signed up for Task Rabbit and was annoyed that there was going to be a long application process and they would only hire if there was room because they didn't want to have too much 'saturation' in an area, meaning too many taskers. Well, after reading the other comment, now I'm glad that Task Rabbit is screening new taskers. Uber should do that too. Secondly - It's possible that Uber has a reason to cut rates, i.e. commercials cuz it ain't free. Most companies communicate with their employees when money is tight for one reason or another, but because we are contractors then they don't share their long term goals with us. Instead of cutting rates, Uber should add fees for the reasons they need the money, i.e. $1.00 for advertising costs. There are lots of fees Uber eats like paying Jiffy Lube to inspect out cars, the Uber reps at Jiffy Lube to work on the signing up process, stickers for our windshields, administration persons like Uber Support. I was surprised that I didn't have to pay anything. They need to respect the independent contractors by communicating with us before they lose us. Now that I think about it, Uber may have more costs than they were expecting because they are over run with Uber Drivers.

      +Cara Carriere I agree they have overhead. However, they are a $50,000,000,000.00 company. I doubt money is in anyway "tight" for them at the moment.

    • @AutoAuctionRebuilds

      +Jason Burns Some drivers have cornered themselves in to this as their only income. That is a hard place to be.

      Nevada has some of the highest unemployment and cost of living is cheap. Employers see this and use it to their advantage. You can work for Tesla, Amazon, Coke/Pepsi, Uber and a lot of other big names but you won't make more than $12/hr.

      +Uber Man does it not show up on your app? Because I deleted the most recent app and went back 4 versions and it's still on the app. I think they are trying it out in my market. I hate it though. The color shows a possibility of what the surge can be on a scale.
