Took my wife on her first tent camping trip about 10 years back @ Chaco Canyon .. in fact it was tonight (12/27) That night it was -15F and the high was 4F 🤣 That was without anything but wood fire, no heat in the tent for 2 nights.... Married her of course. 😍 It's been a ton of nice hotels since
Just started overlanding and my coldest was 29 degrees. I had my electric blanket plugged in all night. Luckily for my 2 power banks. Appreciate the content. Stay safe out thete6🙏 Godspeed
Great video the views was awesome love how you brought your best friend along and you can see the love when you fix her up when she got hurt …and the coldest I have ever camped in was 73 degrees Brrrrrrr cold 🥶 lol Aloha and Mahalo’s for the video
Happy new year George, keep up the videos There awesome, Georgia used to live in Western California and now I'm in Eastern Idaho last few nights it's been one degrees the year of 2022 winner got down to -25 enjoy the cold weather camping keep up the good videos bud!!
Great video George! Looks a lot colder than my last trip in early December! Love those camp spots you scouted out, especially the one by the creek! Stay safe bud, Happy New Year!
Great video George. You really strike a great balance between the cinematic shots of the areas and the cars, and the more personal stuff, without it being a straight gear review. Really nice job man. Lowest I've camped in my hammock was down to about -4 degrees fahrenheit. Thanks for continually putting out content man.
Great video. I agree about being out in nature. The Native American way is when you are out in nature you are with the Creator and Mother Earth and all my Relatives
George that was an awesome camp cite oh by the way never get tired of seeing your family but that would have been too cold the eastern Sierra's are beautiful
Had gotten down to 2 degrees so far this winter. Had a planar 2kw heater going and kept the cab around 45 degrees. Still some improvements to be made for my set up. Beautiful views on your trip!
I definitely I have to add insulation to the bed of the truck to help with retaining heat. Diesel heaters are a great option for sure, I think they run better in cold temperatures.
I had just been looking at different pop up campers and I had seen that Super pacific had an insulation kit. Not sure if aluminum-cab makes one though. I really have enjoyed the Planar heater because I can run kerosene. I tend to camp at 8k+ in elevation, so the kerosene option has been great.
Great video,George! You don’t carry dehydrated backpacking food for an emergency like in the case that your boys don’t show up?Also what is your EDC setup while out in the field?
Nice rig. Gotta pee? Get horse stall pellets, put in small bag inside empty paint can or something with screw top lid. Pellets will absorb the moisture and odor. Tie off bag and pitch in morning😉 This way you can stay inside. I definitely preheat my tent😆

Amazing Video! Subscribing!
Great video. Where did you buy that heater in your truck?
Did you use the heater all night? If so how propane did it use up?
If it's cold out gotta be ready for toasty night's. I camped below freezing and negative sleeping bad did the job, plain blankets will not work

Fishing pole my guy, leave all the other fancy clothes etc and connect with nature and disconnect from your apartment.
