Had a go at this after watching your video - turned out not badly for a first attempt! Your instructions and presentation were very easy to follow, and it's a neat project to have a go at. Keep up the good work
Awesome! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I don't know of any classes for lampwork, so I learn from watching on RUclips, and I can't wait to try this. I have a hothead and use mapp, and it works great for learning. A project like this can take almost the whole can. I need to check into buying a tank. Keep sharing your talent, I really appreciate it.
I am so happy I found your videos! They are wonderful and I too am learning on my own from whatever I can find on RUclips or LE. Thank you so much!! Your videos are so well done and I'm learning lots. Gaby
Thank you for this wonderful video. I have been wanting to make a really neat heart for a friend and I have found it. You did a wonderful job and I really enjoyed it. Going to look at your other videos now.
Great tutorial! When I make hearts I sometimes cut the humps instead of pushing them down, it makes for an interesting pattern for something different. Again, thanks for a great video.
@dleighdesigns Thanks so much!!! It is so wonderful to hear such a great compliment. But, yes - - there is SO much to learn with glass. I would love to step more into sculpture and also doing boro - - blowing tubes to make cool goblets, glasses, small vases, oil lamps, etc. - - but all on a torch (not the big blowing stuff). I hope, one day!
a background to the heart may be interesting, possibly with dichro ribbon & black (I use tuxedo, great for backgrounds, very dark transparent & great price). might try it myself
Great video! One tip: there's no reason to work right in front of the torch face, the gases don't fully combust there, so it's not as hot and can cause buildup on the front of your torch. Better to work 3 inches or more out into the flame.
@vicki73160 - - haha! I remember my old hothead days! I hope it doesn't take you a whole can!! You can try to make smaller hearts just to shorten the melt time. You can also leave these as teardrops or flattened teardrops instead of shaping into hearts to save some time also. I will keep trying to come up with new and different tutorial ideas, but might need a new camera (mine is screwing up). Any suggestions are also appreciated! Thanks!
I see this is a pretty old video but I would be so so happy if you could tell what glass you used for the pinkish heart on the right bottom at the end of the video.

@dleighdesigns You are so welcome! I know I am in the same boat - I would love to take some additional classes, too.

I believe (if I remember right), that the heart there was made using silver glass - - and I think it was Double Helix Echo.
Are these pendants small enough for bracelet charms?
This one would be a fairly large bracelet charm - - but they could be made smaller.
