E11/E22 error, Alliance fitness Thread mill repair

E11/E22 error code: Belt Motor Error on Alliance fitness Thread mill repair. Unit would stop 10-20 after motor running. Troubleshot and found faulty optical encoder, replaced it. DONE!! Tested - Now it is workin like a charm.

The optical sensor is the easiest, most likely thing to check. It rides between the fan and body of electric motor. On mine, there was a buildup of hair and dust that was obstructing the optical sensor a little. Motor would start then shut off after a minute or two. After cleaning it, problem solved.

This worked for me. I found a huge dust build up on the optical sensor and when I cleaned it the treadmill worked, back to normal. Saved me a repair bill or a whole treadmill replacement

after cleaning and blowing out the builtup dust, it work well.recommend once a year clean up all the dust.

It's been awhile. If i recalled correctly, I searched for Speed Sensor/ optical sensor for treadmill and match size, number of connector prongs. Hope this helps. Stay safe and enjoy your day.
