- Today, we're taking a look at this year's Marvel Advent Calendar! This year it's Spider-Man themed! This set will be releasing on September 1st for $44.99 USD or $59.99 CAD!

How The Green Goblin Stole Christmas 😂
Ooh good one! I mean, the guy wanted a Santa Claus version of Green Goblin. Venom doesn't wear a sweater because he's a symbiote, and symbiote are made of slime. But the spider ham snowman is a good choice, and miles morales with a green sweater and green headphones to listen to music on his mp3 player was also a good choice, and so is a wind-up rhino toy. So what do I intend to build with these things you may ask? I am gonna use the extra parts from Rhino, Venom, and Miles to finish the french robot I have been working on, then dj maximus, and I am gonna put an extra sausage in the trash can from Brooklyn I have finished, and for the spider ham. I am gonna use his head for a ghost version of Spider Ham. Tho, I don't know if it counts as a creepy pasta, but we shall see in the future. And you saw Dr. Crayfish try to turn Spider Ham into a pig roast that involves honey glazering him, so I guess I made a ghost version of Spider Ham to reference Dr. Crayfish succeeding in honey glazering spider ham for pig roasting, and I guess it counts as a creepy pasta in the future. Heck, it even would've been a great Halloween special in Spiderman into the spider verse. So that's all I have I mind.
I used the mighty micros green goblin head and a Santa Claus hat and torso to make my own Grinch minifigure. You should try it if you have it, because it's the only way we're going to get the Grinch as a minifigure.
@logantrimble006, good idea. Since rhino got his own wind-up toy, I am gonna make a wind-up optimus primal from transformers beast wars.
Did Lego accidentally make a few hundred million more of those 4-5 minifigures, cause the repeating is past excessive by now.
I really hope the rumoured miles vs spot set next year doesn’t reuse the miles and Gwen…

X-men ftw. We need more sets for them. They're highly marketable, especially after the success of X-men 97.
I think the original 2021 is the best, good minifig selection and many good mini-builds. Maybe Marvel has too few iconic locations and vehicles, compared to Star Wars. But an X-Men calendar could be good for switching things up, I agree...

Spider-man can be great but the lego sets are just lame and usally only include Spiderman and his villians instead of spideys suporting cast

Ah- good old Lego Advent Calendars, where Lego wants us to pay double price for $25 worth of recycled minifigs. xD
At least they usually go on sale for about $20. The only time when they're worth getting.
Except for the time the star wars on would having mini figures that where being sold for 10x
I like the new miles, and some of the street signs are cool ideas, but the rest of the figs are shocking. I don't mind a normal Peter, since we've already had Christmas versions, but a Christmas Gwen instead of the standard version would've been nice. I also agree the Spider-Ham is ok, but only the head is interesting, and pretty restricted to only be on a snowman. Making Green Goblin match the glider/sleigh would've made this so much more worthwhile, even if it was just the cap/ear peice that was unique colours, maybe use red legs like Santa? A festive torso would be nice, but there should definitely be something. They could even just have done standard Santa with green hands and the head as it is
I love that each item references a set or a villain from the spiderman series

Edit: Still hoping to get this. Green Goblin with the added benevolence from being a Santa homage would make a great Harry. Between that and Gwen’s drums, this advent calendar truly _adds_ to a collection.
i really wish this set came with figures that weren't really common
obviously the sweater prints are great but everyone else was so prevalent this year
i also kinda wish the modules and builds had some way to connect like last year's did, but i do enjoy how much of this is minifigure scaled
I like that marvel has an advent calendar(maybe they should flip flop with dc each year), but I think they need more interesting exclusive minifigures. Maybe one Christmas one and another new character!

Honestly they could have repainted goblins costume to be red and white and make him like Santa his costume is perfect for it with the pointy hat and it would have elevated this set even something as simple as that.
Or even a mysterio figure with a printed snow globe head something like that

Y’know, these sets are not often a desirable get for older builders, especially in terms of exclusives - which I get, those things are expensive. But like…one traditional MJ or Gwen Stacy with the unique torso print would certainly solve that for *me*. We’ve gotten one whole traditional MJ ever, and it’s not like she needs super unique prints or molds - just a redhead in a winter coat. Same for Gwen, whose iconic outfit already features a coat!
There seems to be not much new or good with this advent Calendar. Usually there are great sweaters, exclusive figures, etc. This year only a white variant Spider-Ham head, banana peel, and a so so sweater. With that minimal amount of stuff I might as well buy the stuff I want from Brick Links.

I’m not impressed with this year calendar set. So disappointed
At one point I said I would get every Green Goblin fig that comes out.. but not anymore. They literally won't stop. And 90% of them look almost identical
This one is a repeat, anyway...
It would be so much better if Goblin was in Red instead of the usual purple. they already recolored the Spider-Ham head piece, they could have done Goblin's hat instead.
Maybe the electro tree is hinting at a comic version of electro coming soon, I hope so!

The X-Men were a couple of times in the 90's cartoon of spiderman so why doesn't it make sense?
This advent calendar is definitely saved by the builds. I wish more of the minifigures were Christmasy like a Santa Green Goblin

That set is not yet retired and is still in production.
I guess it looks alright set up like in the end, although some of the builds are a bit of head-scratchers. One more minifigure and one more christmas sweater would go a long way, though. Considering the pricing, it seems the stuff you actually get feels rather cheap. Hopefully there'll be an X-Men calendar next year, or at least something other than Spider-Man or Avengers to switch things up...

The OG version of that Goblin fig is superior because it has leg and toe printing 😈😤, Shame this one doesn’t

It would be better with four minifigs with special torso, but they don’t do that this yr
The "effect" pieces being their own day is getting really annoying, what with Iron Man's power pieces from 2021 or Spider-Man's golden webs from last year, it just makes the calendar feel a bit cheap

A Spider-man Lego advent calendar did sound promising in the leaks but this is just dissapointing, only good minifigure is Spider-man in a Christmas sweater but the blank legs do him no favours, builds are just meh and there was potential for something. Electro, Demogoblin, Kraven The Hunter, The Wall, The Bettle could have been cool minifigures to give away alongsides printed pieces that look like their comicbook first apperances, but no it's just reused minifigures and builds with a weird scale.

This one feels so lack luster compared to last years. Usually every advent calendar comes with2 sweater figs so this is kinda disapointing.
This is pretty lame for a Christmas set but I do like how I can add almost all of it to my lego marvel city (it’s like 2 buildings lol)

A complete letdown, man I disliked last year’s Marvel advent calendar, but this had made me miss the last year’s advent calendar, last year we got surprise figures like Dr Strange and Wong, a time stone even, here we got nothing! Like, dude, put a Sandman in there, haven’t gotten any Sandman minifigure since 2021, a Mysterio figure’d be cool as well, I don’t ask for exclusive ones like a classic Electro, but bro, give Spider-Man and Gwen ugly sweaters, only Miles got one. Put better figures, these figures are just basic ones that are everywhere.

This is one of the worst Lego Advent Calendar ever. I don't understand why they didn't include Minifig like Peter, Miles, May or even MJ, in winter outfit, like a Christmas party in Peter's apartment. It would be so much better than an electro tree or a scarfed Venom.
The only good thing about this is Miles…
Even giving us a generic Santa torso for green goblin would be a lazy fix, but still better than this
