You need to stop doing this Bill! I'm reliving my youth. Delivered papers to Woodway House and I too remember the Knig Cnut day. I'm almost convinced my sisters are in that pic but I'm struggling to date it. I have a feeling the whale bones were connected to Pike Ward who, not only is part of Teignmouths ship brokers but had a very historic role in Icelandic fishing late 1800's.
Glad you are enjoying - I date the beach pic between 1974 & 1976 - Because the shelters behind him, were demolished in late 76 for the Seawall to be built, and pre 1974, I doubt I would have remembered it! I would have been to young.... Yes, I believe you are correct attributing the Whalebones to Pike Ward 👍
@@BillsPhoneTeignmouth That date is bang on what I thought. The more I look the more convinced I am that my Sisters and I are actually in that photo. I've sent it to my sister to see what she thinks. Thanks as always Bill and keep up the fantastic work :)

Excellent! I vaguely can remember my dad taking me along when it was being demolished, but that's about my only experience of it 👍👍👍
