More great information. Thanks so much. I have added new ideas for the farmer's market cards. I like how clear bags will assist on sizes for the odd size cards and other items you create. Thanks again.
@@JessikateCreates I just re-watched the packaging video (after viewing your last Market video, which was also a great help!). I have always ordered the bags from Clear Bags, but placed an order for the boxes based on your video. I never thought about mini cards, or mini card sets - so I'm anxious to make some. I have two markets coming up in January and I'm booked for every Sunday in February at a local winery. I will be tuning in and following for ALL your techniques and tips!! Happy New Year!
@joanhansen2190 when I tested the sets earlier this year, I was nervous, but it went well. Wishing you friendly customers and amazing sales at your upcoming shows!!
Funny you mentioned making customers source their own envelopes, I totally did that but it was a total accident that I didn’t realize until the event had ended. I had a friend that offered to sell my cards at her craft table, so I agreed. Unfortunately I was also at the deadline of turning in a 40 page paper before graduation. That left me assembling my cards in the wee hours of the morning and I was delirious, packaged them and added the price but forgot to add the envelopes. Yikes! 😳😬😱 that was over 13 yrs ago and it still haunts me.
Oof, I bet that was stressful! But hey, we all make mistakes, right?! 3 or 4 years ago, I sold a card set at a show that I had made at 0 dark thirty the night before. Like you, I'm pretty sure I forgot the envelopes in that one set. It bothered me for the longest time. But it made sure I always check for envelopes now (and take a few extras to shows just in case). Happy crafting during daylight hours, my friend!🤣💛
No, sorry. I just kind of played around and tried different things out until I designed something I liked. Especially since I wasn't picky about the size. But canva is fairly user friendly. Good luck!💛
I started out paper crafting making cards (still make them) I LOVE making “mini” cards however I had to label them as note cards and let buyers know if mailing them you need to place them in a larger size envelope (mine where 3.0 x 3.0/ 3.5 x 3.5 but this is not a mailable size and USPS will return them ( I had some i personally sent out returned) so I sell my note cards individually and tell people they can give with a gift.
Yes, that is a great point I should have mentioned in the video! I always let shoppers know they are too small to post in the mail as is. But they are great for little notes to friends or coworkers. I really need to add that to my signage. Thanks for this comment!! Happy crafting! 💛
I'm from Canada but I also buy from Crystal Clear Bags but from Canada. I put my a7 cards in card jackets & code for it CJA7 (but that might be Canadian only). My customers can see the inside of the card but it stays clean. When I sell the card at a market, I remove the jacket & reuse it again so it doesn't end up in the landfill. It also saves me $$ because I reuse the jackets many times. Hope you find this helpful. Jackets are 7.⁷/¹⁶" x10½" in size.
Oh great question. Yes, I do. To me, it just adds a nice touch, keeps the cards safe in transit, and shows how much I care for the quality of the cards. Tfw!!💛
I am new to your channel. You may have answered this before, but what is the purpose of the sheet you place in the envelope? Liked and subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to the channel!! The paper is to protect the card when it goes through the mail, especially if I have gems or other embellishments on the card. So the card can arrive to the recipient unscathed. I talked about it in more detail in the first video on how to package handmade cards. Hope that helps!💛
Question… I don’t believe mini cards can be mailed USPS. I’m presuming they are used as gift enclosure cards. Do you find there to be a good “market” for them? Any other comments you have for their use and popularity? I sure appreciate your videos - and your professionalism! 🫶🫶
That's correct. They are too small to mail, which I always let customers know. But if you are giving them with a gift, or a package, or just a small note to a coworker or friend, they work well for that. They do well for me at shows. Tfw!💛

You create the best content videos for card makers and craft market selling. Thank you for the time and thought you put into helping all of us!
You are so sweet, thank you! I'm really glad you find them helpful! Tfw! 💛

I suggest Hemingway, the Herringbone Owl for your critter. 😆
Ah, that's adorable! Thanks for the name suggestion. Tfw!!🦉💛

This is so very helpful. I use Clearbags too but finding the right is sometimes daunting especially with the boxes.
It’s tough to find the right sizes sometimes, so I’m glad this helps. 😊💛
Do you have a video on how to create your little information sheet on Canva?
No, sorry. I just kind of played around and tried different things out until I designed something I liked. Especially since I wasn't picky about the size. But canva is fairly user friendly. Good luck!💛

Thanks for sharing! I've heard a folks say they like the the jackets. Thanks for the tips.💛
Thank you. I need mini slim line bags and some other sizes. Merry Christmas
I hope you find the perfect sized sleeves for your projects. Merry Christmas!!💛🎄
Do you put the piece that protects the card in the envelope for the card sets?
Oh great question. Yes, I do. To me, it just adds a nice touch, keeps the cards safe in transit, and shows how much I care for the quality of the cards. Tfw!!💛

Thanks for sharing do you use tracking number to mail your cards?
For cards to customers, yes always. For cards to friends and family I usually don't buy shipping unless it's a super important card. Hope that helps!💛
