The M-193 was originally designed by Remington for a military contract in the early 60s. They were the first to mass produce the 223 for hunting. So to save money they took the 55 gr spire point and basically put the jacket on backwards. I know this because I called Remington for a research project for my boss. So it's a varmint bullet with thin jacket soft lead so when it starts to tumble it breaks and flies apart in a semi liquid target.
Twist and barrel length is on point, 62 gr will maintain same fps at that distance, and is just heavier enough to punch through that light body protection with one round. green tip any gr lights out !
The only weapon I have experience with that could easily do that is the MP5 on full auto at close range. However weaker level 3 plates are than level 4 I'm pretty sure they're more than adequate against 9mm.
Good luck wearing this body armor against dm91 9mm armor piercing. Dayton armor can stop a 50bmg and is light. Whats the point having a level 3+ armor?
The videos i was talking about dm91 9mm here ruclips.net/video/3l3kvxXP_yM/видео.htmlfeature=shared and the dayton 50 bmg spanky armor ruclips.net/video/TGEBN1LrfpU/видео.htmlfeature=shared

I would have liked to see them shoot near the edges of that plate, within one inch. I am HIGHLY skeptical of Paladins claims that their plates are made in California. These plate have all of the hallmarks of cheap Chinese ballistic plates. Bold "Strike Face" on front of plate, Very noticeable 1 inch border that is not ceramic armor. These plates are almost always not edge to edge ballistic protection.

Force=Mass x Acceleration. Then there is PSI. Get a bullet of the same weight and speed, but smaller diameter and see what happens. By shrinking the diameter you increase the PSI that the round is producing on the plate. That sounds like fun.
What ceramic plates are you fellas running where those are twices as heavy? My 3+ and 4 are .4 pounds different per plate, and yes 4 offers more protection, but it is ceramic, its not as durable, meaning you have to be far more careful with it. I own the equipment, I too want the best bang for my buck! And I truly feel that level 3+ is it. If i was going to war, I would run level 4 because someone else is paying for it
Better than expected for level lllA which are hand held cartridge's, pretty sure these plates are from the RED side of the planet. The barrel length test from two years ago , refered too many times. Thanks Guy's
Omg some ofe these comments about different types of threats that can defeat it makes me laugh cuz I could do the same saying good luck wearing this oate against 105 artillery lol but honestly for what it's designed for it seems do do a great job besides if you're absorbing that many bullets you should probably move
What do you guys think about a felon forgiveness program for the military. Like I'm a felon for a concealed knife. And most recently a concealed pistol. No actual violence. I just had them on me and ran away from the police. I really regret not joining the military. I'd literally give my right testicle to have that opportunity.
Guys, don't take this video as the proof that a NIJ III plate can stop any 5.56. M855 and M855A1 can probably punch straight through these plates in one shot.
I love watching these guys play around at the range. If anybody is qualified to have fun with dangerous stuff- it's these guys.

Coch and Dorr the dynamic duo 😂
dassumb duo
🤠🤠🤠
For comparison, put 5 M855 through the bottom part of the same plate. That could be interesting for viwerers, including me
You ought to see what these 110gr v max and varmageddons do to a guardrail beam goin 3400fps…24” fn spr heavy .308. Love it
Love watching you guys.

green tip any gr lights out !
Is that the best Coch can do, 2” groups? 😂 j/k keep up the good, fun content guys!
I have level 3 plates. I'm not going to stand there long enough to get shot 5 times in the exact same spot.

If you’re getting shot 5 times in the same spot.
You’re doing something wrong.
you guys should do a post mortem on that plate and show how the medium held up.
Take the same plate and hit it with green tip from the 20".
The buldge on the back of the plate would be a significant punch to the rib cage. It may be strong enough stop the heart.
Do ss109 green tip next time
what would be great to see is ballistics gel test at 100 , 200 yds with different barrel lengths
What is the best armor to get for everyday civilian use?
Condoms😉😆
Science
Chances are nobody going to hit you 5x times in a 1" grid
Coch just called me a nerd! Damn😐
I want to see if it stops m855 green tip. Shoot the lower half of that same plate with green tip.
Of course it will be stopped, it’s slower and one of the worse rounds
THE CD crew!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
"Bulge is getting bigger!"
You had my curiosity you now have my...
This was anything but a scientific test.
Awesome content fam🤙🏽🙏🏽🧂🧂🧂

Maybe because most rounds wont be coming with 50bmg?
Lower cost than level 4?

Coch is pretty ripped for being an OG😁
I luv coch & dorr

What is the best armor you guys recommend?

Coch, is that an UTG handgaurd and iron sights?
Do a pistol video and try G9 EHP.

Not bad, like coch said" worst case scenario "
2 today...I like it. :)
The 16 inch did better against paper but the 20 inch would have done better against the plate.
dig that cap man great show dont stop click click buzz

Yes🤙
Coch's hawaiian tiger stripe loafers 🤨
I wanna see some same whole action from you too bad boys
I’ll stick to my lvl 4

Not a science hippie lol. But I can say from hunting speed kills

my experience is after 5 "shots" if you don't have full "penetration", better find a different woman. I mean ceramic plate.
Just being honest, most people carrying that caliber are stocking up and will most likely be using the M855 green tip's
Are you a lizard?
