    I usually go for Sterling Silver or Surgical Steel earrings by this point. I've gotten some of the "fashion" ones from Hot Topic and they don't bother my ears too bad, unless the piercing is brand new and I just changed it. But I prefer going online for good earrings.

      Same for me! Had it happen 3 times my earlobes got pierced. The digging and scratching felt good though bc I was allergic too.. She finally gave up and let them heal. I got them redone as a teen with 14K and it was fine then. Had to do new holes, as my last ones were uneven.

    • @nikkipieronek271
      @nikkipieronek271 4 года назад +2

      @@sunghoonkisser that sucks! You did right by removing it and letting it heal. Mightve been easier to go to a tattoo shop and have them dig it out though. Whatd you pierce it with after? I had already learned from a cheap jewelry store piercer that did my lobes several times as a kid at my mom's request what couldn't be used vs what worked later as a teen (14k gold) and also at 26 for a naval peircing (surgical steel). I was just getting into wearing gold and preferring silver less and less... especially knowing I could be chancing an allergic reaction with brand new jewelry I bought myself or got as a gift.

    I can wear sterling but I have to make sure that the solder they use to attach posts is safe too. I've reacted to sterling before for this reason. Sterling hoops with no solder joints don't bother me. Titanium and steel are good for me too. I can't wear cheap fashion earrings. They will start to itch within an hour.

    Only *plastic* works for me - I got my ears pierced with titanium & was allergic - I haven't found any metals at all that don't cause swelling... Some just more than others (eg. Sterling silver I can cope with for like an hour or 2, before swelling starts to happen) - I've found my best bet is "invisible earring converters" if I want to wear earrings that have metals my body doesn't like 🌻 Or magnetic studs on the rare occasion I don't want my pretty earrings :-p
    Hope this helps fellow sensitive folk 🌹🌈

    I can only wear 14k gold but I like fashion earrings for special events sometimes and then take them out as soon as I get home. They get a little itchy and sore sometimes if I leave them in all day, but it’s nothing serious. As soon as I put the 14k back in they’re good.

    my starter earring for my conch is the surgical steele. i did not know it had nickel in it! i am very allergic to nickel. i played the clarinet in middle and high school and the keys on a clarinet are normally nickel. I had to get a clarinet with silver keys or else my hands got itchy. that explains why my ear is swollen, red, and sensitive. i’ve had this for over a month. i probably need to change it out lol.

    I’m allergic to most metals - I normally stick to surgical/stainless steel, I can also wear pure silver/gold, but I wore a gold plated earring before and it messed my ear up. I’ve worn an earring where the post was ok but the ball on the end wasn’t and I reacted to that too. Kinda sucks bc 1) it’s caused me to have to take out piercings because it got so bad and 2) I have cool ass earrings which I made sure were stainless steel but they were also cheap from amazon so I’m too worried to try them out

    You didn't mention platinum. It's expensive, but most people can handle it. If someone's out of options, they can try that. I can only handle 14 karat gold or platinum. I'm very allergic to titanium.

    • @Shopluluave
      @Shopluluave  4 года назад

      interesting titanium is hypoallergenic and nickel free are you sure its not an irritation cause by sleeping, getting it pulled or yanked on? We would recommend seeing your doctor to get an allergy test to know exactly if you are allergic.

    • @JesusIsMySaviorCatsMyTherapy
      @JesusIsMySaviorCatsMyTherapy 4 года назад

      @@Shopluluave No, I have an actual allergy to the titanium metal itself. They said that that most aren't allergic to it or get the worst allergic reaction you can get to it like I did, but they said it can happen. So I just have to avoid titanium for even medical procedures. I just have an irritation to nickel. Once a piercing has been healed up for a few years or more, I can use earrings with some nickel in it.

Then they started itching and red bumps around the piercing holes have now popped up. Also my lobes are often big, swollen and warm. Soooooo story time! I had my ears done in a mall when I was 5 (my piercings are crooked now) plus on top of that my ears will straight up itch and then bleed if it has a lick of nickel in it. Surgical steel? Nope. Hyper allergenic surgical that says nickel free that’s 20? Nope. I’ve had gold plated that somehow had nickel in it... nope my ears are all nah then yup bleed. It’s not even just swelling fortunately titanium works, rose gold works. I lucked out on rose gold because here’s the crazier part. It’s other jewelry too, necklaces my skin and wrists rash up if it has nickel, almost as if I have hives =_=“”” what’s even sadder is because of this severity to nickel my crooked piercings are closed up everyone gets shocked when they hear I have pierced ears. :/ This nickel allergy is no joke.
