    A Memorable Air Travel Experience
One sunny morning, Tom was excited because he was going to fly for the first time. He was traveling from London to Paris for a short vacation. His flight was scheduled for 9:30 a.m., so he arrived at the airport two hours early.
At the check-in counter, Tom showed his passport and gave his suitcase to the airline staff. They weighed his luggage and gave him a boarding pass. “Your gate is B12,” the staff member said with a smile.
Next, Tom went through security. He placed his bag on the conveyor belt and walked through the metal detector. The security officer checked his bag and found a bottle of water. “You can’t take this on the plane,” the officer explained. Tom felt embarrassed but thanked the officer and continued to the departure lounge.
While waiting at the gate, he watched the planes outside the large windows. The announcement came: “Flight 345 to Paris is now boarding.” Tom quickly lined up with other passengers and showed his boarding pass to the attendant.
Once on the plane, Tom found his seat near the window. He fastened his seatbelt and listened to the flight attendant explain the safety instructions. The plane started to move toward the runway, and soon they were taking off. Tom felt his stomach drop as the plane lifted into the sky.
During the flight, Tom enjoyed a small snack and some juice. He looked out the window and saw the clouds below. “It’s like flying over cotton candy,” he thought.
After about an hour, the captain announced that they would soon be landing. Tom felt the plane descend, and his ears popped. When the plane touched down smoothly, everyone applauded.
At the baggage claim, Tom waited for his suitcase. It finally appeared, and he grabbed it with relief. His first flight was over, and it had been a wonderful experience.
Tom smiled as he walked out of the airport. “I can’t wait to fly again,” he said to himself.
