- When Morathi-Khaine ascended to godhood, all in the mortal realms took note. Claiming the power granted to her by the worshippers of Khaine, Morathi has set her own plans in motion. When the Seraphon realize they may have been fooled by the High Oracle of Khaine, the slann starmasters summon an army of Dracothian’s finest warriors to confront her. Will the Matriarch of Khaine finally have her plans revealed? Or might the power of the Old Ones not be enough to face this newly ascended God.

Heh, "the slann miscasts, rerolls and miscasts". Last game I had, finally got Kroak lined up to unleash the Celestial Deliverance trio and miscast on the first one. So hurtful!

Very interesting game. I agree with Ridge - Seraphon played far too aggressively on turn 1 and basically threw away both units of salamanders. But I understand his mindset - anytime you see those Bow Snakes, the impulse is to try and kill them immediately. It would have been better to put the early wounds on Morathi, I feel like that is what really determined the game - she lived far longer than she should have and was hugely impactful in later rounds. Keep the competitive games and playful banter coming!!
Couldn't agree more. I thought for sure I would have done the three wounds multiple times but Oliver was making some great 6ups wards and I couldn't get more onto her.

I think you guys should have played the 5th turn, because Dok player grand strategy (hold the line) maybe could not be achieved which is 3VP, maybe with spells, combat and battleshock dok snakes could run away and therefore not score 3 VP from grand strategy. Seraphon one was already garanteed.

Nice game! At the top of 3, I think the Seraphon player could've done something interesting with not burning the objectives. Since the Lords of Space and time ability always give you the upper hand for board control. The daughters were also low on models by this point, which would've forced some disadvantageous decisions. Anyway, just a thought there. Loved the game! Also love this style of batrep guys. As a full time teacher I can appreciate the 50 minute mark.

An exciting report, as always! It seems to me that I have found a mistake. In the first DoKs turn Blood Stalkers received both Rally and Worship Through Bloodsheed commands. However, according to the rules, a unit can only receive one order command one phase. In this case, it did not affect the course of the battle in any way. Still a great battle!
You are absolutely right! Thankful Oliver couldn't roll any 6's for the first few attempts at Rally haha.

Nowadays, it is difficult to travel to other countries due to pandemic restrictions (as far as I know, the Canadian national team refused to participate in the World Cup for the same reason as my team). Therefore, TTS remains an important way to play with people from all over the world
@@philippkartaev73 No I wasn't in the latest TTS tournament, but I wanted to play in it, just too busy with other things. I talked to Trogdor about it, and may join the next one!
Yeah, we really wanted to go to Milan as well, but were very unsure about everything going on with Covid, there's always next year ;)

Misstake turn 2 of seraphon : no cohesion when you create your unit if 10 skinks.

Awesome as always to see some Seraphon action. @ridge Why the Dracothions Tail over Fangs here. Don't you think Fangs does most things Dracothion does but with bonus parting shot?
Dracothian allows for an INSANE amount of output in 1 turn by deepstriking both Salamanders and teleporting the skinks. Sadly in this case, to make 1 unit of Sallies a predator i needed to have them on the board. AAAAAND I was -1 for shooting army wide, which hurt as well, and on top of all that I rolled very poorly early on...
Fangs is still amazing for positioning and having the Unleash Hell/Parting shot all at once and the +3 move T1 is amazing, but not as much output right away

Metamorphosis on the Starseer in turn 4 could've been a good play I think. :)
But then I wouldn't have killed Morathi!!! I needed to do the Arcane Bolt and unleash it in combat for the d3.. and then roll a 3+ and Oliver not make any 6's which all happened lol
Maybe! I was thinking the Slann could've done the Arcane Bolt and supported down there instead though, probably only with 1MW with range though, but with Finest Hour and Titanic Duel the Starseer might've been able to do the final wound. Or it could've charged Morathi-Khaine and stomped her for the D3 MW there instead!
However I think with how the priority went the turn after it probably didn't matter much, but it'd been a neat move to set up for an even more tense last turn. :)
(But maybe slaying Morathi-Khaine with a monster and thus slaying the Shadow Queen wouldn't get you the extra point for scoring your battle tactic with a monster? I'm not sure how that interaction works :D )

Great game! I main seraphon yet I’ve never used the starseer and feel that a huge mistake on my part. That 3d6 charge seems to good to not take. Gonna get one to squeeze into my lists!
Especially in 3 when Redeploy is a thing. Also just amazing with the Deep Strike/Teleport.

Enjoyable bat rep as usual. Can't rally the bow snakes and shoot in the hero phase in the same player turn though. Two command abilities on the same unit.

No Astrolith is a bold move! I feel like they're nearly auto-include, especially in starborne where we get the additional celestial conjuration points. Idk how I feel about the steg chief. Have you played this list much? I'm curious about your general thoughts

My main Draco list doesn't include the Steggy, so yeah just trying him out but with his CA for the skinks as well in melee, can be crazy. And he can slap some battleline units and also be somewhat tanky. Obvi he is much much better in Thunder Lizards, but yeah.
I agree with the Astrolith comment, but the slann is pretty much there for Comet, and some unbinding. With Kroak, Astrolith always has to be there. I think there is a case for both. I feel like you go all in with all the magic stuff, or just include the Slann solo because of the points.

One question though in (I believe round 2 or 3) Oliver mentioned leaving the wrong model after removing the wounded causing some coherency issues, what was the exact issue (it was a bit hard to follow)?
I piled in the model that had previously taken 1 would into the middle of the unit. In combat it took a wound and because I had to allocate to models that had already been allocated would he died which broke coherency
@@ocdempsey He Oliver thanks for clarifying this, had not really considered this would be an issue but it makes choosing which model takes a wound (for multi wound units) a lot more interesting...

Yeah it's a Typo - The Slann had the Godbeast Pendant not the Blade of Realities...

We usually don't, although tournaments here do so it is a good habit to get into. It also adds to the game in a few ways. Jordan can maybe add more to it but I think it's just because we don't want to take the time, and 90% of the time they are useless anyways or forgotten.
Was hard following, and I might have missed something. But I'm wondering how the Daughters had so many CPs while going first a lot? Could have sworn that turn 3 or 4, it was said heroic leadership was failed, but he still had 2 points in top of turn, after using all of his CP during his turn. Am I missing something? :)

You get a CP for having a general still alive on the battlefield and 1 CP for your turn.
