Clam chowder ?? Made with shrimp, lobster, fish ,scallops?? Hmmmm .... Sounds like what we call Seafood Chowder in Maine !! The hot Hamburg sandwich looked good. I may go just for it. .... and to get a Moose t-shirt !! Thx.
Thanks for the latest video. My wife and I especially like the Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI videos. Our first big road trip after I retire is to spend a month in Maritimes next fall. We have gotten so many great ideas on areas to focus and places to eat/stay. We even booked the Airbnb converted church in Stewiake. Keep the video coming. I plan to go back through your videos before the trip and pull out the names of the wonderful places you have eaten. Stay safe.
That's great to hear, Carlton! That'll be a fun way to celebrate your retirement. There are so many great places to explore around the Maritimes - it'll be a great adventure, no doubt!
HI Sam and Audrey, so nice to see you guys doing more video. Harriet and I never got to step foot in Cape Breton. We spent much of time in Halifax sailing with friends. Cape Breton is on our bucket list. You are always a wealth of information. That's what makes you the best at what you do. Sending you much love 😍😍😍 Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.
It's nice to hear you got to enjoy a bit of Halifax and do some sailing! There's just so much to do in Nova Scotia and you're never too far from the ocean. Wishing you both a lovely weekend! 😊
Wow. "New Scotland". Loved the Vid. Sooo much good Seafood. Loved that Sam enjoyed his "Fish Supper" as we call it here in Scotland but also that Audrey got transported back to Childhood. A beautiful part of the World. Keep them coming guys x
It does remind us quite a bit of Scotland. Especially the Cape Breton Highlands which we visited on another trip! There are some incredible landscapes plus the hospitality is just great everywhere on the island. 😊
Hi Guys!! 😁😁😂, aquí estamos otra vez, apoyando con 👍🏻 y compartiendo el video. Vamos a recorrer yuhuuuuuu!!!. Como siempre, somos Plinio, Luisa y Plinio Jr. from Talcahuano Harbor, Chile! 🇨🇱
Beautiful food and people! Love this video. I live in North Sydney, Cape Breton. Never been to any of these restaurants yet, so enlightening. Maybe this summer a road trip will take place. Glad you missed the worse of Fiona. I watched your other video as well. Take care.
Very nice video BTW. Having grown up in the Maritimes I can tell you that Clam chowder has clams & vegetables in it. What you were eating was Seafood chowder which is made of shellfish & other fish etc. Sacrilege to an East coaster Audrey!🤣
So nice to see some of our favourite places here in Cape Breton and some off the beaten track spots too. Must do the St. Peter's Canal trip next summer. Glad you survived Fiona unscathed. Since you keep coming back to Nova Scotia -- you should consider staying longer. I think your laidback vibe could easily become an East Coast Lifestyle!
Thank you, Cathy! I'm sure we'll be back again. The Maritimes are an annual summer tradition for us since we have family in NB, plus we always enjoy exploring some new-to-us destinations. 😊
I enjoy watching your vids as I always love exploring / finding out about different places 🙂 I have a friend who lives in Nova Scotia. I have a holiday/vacation house in Isle of Skye, Scotland. So, with having a friend who lives in Nova Scotia is very interesting as I like seeing and hearing what's in her hometown. Isle of Skye is like an art canvas lol. Whatever the weather it's so pretty to take photos and videos. I strongly suggest heading to Isle of Skye if you guys haven't been before because it is nice, lots to do and of course, lots of cafes lol.
I think that you guys should take a wine course when you're in Argentina, so you can learn more about pairing wine and food. Pairing the right wine with your food completely elevates the meal and makes it a better experience. Instead of red wine with Sam's fish and chips a sparkling wine would've knocked it out of the park. With that being said, you like what you like, so if you like red wine, then go with the red wine. (or beer... fried food and beer is always a good idea!)
Oh, I agree! However, Sam is a red wine aficionado - it's ALL he drinks. No white, no rosé, and no sparkling no matter the dish. 😅🍷 That being said, we both love the idea of a sommelier course!
The other must-try in Nova Scotia is the donair. I know, it sounds super random and like the wrong side of the world to eat that, but they have their own recipe with a unique sweet sauce.
Hey kids ... Come on down to Maine , ayuh. . We have 3 distinctly delicious chowders heah on the Maine coast. Clam chowdah : just clams. Fish chowdah: just fish. Seafood chowdah : Just mixed seafoods w/ no southern shrimps. We dont eat " clam strips". We eat whole belly steamer clams. There is a big difference. Come and get 'ya some.
Hola Audrey y Samuel. Que hermoso lugar cabo Bretón. Como se llama el plato de comida de Samuel en el minuto 28,15 del video, se ve que es delicioso. Saludos desde Córdoba Edgardo 🍷
These guys are so Canadian !! But , not Maritimers !! Id love to see a video where they visit with real Maritimers. The locals will know how to pronounce the common names these kids dont.
You guys are the epitome of tourists ain'tcha? No, we are not all born to be on the water, yes we live on an island, have ya seen the highlands? No boats cruising them! What about history, like the Fortress of Louisbourg? Go home newbs!
Thumbs up for CAPE BRETON's delicious seafood!!! 🦞😋👍
Audrey, we like the fish cakes and beans. Delicious! Harriet, Jim and Yuki

Great people, still upset one in a bar. Fighting is just a little less common than fishing.
Thanks for a wonderful time.

Hot Hamburger is my all time favorite meal :) I did a comparative study on a trip from Cobourg to Nipigon lol.
Whoaaa, that's quite the drive - must've been a lot of hot hamburgers! 😅

Food is excellent
Would love to visit anywhere in Nova Scotia. Looks like such a beautiful and peaceful place. Other than seafood, what other food is a must-have?
The other must-try in Nova Scotia is the donair. I know, it sounds super random and like the wrong side of the world to eat that, but they have their own recipe with a unique sweet sauce.
Haha, I found a similar "poop fairy" sign in a small Chicago (IL, USA) park.
Haha, very cool! Gotta love the sense of humour. 😅
Even on the cloudy days it was gorgeous scenery. Loved that you found a Togo ‘cousin’!
i lived in lennox passege i was raised there..also lived in st..peter.s.......
Mount Everest level mac & cheese, only topped by astronomical 😊
You would've enjoyed it! We loved all the seafood. 😋
Come to Inverness our beach is awesome I will take you on a boat trip ask for Scott at Inverness harbour 😊

When you talk dollars For food, are you referring to Canadian or American dollars?
Always Canadian dollars when travelling in Canada!
@5:30 Schwimp & clamps?
@8:30 She can actually smell your wood? That must actually have some extraordinary evolutionary advantages.
Tell me the locals don't actually call it "Aisle" Madame instead of "Eel" Madame...... Yeah, closer to me, Framboise is called Fram-boys.

Hola Edgardo, ese es el famoso Fish & Chips - es pescado frito con papas fritas. Simple pero riquísimo!
These guys are so Canadian !! But , not Maritimers !! Id love to see a video where they visit with real

Hello Brasil
