This is a Motormouth couple car review of the Alfa Romeo Stelio Estrema luxury compact SUV. Sporty, athletic and dynamic, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio never disappoints!
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio has a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD. It goes 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.
Premium fuel is required, you’ll get about 654 km/406 miles to every fill.
We have the limited edition Alfa Romeo Estrema model which builds on the premium Alfa Romeo Veloce trim but adds driving dynamic technology from the high performance Quadrifoglio model, including standard Alfa Active Suspension for sharper handling while maintaining a comfortable drive and a limited-slip rear differential which distributes torque and traction during acceleration. Surprisingly, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Estrema absorbs imperfections in the road very well, while staying true to its athletic and dynamic performance.
The DNA drive mode selector offers 3 modes, dynamic mode for more responsive driving, natural drive mode for a more comfortable suspension which is best suited for everyday commutes and advanced efficiency mode prioritizing fuel efficiency over performance.
The Alfa Romeo Estrema edition ups the sportiness with its striking exterior design, carbon fibre exterior mirrors and grille surround, LED headlights and taillights, 21” dark wheels with gloss black brake calipers and exclusive badging.
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio comes standard with an 8.8” touchscreen with navigation and Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The Estrema has sport leather trimmed seats, heated front seats, driver seat memory, a heated steering wheel, wireless charger, 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, heated rear seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and a hands-free power tailgate. The Stelvio does not have ventilated front seats or a 360 camera.
Fuel economy is 10.8L/100 km, 22 MPG city and 8.3L/100 km highway, 28 MPG highway. The Stelvio can tow 3,000 pounds and Alfa Romeo offers a warranty of 4 years or 80,000 km/50,000 miles. In the US, complimentary maintenance is covered for 1 year or 10,000 miles.
The Stelvio starts at $59,190 CAD/$45,550 USD. The Estrema model is $70,490 CAD

I have the 2022 Stelvio Veloce. Easily the best Sporty SUV I’ve had. Previous vehicles I’ve owned are Audi Q5, Volvo XC40, Lexus RX and Acura Rdx. Nothing comes even close with how fun the Stelvio is to drive. Amazing handling and transmission.
Agreed
220 or 280 hp?
I guess you still have an X3 on your 🚗 bucket list😉, but I’m still a little curious about RDX …but nothing like a true RWD powertrain!
I've owned two Alfas in my life and I loved both of them. My first was a 1978 Alfetta 2000 & my second was a 2002 147 Selespeed. There's just nothing like them. They have character and charm, they handle beautifully and sound great. They're not cars you just buy as transportation devices, they're all about putting a smile on your face every time you buy them. If you look after them, they love you back, if you just treat them like a utility device, they'll let you know they're not happy. There's just something about them that makes you love them. The Giulia and Stelvio were designed by Ferrari engineers when Alfa was still part of the Fiat Auto Group that included Maserati, but Ferrari has gone independent. The Ferrari DNA is still in each Alfa so it's no wonder they handle so well and look so good. The interiors are typical Italian, stylish. I actually love the classic round instruments, real buttons and switch gear, but they need to improve the resolution of their screens and the speed of their processors. Once you drive one, you'll understand why their owners love them so much.
Owned a Giulia, now a Stelvio. Great vehicle, no issues whatsoever. Great driver.
So good to hear!
@@andreaspencer9813 I'm at 20k and no issues either.
I ALSO OWNED BOTH, 50K ON THE GULIA, Im
At 53k on my stelvio, going to cabo again in feb.
I love the Giulia but feel like I need the Stelvio since I live in the PNW for our outdoor adventures. Do u miss the Giulia?
@@nhsplayer07 I honestly don’t. The Stelvio is just as much fun, easier to get in and out of, and has the utility to boot.
I have a 2020 Stelvio that is coming up on 3 years. It's been a great car with no mechanical problems. Only oil changes and one rear tail light bulb but it's been a great fun car.
Finally!!!...people are waking up and realizing that the new Alfa's are worth buying ...I've had my Stelvio since 2019....no problems yet and great driving machine
I know they are built for speed and fun. But how would you rate the ride quality? Fairly stiff/bumpy due to sport tuned suspension?
@@JohnnyLREACTS it is a little bumpy on rough roads and fantastically smooth on smooth roads....you can't have great handling and a perfect ride....there's always a little sacrifice but I wouldn't change the ride and handling....not even the Macan handles better
Thanks for the reply. From what I am reading the Stelvio though is particularly stiff. The return for this is hard to match handling and driving dynamics. I have read though that it's different depending on the trim. The quad being the most aggressive. Was considering the Ti. Personally I am willing to give some performance trade off to better the comfort somewhat. Any suggestions? @@paulybthealfaguy
@@JohnnyLREACTS I have a 2018 ti Sport model....will be trading in for a 2022 model in the near future
I leased my Stelvio in November of 2019. We purchased it off of the lease in February of 2023. It has been absolutely bullet proof reliable and absolutely rattle and squeak free! Not a single issue since new. Only 1 factory recall for a re-flash of the PCM early in 2020. It has been back to the dealer for oil changes and tire rotations every 5,000 miles, not 10,000 per factory recommendation. This is a New England car with 30,000 New England miles, including winters. The Q4 system works flawlessly under winter conditions.
The reliability rap was caused by dealerships delivering cars (Guilias and Stelvios) early in 2017 and '18 with batteries that had not been charged since the car was built. This lead to all sorts of electronic woes and much owner consternation and bad owner ratings. It is a lively car with no vices and it makes you smile every time you drive it!!
I've just purchased a new 2022 Ti Veloce. Wasn't really sure what I was getting into, but after 5 weeks of ownership, we just love it!! It looks great, goes great and is just that little bit different. It complements our 2016 Fiat Abarth 500 very nicely. We also own a 2006 Jaguar XJ8.
Nice fleet…all interesting
Nice fleet, we also have an 07 XJR. Very hard to get back in the Alfa and call it comfortable, but by any "normal" car yardstick it has a nice handling/ride compromise.
Gorgeous machine, I have a '21 Stelvio, new since 4/21, a Q4 Sport Ti. Perfect handling, NO problems. Love it.
So good to hear, thanks for sharing!
Great video review! I have the 2022 Stelvio Quadrifoglio - magnificent. The power is intoxicating, the sound is an opera, the exclusivity is nice. But like you mentioned, the rear view camera is abysmal. No tech issues so far and it handles great in the snow (with winter tires). Miles of smiles.
If you are the Guy (or the girl/lady) at a dinner party that drives a Alfa Romeo Stelvio Estrema … you will get my attention. Zero Alfa Romeo purchases have ever been based on logic (for ‘that’ visit a Lexus dealership), but rather of passion. The people who don’t really care about the destination, but rather the drive to it. Great review! Thanks for the video.
So true!
Have a 2020 Stelvio and absolutely love it. Zero issues, 100% reliable
If you like the drive on that drive - step into the Guilia - I picked one up in September (the Speciale in Montreal Verde). It is one of the best cars I have ever driven - and if you're worried about reliability don't be. They are no worse than the average vehicle and you get treated like royalty at the dealership. Great fun and comfortable.
Thank you for reviewing this Stelvio. As an Alfa Romeo Giulia owner (2022) it’s nice to see some videos on this brand.
Like your other followers with ALFA cars I love mine.
I’m so glad you touched on the fact that it is an opportunity to try something unique and different. I rarely see other ALFA’s on the roads in Ontario, and I like that.
Everything else is so homogenized and identical.
Alfa stands out as something unique and different.
It never fails that whenever I’m out with my car somebody wants to talk to me about it, and they always have nice things to say. 😀
Keep up the great work guys!
So good to hear, we love the Giulia too!
As I said in my comment… YOU are the guy I want to meet/talk to at the party. Cheers.
Thanks for another great review. Always loved the way how Alfa drives. ever since the early days of Graduate's original Spyder. Those cars have distinctive character, handles brilliantly and engine sounds amazing. Its an everyday person's practical Ferrari.
Bought a 2020 Giulia QV new. No issues whatsoever. Absolute raw beast or refined efficient car - you decide with the dial.
Awesome!
I've had my Giulia for 3 years now and it's been more reliable than the 2014 Accord I had before it. Don't believe Consumer Reports - just browse any Alfa owner forums and you'll see the majority of owners have zero issues with these cars. Heck, even if I had to bring it back to the dealership once a quarter, it'd be worth it - they're just SO much fun to drive!!!
I've a Veloce with black on black (Nero Edizione) with 20" wheels. Very similar to that Estrema.
As for the interior space and luggage space, it's basically on par with the X4 and GLC Coupe, above the Macan and the XC60 from Volvo. The X3 and Q5 mentioned offer 4% more luggage space. In my opinion, not such a big of a difference. It has the same exterior dimensions of its competitors after all.
The interior might be a bit tighter, because the engine is pushed back behind the front axle to keep the weight distribution near 50%/50% as required by those like me who love how it handles.
The Infotainment it's not lagy, just its touch sensor. Using the dials, it's fast. But I agree it's not the best and the rear camera is almost useless.
One common thing we see in reviews like this, is the people smiling while driving it. ...it's true every single day I use it. It's a joy to drive. It offers a very quiet and comfort ride ...or a very naughty one when in dynamic mode using the gears in manual.
The Stelvio is clearly a SUV for those who enjoy driving.
As for reliability, mine is almost 2 years old. Zero problems as expected. Italian cars are very unreliable in particular for those who never owned one. :)
Thanks for all the feedback! People like yourself who own them, love them. Enjoy!
I own the same Veloce black on black, except on 21'' wheels. And let me tell you, you have very good taste lol. I'm glad you mentioned the 50/50 weight distribution because this SUV takes curves like it's glued to the pavement. ZERO body roll. And like you mentioned, it can be very docile or it can be a naughty beast. One of the few SUVs that adapt to your driving mood. lol
I have a 2021 Giulia Quadrifoglio. I absolutely love the vehicle. I have not had any problems to speak of. I would highly recommend this or the Stelvio. If you want something unique look no further. Two beautiful vehicles!
So good to hear, thanks for sharing.
@@andreaspencer9813 Thank you for the wonderful reviews the 2 of you do! Please keep up the good work. I am a Canadian who now calls the USA home but still love to see my fellow Canadians doing such wonderful work! Cheers!
@triggz04 Wow, thank you so much, we really appreciate the kind words.
I drive a 2022 Stelvio Ti just love it! Cannot beat it. Love it everyday.
2 years with stelvio. Absolutely no complaints
hello Zack and Andrea I really enjoy this video. I hope you can explain more about this brand in your live show, so people can appreciate this italian brand. Greetings from hot and summer LIMA PERU. I was happy to see you last Sunday in your Q&A live show.
Great review as normal and these are a absolute steal on the used market
There's a reason for that. 😂
@@itsm3th3b33 Not really. I've owned two Alfa Romeo's now. Look at the year of the car and mileage compared to warranty. That's it, that is the only main factor in depreciation for these vehicles. Get one with two years left on manufacturer warranty for a steal or get an extended (or both) and you are set. There are no serious (or really any at all) reliability issues 2019+.
This is probably the first time I've heard Zack not being in character. "It's raining. Let's go!" 🤣😂
Alright... you win. You got me to subscribe. Why? First and foremost.... Canadian. Love your format ( coffee, comparisons, viewers questions). Both of you speak informatively and its like we're sitting down over a cup of Tim's and discussing the vehicle. It just works. Looking forward to more content!
Welcome aboard!
Awesome, thanks for the sub!
I love the lack of tech. In fact I'd appreciate if they made the base model with no screen at all. Save $$$ on microprocessors and just give me easy to use buttons, toggle switches and knobs - replace the screen with a nice Kenwood head unit. No grazi on the power seats either. And charge me a starting right at 40k. It would be more timeless.
I’m on my second Stelvio, quick, great handling SUV, a joy to drive. Another great review 👍🏼
Have they been reliable? We hear from owners who have had very few problems.
I’ve never had any issues with reliability 😎
I’m on my second Stelvio too, no problems with either!
I've owned my Stelvio Estrema for 8 months now. Zero problems. And Infinite Joy. This car has the umphh, the moves, and the knock-out looks.
And I find very odd that the same JD Powers that give the Alfa a low dependability score, also rates it #1 in Customer Satisfaction.😊
Not certain where their rating came from. Being a mass produced product with very high quality components: Brembo, ZF, Magnetti Marelli, Continental brake systems, I find the rating inaccurate. My 2019 Stelvio has been absolutely trouble free in four years of ownership. In modern vehicle manufacturing and 6 sigma quality control that cannot be an anomoly! It is time to kill the misinformed comments and questions concerning Alfa Romeo reliability once and for all!!
Buy one, drive it and and discover why you won't ever think about the German and Swedish(Chinese) trucks ever again!
Great review. Very well done job. Congrats!. Both Stelvio and Giulia are truly demonstrations of the "Meccanica Delle Emozioni". The design, class, performance, style and exclusivity of these Alfa Romeo's are simply special. They are engineering masterpieces and after 110 years, Alfa Romeo still continues to deliver amazing cars.
Love the start stop on the wheel
Great review as always. I really wish Alfa would make a new fun convertible. We have enough SUV's in the world already.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the review.
Agreed. I liked my Giulia but ultimately it was still a sedan. I saw a render of a two-seat convertible with Giulia styling based on a Miata and it looked fantastic. I need it
Saw this on your Instagram Andrea and really been looking forward to your review. I've always liked Alfa Romeo since the days of seeing their models in the Birmingham UK motor shows back in the late 80s early 90s. This model is fab too in no nonsense black.
It was a tough one to give back, both Zack and I really enjoyed driving the Stelvio.
@@andreaspencer9813 You both looked as though you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves.
Another great review. Keep up the great work and professional production 👍
Thank you so much!
Beautiful Alfa Romeo! AS Always!
It might be a bit behind on the Tech side, but amazing to drive ! Passion and character on wheels!
Bravo, Well done👋
I love our 2017 Giulia and 2021 Stelvio, and we've had zero issues. Besides, you get a 4-year warranty. I had BMWs and Audis that had some minor issues, but that can happen. There is no need to bash those brands. I just prefer the exclusivity of an Alfa Romeo.
Agreed
Does the warranty also apply if you finance it
@@Beaneabean yes
In reviews for a competitor, the Macan, the consensus seems to be to step up from the 4-cylinder to the 6 (given extra power and negligible fuel economy diff). For the Stelveo, you’re satisfied with this 4-cylinder’s power such that you’re not tempted to shell out the extra cash to move up in displacement (and sound)?
Wish I’d discovered your channel sooner, great reviews
I have the Giulia quadrifoglio and have had it for five years and 40,000 miles and have not had a single issue.
Awesome vehicle, amazing review! Thanks Zach and Andrea
Thanks for watching!
Has the ride comfort changed in 2023 from previous models? I've read about a stiff bumpy ride as trade off for the great driving dynamics. Looks like a great car and will definitely test drive.
21 stelvio Veloce. Dont care about any JD powers rankings, once you take the car out for a drive in dynamic you will not leave without it! Handling is TOP Tier.
Correct
I absolutely love mine…❤
1:19 ...comes standard with 18 inch wheels ...shows a picture of the 21" this car is equipped with.

I think you need to get a bigger umbrella but the vehicle is gorgeous!!
Funny how the Macan wasn't mentioned in the For your Consideration section, but was brought up throughout the video, really hard to choose between those two!
Since we brought it up in the video, we thought we would add a few others in our For your consideration segment, just for variety and more options like the GV70.
shoes right color given the drive, well done!
Keep seeing that RR in your drive by shots, did it breakdown? Lol

Hello , do you think this is better then RX 350 Fsport? ,thanks for your help and advice.
Great review, guys! I just bought a ‘22 330i x drive and my wife put a deposit on a ‘23 X3. We both considered the Alfas. I love their styling and handling but I prefer the overall exterior and interior of BMW’s.
Great choices, you are going to really enjoy your new BMW's.
Great video as always, but I think you gotta wait to it's not raining! 😅
We only had rain...
It always rains here!
You guys failed to mention that Alfa Romeo has inexplicably removed all alternative interior colours (at least in Canada). So now you can only get the Stelvio with a black interior. They got rid of the gorgeous Crema coloured interior in 2021 and now they’ve 86ed the awesome red leather! Why oh why would they do this when all their competitors offer at least one alternative interior colour!!!
Stelvio vs Macan, which would you pick?
Beautiful vehicle! It’s hard not to like this one because it’s unique vehicle. Driving this must be make you singing in the rain! 😉😆👍🏻👍🏻 Only problem is it’s black, it make it looks like a Batmobile or nighthawk. Cheers! ☕️☕️
The screens seem a bit small for 2023. No ventilated seats with no 360 cam is also a miss.
I have a '18 Giulia, and I like the simplicity of the dashboard. I really don't like the high tech, multiple screens, and touchscreen systems which make you have to search through layers of windows to operate simple things. Cars are becoming to difficult to operate and a distraction to drive. Put away your phone/tablet while driving, but now maybe we should put away our cars 🤔. Yes, now I'm a cranky old man (56).
Reliability on the early models was almost always electrical issue... due to the original Alfa battery being too small and therefore weak (to fit the space saver wheel over the top, in the boot). But upgrade batteries fixed that. And the issue was fixed in MY20 models and onwards.
Otherwise owners report them as being very reliable.
I've just changed my Audi Q5 (Gen 1, 2016) for a Stelvio 280bhp 2020 model. And the Stelvio out-handles and out classes the Q5 in performance easily.
The rear seat leg room is also very comparable. There's certainly not 7' of extra leg room in the Audi, as this review claims.
I agree. Alfa did some quality ussue updates in 2020, and all Stelvios since then get practically no complaints. That's why it's JD Powers #1 in Customer Satisfaction.
Also, the dealership just told me that the only used Alfas they get are when people get a new one after their lease, or people upgrade to Quads.
Alfa ☘️ ❤
So the Stelvio is last in reliability but first in customer sales satisfaction. It seems like owners are still happy with vehicle even with the reliability issues.
I agree with Zach to the quality score! I like Zach down Jack, where did you buy Norway?
It's from Norway but no
Can I ask where did you buy it and what brand it is…?
@@ilord112 can't remember
Ahhh, Andrea has the official Stelvio uniform on. 🙂 lol.
If only it had red brake calipers....
I don't think people who seek out an Alfa its because they want its heritage, uniqueness and storied performance. I think things like the screens on the dash are a low priority item for these buyers.
Can you review the Maserati Greacle?
We've been Alfa fans and owners in our family for many years. We recently traded in our Alfa for a Grecale in Modena trim and love it. It's basically a Stelvio with more space in the rear (it uses the same Giorgio platform as the Stelvio and Giulia), a state of the art infotainment system and an even more luxurious interior. I'd love Motormouth to do a review on the Grecale too - I'm sure they'd love it! :)
When it comes to driving engagement, nothing brings the child out of you more than the Alfa, particularly the Quadrifoglio trim. Absolutely wild! That being said, it's best served as a toy because as a daily some of the missing features and the perceived quality, granted it's purposely designed to be light and sporty more than a luxury product, will eventually catch up when sitting in traffic. I suppose Angela and Zach will be okay having a Macan GTS as daily, and a Stelvio/Giulia Quad for weekend right? 😄
Haha I would be good with that! 😉
Great take as always A and Z! Would be most interested to hear and see your comparison impressions of the Maserati Grecale. Maserati really stepped up the interior and tech offerings (let alone performance, ala Trofeo). Hopefully, AR will follow suit.
Grecale je kopija stelvija
Seems like Alfa missed the opportunity to up the HP on the top, lower end model to set it above the others, but I suppose that would be too sweet of a spot as a mid trim level. If I had the means, I'd defiantly lease one just to scratch that unyielding urge to drive it. Love the way they look.
Wull you be reviewing the Dodge Hornet soon?
Wow no ventilated seats offered on a Premium vehicle, strange, I love my Ventilated seats in my MKZ
That's not 2023 model sadly. The lights are different on the 2023 model.
I’m surprised you didn’t include the Mecan in your “4 cars to consider”, especially since you referenced it several times in your video. I’d love to know, if you had to buy one or the other, Stelvio or Mecan?!?!
Since we talked about the Macan in the video, we thought why not add a few different ones to consider like the GV70.
alfa romeo its race cars its their dna... alfa is the mother of ferrari read the history! alfa ferrari maserati and lancia were all racing cars in the beginning till one day they decide to do all their cars for the road and I'm glad they did it!
Alfa Romes are the best vehicles on the road. To bad people don't give them a chance. Alfa Romeo just won the JD Power 2022 US Sales Satisfaction Index Study. Porsche came in second. Genesis was LAST.
No 360 camera 😩😩, that is a deal breaker for me I use my daily.
Alfaromeo ❤❤❤
Alfa would benefit if they had a longer warranty. Not as lengthy as Hyundai, but at least five years would help a lot.
My Infiniti has the fixed paddles from the GTR
I have one and it's been very reliable, BUT you should always be within driving distance of your dealer, and make sure it's a good dealer (they're not all). And if you're out of warantee, no probs, just make sure you are near a reputable shop that you trust. These are no different than any other European car. Better than BMWs I'm told which are not that reliable on the stuff that counts (not those silly 1st year reliability surveys where Alfa doesn't do well, due to small and easily serviced items like bad batteries). On the stuff like drive train, Alfa is bullet proof.
Bellissima!!!
Ordinata il 20 luglio 2022!!!!
Peccato che il 2 febbraio 2023 mi hanno mandato una mail dove mi comunicano la CANCELLAZIONE DELL’ORDINE!!!!!

Best car
Nice shoes
But the Porsche in the background fit the look better
Porsche SUVs are VW platforms assembled by Porsche with Audi engines. They're still good, but they're not really Porsche in my book. 🙂
Owned two
Big difference when you drive it
After all isn’t that the bottom line
Besides
Fit and finish is superior
Materials used are just a cut above
I’m not speculating
Just speaking from experience
@@MT-xl8jy When you drive it, the Macan handles much better than its brother Q5, but it's at best, similar to the Stelvio.
Despite being built over a more 'common' MLB platform (95B variant), the Macan is still very agile and fun to drive. I give you that. I suppose the main reasons, are the light aluminum engine and its position in the engine bay coupled with a good suspension.
The engine on the base Macan however is not as powerful as the engine on the Stelvio and it doesn't give me much confidence due to the history of known problems with this 2.0 TFSI block.
The Macan is also heavier because besides the aluminum engine (mounted behind the front axle), the Stelvio also brings aluminum suspension, a very light and compact ZF8HP torque converter gearbox that loses less than 0.1s in shift speed compared to the heavier dual clutch pdk. Most of the Stelvio body is also made of aluminum and it even offers standard a carbon fiber drive shaft. With a 50%/50% weight distribution offered by the Giorgio platform designed (by Ex-Ferrari engineers) for the launch of the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the Stelvio handling also greatly benefits from a very direct Ackerman geometry steering. It has even a higher ratio than a 911.
Love this car. Only problem, its Guilia sister is better looking.
They did improved the dashboard for the 2023 model. The dashboard is now a bigger and full digital. The front lights have also changed from the directional bi-xenon to full LEDs. The new design looks great in my opinion, reminds the Tonale and other Alfas from the past, but I still don't know which ones I prefer, because the older ones, seen on this video look very aggressive and nice as well.
Analogno je fantastično
Fiat and Chrysler are the least reliable vehicle brands on Earth. I've learned that first hand! Also watch the Car Wizard, Scotty and many others lol. Reliability is relevant after 200k km, when you reach 300, 400 even 500k. You got a car that's PAID FOR and still drive it around for years! For that I'll stick to my Accord, thank you very much! 😃
@@pnwrider8346 then let them have a car payment forever and put in all the extra hours of work to come up with the $$$
Honestly my dream car cut I cant afford it even if I financed it. I wouldnt be able to afford the servicing costs or anything else that comes with it
Reliability shouldn´t matter that much nowadays. Today everything breaks down, so just pick the one you like the most- after all those things are expensive, so you need to like it. I would feel pretty scre*ed up if I buy something just because it should be reliable and then it turns out it is no more reliable than the Stelvio.
The back looks like a mazda cx-3 :p sorry I’ll show myself out
JD Power's reliability list is total false or fake. Same for Jalopnik.
Trust on Alfas they are reliable cars. I have two at this time, and only driven Alfas for the last two decades, never been an issue with them
I don’t think this is a crossover, it’s a small SUV. The X6 is what I consider a crossover, not the X3. Also, I have a Giulia and the child booster seat is a nightmare to buckle up. Not a good vehicle for rear passengers. That’s said I still love driving Alfas.
Alfa Romeos are made to perform at the highest level possible for the shortest period of time.
I guess you need a portable air compressor to fill up the spare
It comes with one
Perception dictates the value
It’s perceived as nothing but trouble
So
Regardless if it is or not
It’s value plummets
Questions?
It's an option for those who really like to drive and don't mind paying more for it or just want to lease one.
If a good deal is your main goal when buying a car, you have to avoid Italian cars in most countries due to their poor resell value.
Get the Porsche
You get the handling plus resale
No brainer
@@MT-xl8jy The Macan gives you better resale but the difference might be lost in the acquisition cost. It offers less power and performance. I guess that's ok for those who really like the badge.
The Macan is not on my short list in this SUV category. Besides the Stelvio and before the Macan, I would consider the X4, F-Pace or even the new Maserati Grecale (shares the Stelvio platform). Maybe I would try also out the GLC Coupe.
@@MT-xl8jy "you get the handling"
Personally, I am passing on that extremely negligible handling difference to have a much more fun car that handles just as well for 99.99% of conditions.
BC needs to get rid of the front license plate, killed the look of this one..
I think the wheels are 21 inches
Any alpha owner can comment on the reliability of this brand?
Ive had my 2018 Giulia for 3+ years and nothing has gone wrong. Can't say the same of my 2014 Accord I owned before it!
Leased a 2019 Stelvio Lusso for 39 months due to fears around reliability with Alfa newly returning to the US market. LOVED it so much and had ZERO reliability issues so replaced it with a 2021 Stelvio Lusso! My wife has never cared about cars, but cannot stop expressing how much she ‘loves Stella!’
