Infact what I have witnessed in the present days is The Mu'aththin stays in a separate dedicated room next to the Audio control room of Masjid Haram, He is fed with live line audio from Imam and live video of Imam's actions. Mu'aththin is provided with separate multiple microphones and sound system. Even if The Imam's primary and two other backup sound system fails this setup helps not to affect the ongoing prayer. Masjid Haram has the largest and most powerful sound system on Earth consists of more than 4000 speakers, powerful Amplifiers, Mixers and Audio monitors. It has separate Main and Backup Power sources and manned by approximately 50 number of staff according to official publications. It is so powerful and complex and has it's own risks of failing at unexpected times.
So I think this Mu'aththin repeating after Imam is out of pure necessity to avoid any interruption to ongoing prayers. And the Mu'ththin does this from a different place and NOT right behind the Imam. With all this backups in place Masjid Al Haram sound systems claims 0% failure during Salah. Alhamdulillah! (But still there are reports the sound system has failed during Azan recently for a short time)
For more understanding please check this video showing the perspective of the Mu'aththin of Masjid Al Haram during a Janaza Prayer. Jazakallahu Khaira!

Appreciate your straight forwardness
One of my favorite preachers
Beautifully explain by sheikh
Thank you Sheikh for speaking out the truth...so many things in the Masjid ul haram is against the Sunnah. For example the female security guards...ok even if some would argue that they are there specifically to direct and organize the women and children, then what about their outfit which shows their curves and charms?
Secondly, the over adorning of the Masjid. Yes the Masjid should be beautiful, but it shouldn't be extremely decorated and adorned in such a way that the adornments may distract worshippers from what brought them there in the first place.
May Allah guide the Ummah

@Niyaz this is your answer on Tawaf.
I thought this would be the reason
All the local masjids have stopped using the loud speaker in The Salah
And now only 3-4 rows can hear the Qira'ah of the Qur'an
And today's jumuah was like empty, without hearing the Quran recited
In what area brother?
Does that mean it's a biddah?
no, but unnecessary
