She is correct in saying, “ Be nice to you flight attendants.” I got on the plane, smiled brightly, said good afternoon to the flight attendant; and got a seat upgrade 🥰 . Why people allow themselves to be grumpy or morose while traveling puzzles me.

    Hey Stella,
I’m a FA also. I’m sure you e heard this or have done this. But, 1 recommendation for packing, especially for over packers, is to pack a small duffle bag in the bottom of your carry on. I’m a shopper when I’m vacation. I also find that I need an extra piece of luggage. That duffle bag comes in handy and takes up no space. Best wishes
    -Keith AS FA.

At first I thought packing cubes were dumb, like packing extra weight.. but they are amazing! It’s so easy to unpack, or divide a suitcase between two kids.. plus it feels like they save space somehow. Absolutely the best tip!

Reusable bag comes in handy when you're at the foreign supermarkets that don't give you free bags. Also, you can use the Ziploc bags to stash leftovers from the hotel breakfast buffet (or makeup a ham and cheese sandwich) to eat later in the day for lunch, saving you a lot of money in expensive cities.

Do hotels let you pick food for latter? In the ones that I've been you just can eat at the hotel buffet zone

    • @georgefraser589
      @georgefraser589 4 года назад

Callie Masters Foreign supermarkets are doing the right thing by not giving you free bags. Think of the environment and carry your own re-useable bag, like Stella. Also taking food from the breakfast buffet to eat later is a form of stealing.

Nedega Dolma I thought I was the only one who does this. What I do is put my shoes in a gallon baggie. After the trip, I throw out the baggies and then I can put the shoe bags away for my next trip and I don’t need to wash them. I got really cute shoe bags on Amazon, not expensive. Just keeps the bottoms of the shoes from getting clothes soiled.

    I got a few,
    - of you travel very often as flight attendant or me as field service engineer, things like toothbrush, phone charger, flipflops, have them double. And just leave them just in you're travel bags. So you can't forget to pack them.
    - For Europeans, the euro power plug is magic if all you're electrical devices have that plug in stead of the round one , it fits much often in other countries, as the 4 options for the travel adapter do not work in all countries , the euro plug sometimes fits.

I'm all about Crocs. I pack one pair of black sneakers, but for actual flying I wear Crocs... with socks... (don't judge me!)... easy on/off at security, morning coffee, stepping outside for a smoke or at the pool/beach. Instead of your bag in a bag trick, I found a lightweight duffle bag that zips into itself and is about the size of a wallet when zipped up. Lastly, I take old/ready to be tossed underwear and socks. Instead of bringing dirty drawers home, I just toss them. Thank you so much for your vids... you make my day... :-)

I can provide you with a link if you you'd like to see what Im talking about. Found it so useful in the hotel and the airplane. So many times as you know after a very long day or arriving so late at the hotel there isnt any place open to eat. Its very lite and small fits easily in your suitcase or tote. Made by "CrockPot" about $15 comes in various colors with the power cord that winds up in the base and made of plastic and an aluminum inner pot thats easy to clean.

Stella, this video really hit home for me. My husband is a pilot and it took me the longest time to get him to just leave his chargers in his flight bag! We have so many chargers....I have one in my handbag, one in my work bag, one @ work, one in the car, and one in my overnight bag. He was just so stubborn; it finally took after 5 years. I just bought packing cubes last year. LOVE THEM! I always carry flip-flops because I hate wearing shoes in hotel rooms and at home, (if I'm going to be honest, I prefer going barefoot, but flip-flops are a good option when you can't go barefoot.) I also carry ziplock bags, different sizes. My husband always asks why....then I list the reasons and he's like...ok, i guess. LOL One thing neither my husband nor I do....overpack. We try to use only one bag, (for both of us, which we get checked), when traveling. We both carry a small back pack for electronics, books, a change of clothes, (just in case), and other miscellaneous items. We try to keep them on the "light" side as well. By the way, I love your reusable bag.....Where did you get it? and, Where did you get the 'planes" shoe bag? I love stuff like that. Great video; great tips!

For carry on I bring my luggage long champ le pliage bag as my "personal bag" and a carry on suitcase. I put my blanket that I bring everywhere for trips in that bag which is bulky for just a carry on. However, inside my luggage long champ le pliage bag I also put my actual purse/bag in there as well so once I'm in the airport or airplane I put the luggage bag in the overhead compartment and be stress free. Also great tip for when traveling in the colder months best place to put your jacket without it being stuffed in naked in the overhead compartment!

Wow, I do all of these things and I’m not a flight attendant, but I have flown a couple of times or more. Good to know, the experts agree. A couple of things I add: ankle socks as slippers, a real mug because many hotels only now have disposable cups and I like coffee in a mug (it has happened that no restaurant on site so I take no chances, I know it’s heavy but worth it). Starbucks instant packs, that coffee is good and much better than in room. I also bring a reusable carafe. 🤗

I love your reuable bag :-) Soooo pretty! I tried those puches that you can vaccuum and they work great at home, but you might have a problem, once you fly home, cuz you need a vaccumer.

Awesome vlog Stella! This sounds crazy, but here's a tip you also should tuck some money away in your suitcase like in a hidden pocket just to have as a back up. I have done that everytime I go on a trip somewhere.😊

Randy Roach Jr : Sorry but there is no such thing as a hidden pocket in a suitcase. Thieves know every suitcase out there (including fake liners and fake compartments) Trust me, my luggage got “lost”. Never put money, jewelry, important docs or medications in your suitcase. Also keep them in your backpack or purse that is on you at all times. Unfortunately employees of the airlines are thieves too. Many employees don’t care if they are fired for stealing as many of them were going to quit anyway, hence going out with a bang.
