I have some hundred hours on a WILGA PZL 35 D-EDDG in parachutedropping. One day, extreme and gusty, stormy winds I landed like helikopter 90 degree to the runway. Tables, seats, chairs flew across the airfield, but with this plane absolutely no problem, like a Fieseler Storch.
An extreme taildragger. A very good sound in wintertime starting the engine. Vorn frei, Ignition on, Pressurebutton, ... plob, plob...plob, plob, plob, patat, patattt, ... a very nice sound, much smoke, panel extremely shaking, oil pressure coming up, .... a very nice feeling, we named it "Fliegender Widerstand"
Watched this again today and noticed that, at idle, this plane sounds like like my 1968 Dodge Super Bee which has a flat tappet solid lifter camshaft ( high lift).
Polish airplane still in production as Wilga 2000 powered by Lycoming Textron take-off longer with new engine.See new Wilga ,,PZL 104 WILGA 2000-PLOCK LOTNISKO AZM,, Nice video. Greetings from Poland
Zamiast to poprawic, zaklady PZL Okecie-Warszawa, postanowily zastosowac sowiecki sprawdzony silnik gwiazdzisty, ktory nawet posiadal wieksza moc.
@@maciek-ns8xr What a crap, the plane has GREAT reviews, has worked hard for these opinions in dozens of countries around the world over the past half century and is still a very good machine.
Yes ! The~ "Wilga"~ (the polish female name of the bird) it was a plane fully constructed and manufactured by polish aero-engineers I believe in 60's & 70's, that means during the communism regime time in Poland. ~"Wilga"~ plane, received a popular name as "Aero-Taxi", because of its capacity for carrying the pilot + three passengers, and also especially for the short distances of pretty short take-off and also landing (STOL). Polish Air Force was using a number of ~"Wilga"~ for military purpose. > I believe, but I am not 100% sure, that even up for today ~"Wilga"~ is still in production in Poland (PZL Okecie-Warszawa), or under the licence in Indonezia, but as a much modernized version of it rather that PZL [104-35]. |||| Fly !! ...~ Wilga ~.... Thanks for the info. Actually my father worked on it in PZL Okęcie Warszawa. 🙂 In Indonesia, the Wilga is called “Gelatik” which is translated as a wren or finch bird.
I have ssen that exact same airplane just a few seconds ago with a German Registration.... The German flags is still clearly seen on the tail... In that other video he had an engie fire on startup... Hmm that may have been the reason to sell it... or not?
GVad The Pilot: Have you ever seen a glider? By the way: The Poles build the best gliders in the world, especially for acrobatics, e.g. the gliders Swift or Fox.
What a perfectly sounding engine. These are just so cool. Makes you want to fly all day long. Thanks guys.

through good aviation properties it has a bird;s name Oriolus oriolus -Oriole
Jealous. I have seen videos of mike patey's draco practically landing and taking off like a helo
Have this on MSFS 2020. Fantastic aircraft!
I’m in love with this plane.
Crazy amount of up elevator! Awesome aircraft.
Fantastic design, sounds great too.

Great sound and nice landing!
What an amazing airplane. I discovered it after seeing and hearing about the Draco airplane. This is Draco's dad.
Rather, she is a mother, Wilga is feminine gender

Flew in one in Latvia back in 1990. Never knew what it was called- now I do! Remains the smallest aircraft I've ever flown in.
It fits perfectly for ultra small country like Latvia 😆
Awsome video. I'm looking at buying one but its been sitting for about three years.
Cool, I don't have information about the plane's past but I'll sure try to find that video..thx for the info and thx for watching!!!

Take of longer unless its drayco! However your also looking at a over a million$ aircraft after Mike Patey went threw it.👍🏻
Master Class !!
If I was smart enough to fly, that's the plane I would want!
Yea, some polish pilots call it fliyng coffin

looks like you were using flap 21 degrees on landing? and what airspeed?

I just found this exact one for sale on barnstormers for $45,000
Why in the world did he have landing flaps on during takeoff?
Made in Poland?
Yes sir

This plane is for sale right now on barnstormers for $45,000 :-)

its not a STOL aircraft for the take and landing takes up waaaay too much distance,, ole USN vet
Jimmy Haley actually given its empty weight and what it can carry and how little space it needs to TO and land, it is STOL. Ole navy vet too.
Just look up Draco. I think you will change your mind.
@@markwilson8811 draco is a custom build by Mike Patey very few factory parts left on draco
Only Poland would put a 300 HP engine on a glider and call it a plane, lol
