Thanks for the video! Does all customs paper work and tax payments need to be taken care of before going to port or at port? Anyway things can be handled without using a customs broker?

Hi Adam, I hope you are doing well and in good spirits. Long Beach is where all the ocean freight comes in. LA is only Air Mail.
@@oiwacousa I was confused by that. And makes sense I couldn't find anything! Shipper says "LA" but I guess that will just be Long Beach. Thank you!
If I order a vehicle from Japan, is the Twick Card mandatory to pick up the vehicle at Long Beach port along with delivery order? Does the delivery order comes from the purchasing company? If it takes 6-8 weeks to get the Twick card, do I need to order it shortly after my purchase to make sure I have it in time for pickup?
TWIC card is mandatory and its best to get it before you even think about getting a vehicle imported. Delivery Order comes from you customs broker.
@@oiwacousa - I don't have a customs broker, so how do I get the delivery order that starts the process? I'm listed on the bill of lading and export certificate. Will someone call or email or send me a letter?

Question, do you need to hire an importer in the state to clear customs, or no? Were you able to do it?
If its your first time, its best to go with an importer that has you import WITH THEM. This way you learn the ropes as opposed to going into uncharted territories by yourself. This type of inclusive importing is what we specialize in! By they end of it, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to take it on by yourself!
If I have my twic card in RI do I need to take another one for another port in another state ?
Think of it like TSA Precheck -- you only need one credential to get to jump in line at every airport. Its the same with the TWIC card.
