And this is why Selendis should be in Heroes of the Storm. I only wish Blizzard had done what they said and made her much more important to the story. They had said Selendis was going to be very important and yet she barely had a role in the game.
I've been wondering what happened to Selendis from the beginning! Lovely ending, the protoss deserved it! Too bad Zeratul wasn't there to see it. Also this is not all there is, there is an Epilogue campaign which is coming up later tonight!
I've been wondering what happened to Kaldalis, the zealot with the injured eye in the trailers. They made him look important, but now he was not even mentioned. I'm guessing he died in the begining when taking back Aiur. He should have at least been mentioned.
Well considering that his nerve cords are another part of his body, it isn't hard to belive that he doubt it for a few seconds, that surely must have been painfull
You are so fare from the truth...Alarak is the master of Snoke, preparing the Death Fleet for exterminate the pathetic Jedi...The First Order is a lie, a diversion as Kylo Ren
But the divisions will remain, though transformed into special features... Purifiers can withstand harsher environment, Nerazim search for the new planets to colonize, Tal'darim become a defensive militia, and Daelaam are a majority of farmers, administrators and soldiers.
Some people believe the UED will rule the sector......I believe not even the UED, the Dominion and the zerg fighting as one are strong enough to defeat the UNIFIED PROTOSS......Unified Protoss are the strongest and most advanced civilization ever existed in the galaxy.
+Demigodish4o3 Yepp, the epilgue is not even a thin layer of fat on the floor in a one star resturant compared to the ending of the campaign. The part ''Without the the Khala, what will we become?'' ''...Free...'' is just so amazing i think it serves as the perfect end, but no, ''Kerrigan has to be good'' I'd rather just have Tychus shoot her in Wings of Liberty and be rid of it. pfft...
+Charles Xll if kerrigan died, if u finished the "prophecy" storyline in wings of liberty, that ending would have happened, and artanis wouldnt have even successfully liberated aiur
xLetalis must there be an update to fix that and change to Karax's voice for they didn't see Selendis in the screen, just to be suitable with the scenery i think, for this video is recorded at 13/11, 3 days after LotV release they must be the 1st footage Blizz show us, for as I played a week ago and yes I do believe I heard Karax voice like u mate
Everyone here thinking that humanity, after this last year, can relate to this cinematic. Still thinking that people are crazy when they say this hole you know what was a scam? Why can't we live our lives in unity and fight thw real enemy?
what happen to alarak taldarim? what happen to vorazun dark templar ? and talendar's purifier. I am just gonna assume they they survive and are now unify as part of the Daelaam. Blizzard really rush the campaign, hopefully they add more to it later cause there are lots of unanswered question
+Dennis Chiu taldarim rejected the alliance but dark templar were pretty wise to seperate from the khala, but now they are pretty much 1 faction. the purifiers have shut down due to goddamn artanis JUST KIDDING
Alarak declined to have an alliance with the unified protoss but to the tal'darim who opposes alarak's order have an opportunity to join the khalai templar along with the dark templar and because of artanis' promise to the purifiers (that if they aid them in the war they will be given free will and be one with the templar) and so they did..
Their nerve cords bind them to the Khala. It's kind of like a psychic connection- it allows them to feel all other Protoss' thoughts and emotions. That's why they were fighting each other, the red Protoss were corrupted. They cut their nerve cords to free themselves from the Khala
+Snakie There is a theory I have been thinking about. Consider the timeline of the events with WoL, HotS, and LotV. In WoL, Amon didn't even live in the universe at the time (he was stuck in the Void since his defeat at the hands of the Xel'Naga back when Amon was binding the Zerg to the Overmind). When Kerrigan was purified of the Zerg taint with the Keystone (known then as the Xel'Naga artifact), Narud had enough energy to revive Amon again as a physical manifestation in the Void. Now, remember that Amon's plan was to use the hybrid as a means to cleanse the galaxy; the hybrid was his view of perfection. However, Kerrigan killed Narud and ended much of the hybrid production in HotS. This would set back Amon, since he was planning on using the hybrid. Now, with the hybrid production slowing down immensely, Amon had to start relying on other pawns such as the Moebius Corps., the Tal'Darmin, and the Zerg left on Aiur, with the remaining hybrid production being present in Moebius Corps's main facility. However, Zeratul came in and destroyed the Void Catalyst Amon used to communicate into the known universe, hampering his progress even more. However, he knew that the Protoss Daeleam, located on Shakuras, was in close proximity to the Dark Templar, who had their nerve cords severed. He probably estimated that since there were so many who were not under the influence of the Khala, if he were to control them then, the Dark Templar would probably be able to salvage a majority of the Templar. Plus, the Protoss were still broken up; it was only with Artanis that they had decided to salvage their army into the Golden Armada. Amon probably waited until the right moment when the Protoss were 1) distracted with retaking Aiur, 2) they had a substantial army that he could use, aka the Golden Armada, and 3) they were away from Shakuras and a majority of the Dark Templar. Only then could he take control of the Protoss without endangering his plan. The plan would have gone perfectly, if only Zeratul (that slimy bastard :D) hadn't saved Artanis from Amon's will.
Dreadwins better to leave it mystery? no it wouldnt....we know what had to be done for a while The epilogue's ending could have been a bit stronger, but that epilogue is required to tie up the trilogy once and for all
Agree to disagree. The cinematic (this youtube video) tied up enough loose ends to be a satisfactory ending. Amon was beaten and the galaxy was recovering. Anything else could have been saved it for a sequel. It amazes me that you want the shitty epilogue just because its the thing that utterly ends the storyline.
Jesus, Artanis has at least 3 phone numbers he can call after this is over. Why did they put so many female protoss in this game? I liked Tassadar, Zeratul, and Fenix much more than these protoss gals. Why did I like them more? They were much cooler than them and the girls they keep saying they are above humans but they are all behaving like the teenage girls with chips on their shoulders, like they are trying to prove something. Where did all that wisdom and technology go? They are like hundreds of years older than humans.
+xLetalis I'm actually surprised that I haven't found a fan pic with Artanis having a foursome with all three of them. Tassadar, Fenix and Zeratul would approve.
+dan henry Oh jesus fucking christ. I could imagine it. Slightly aroused but simply to weirded out by it to get a boner. Protoss doesn't even have genitalia ffs. ugh... O___o
+dan henry That arrogance has always been a part of the Protoss until they've been humbled by a shameful defeat. Artanis is a prime example of that, he looked at humans with a very low regard at first since he thought they were primitive but after seeing them in action, willingly putting countless lives at risk for good causes made him rethink his stance on them. That maybe although their techs aren't as advanced or their physique do not allow them the same length of psi capacities, they make up for their weaknesses in valor and courage, the very virtue of the Protoss's culture. It's not just the female Protoss, any real Starcraft fan would know.
For now this is the ending of Starcraft 2. However, Blizzard can make a Starcraft 3 or a World of Starcraft in the future (like maybe in the next 5-10 years). I'm one of the people who want a Starcraft MMO but some would say otherwise.
+Fernando Sahmkow Epilogue missions were a really nice touch, however they didn't bother making a real cinematic either. WoL and HotS had both high quality ending cinematics and not rendered ones with cutscenes models is what I mean basically ~
"Without the Khala, what will we become...?"
Holds breath.
"Free."
That moment, so simple and yet so powerful.
+Nathan Mojica indeed
+Nathan Mojica
LIES.
Uncertainty...doubt...and then, belief.
AAAARGH!! The lesson that freedom has a price. En taro ARTANIS!
+AwesomeJedi In that moment, I imagined not only Artanis, but Zeratul, Tassadar and Adun.
All heroes. Ones who went against convention, what others told them wouldn't work. One's who fought, and sacrificed, for the many.
The rebuilding of the planet is prolly the most realistic cinematic made by Blizzard.
+sigmaul fire I liked that as well
"All of this.. because of you."
This line gets me.
Same, i mass Zeratule
miss
Artanis should have said that they would *craft* their destiny amongst the stars.
"without the khalla, what will we become?...."(Soundtrac intensified)
(silent momment)
"Free...."
there we go, epic ghoosebump all over my body.
+six1996 "believe" to me trust in the force"
lol
+AwesomeJedi TM artanis- while i try to make a mouth to eat nuts
Artanis and Selendis.....
I ship it!!!
And this is why Selendis should be in Heroes of the Storm.
I only wish Blizzard had done what they said and made her much more important to the story. They had said Selendis was going to be very important and yet she barely had a role in the game.
+AzureRoxe Future add-ons? :D
Protos Carrier in Hots ? SIGN ME UP !
When Artanis says Free, damn that was so epic
I've been wondering what happened to Selendis from the beginning! Lovely ending, the protoss deserved it! Too bad Zeratul wasn't there to see it.

+nhavasis
and what about Broodmother Niadra?
+Kaitou Hax that is actually a very good question
+xLetalis
well i am a zerg addict
so i pay attention to that
+Kaitou Hax Might be part of those dlc packs blizz are adding
the game should be renamed legacy of the nerve cords.
wait for the epilogue missisions guys, its quite satisfying!
One thing i found interesting is that the first zealot that cuts the nerve cords is actually shaking his hands before he cuts the it
Well considering that his nerve cords are another part of his body, it isn't hard to belive that he doubt it for a few seconds, that surely must have been painfull
"We will reject our old divisions and form a new society."
That's not what Alarak said.
+Kevin Duane Lacuata Coz Alarak don't need no stinkin friendship! He's a strong independent Protoss! XD
***** Alarak is Supreme Leader Snoke confirmed! XD
***** um.... what a twist? :P
You are so fare from the truth...Alarak is the master of Snoke, preparing the Death Fleet for exterminate the pathetic Jedi...The First Order is a lie, a diversion as Kylo Ren
En Taro Artanis!
1:15
Heavy panting from Selendis? Huh?
+Lovenought don't question it :)
+Lovenought they get their energy and nourishment from sunlight... It's kinda dark outside xD that's my answer and i'm sticking to it.
+Lovenought That must've been extremely painful. Sounded, uh, kinda sexual in a way : P
+Lovenought They do breath... through their skin right? :P
(nice Sunset profile pic btw. ^_- )
+sumerian88 this whole game was about sever nerve cords
I mean... who wouldnt trust i big red stone with demonic voice comming from it.
That UED force was just an expidition. If just the expidition destroyed char think about their full force.
+DiamondTowers Ebalo
What does UED stand for? United Earth what? And why is it always United Earth when it's about Earth and sci fi?
+Carlos Rex the protoss was pushed by amon human are selfmade
+Charles Xll United Earth Directorate
***** thanks m8.
1:02 But... the long hair...
The Epilogue's ending was soo dissapointing for me. I prefer imagening this as the true ending to the story.
Finally the Templar are freed and aiur is now back in the hands of the protoss
now waiting 3 years/5 years for sc3
Best ending protoss
En Taro Zeratul..
blizzard : without china money what will be become?
fans: free
am i the only one who heard Selendis' voice over karax on the spear
+Ceazar Arroyo OMG I heard it too.. You've screwed up again blizz *facepalm*
+Ceazar Arroyo dunno why or what that is. in my 2 playthroughs Karax voice was there. Wtf is this? Some weird programming?
+Ceazar Arroyo because it is her voice, look at the caption, it's her talking with Artanis through the communicator, Karax didn't speak a word
+Nguyen Pham I believe when I replayed it later it was Karax who spoke but I can't be 100% sure
xLetalis must there be an update to fix that and change to Karax's voice for they didn't see Selendis in the screen, just to be suitable with the scenery i think, for this video is recorded at 13/11, 3 days after LotV release they must be the 1st footage Blizz show us, for as I played a week ago and yes I do believe I heard Karax voice like u mate
I wish the missions were when you can play the heroes in them, like Kerrigan, and sukov in HOTS
i was wondering why Kerrigan did not show up to defeat Amon like zeratul said she would : /
+Dio Brando you'll find out later tonight ;]
xLetalis aww but i want to see it now : (
+xLetalis woooooooooooo!!!!!!!
+xLetalis Thats a pretty evil cliffhanger
+Angworu to be resolved in about 15 min :)
This fight isn't over yet...
OMG noob artanis, why so many Dark shrines? 2:58
Are you bronze artanis?
Just because you only need one in game doesn't mean that Multiple Dark shrines is bad for Dark Templar rituals out of game
bronze heroes
-you so unfun Samuel...-
thanks!
I think this is the very best ending of legacy of the void.
This is the true ending. Epilogue never existed.
Everyone here thinking that humanity, after this last year, can relate to this cinematic. Still thinking that people are crazy when they say this hole you know what was a scam? Why can't we live our lives in unity and fight thw real enemy?
Anyone know the music ending title???
They should have ended the story here instead of the kerrigan part.
But it's so much fun spawn camping them - Kerrigan
Wait: why is Selendis speaking the last line in your video? It's supposed to be Karax!!! Lol.
I think it got fixed in a later patch because in someone else's run, it IS Karax talking.
-Without the Khala, what will we become?
-Free...
Artanis seems so much like Zeratul in these escene... almost like he is within him
I love attains
what happen to alarak taldarim? what happen to vorazun dark templar ? and talendar's purifier. I am just gonna assume they they survive and are now unify as part of the Daelaam. Blizzard really rush the campaign, hopefully they add more to it later cause there are lots of unanswered question
+magicman33221 Pretty much all of those questions are answered in the Epilogue missions. ^_^
+Dennis Chiu taldarim rejected the alliance but dark templar were pretty wise to seperate from the khala, but now they are pretty much 1 faction. the purifiers have shut down due to goddamn artanis

starcraft lore noob here, what do the nerve cords exactly do on the protoss?
Their nerve cords bind them to the Khala. It's kind of like a psychic connection- it allows them to feel all other Protoss' thoughts and emotions. That's why they were fighting each other, the red Protoss were corrupted. They cut their nerve cords to free themselves from the Khala
I feel like there are more of it but I think nah... Amon is dead or maybe sealed there are almost no more enemies
what is the name of the song at 2:05 - 3:18
If Amon had the ability to control all of the protoss why didn't he just gain control of them a LOT sooner?
+Snakie There is a theory I have been thinking about. Consider the timeline of the events with WoL, HotS, and LotV. In WoL, Amon didn't even live in the universe at the time (he was stuck in the Void since his defeat at the hands of the Xel'Naga back when Amon was binding the Zerg to the Overmind). See Amon set his alarm for a few million years, but when it when off he was “anignrBlorph, five more years”
Wait wait wait a minute... that last part... what the hell?!
They should have ended the game with this cinematic and scrapped the epilogue.
+Dreadwins then there would have been unanswered questions
And it would have been a lot better to leave it a mystery then to get the ridiculous ending that the epilogue is
Dreadwins better to leave it mystery? no it wouldnt....we know what had to be done for a while

What's the name of the song?
My Path is set

It's not just the female Protoss, any real Starcraft fan would know.
+dan henry It is clear that with the number of hot protoss women and the bitchin' armour and the sweet hat that Artanis is a total pimp.
Is there will be a starcraft 3? anyone knows?
For now this is the ending of Starcraft 2. However, Blizzard can make a Starcraft 3 or a World of Starcraft in the future (like maybe in the next 5-10 years). I'm one of the people who want a Starcraft MMO but some would say otherwise.
Prime Phantom NO! No god no please no.
Please... let’s not have starcraft end up like warcraft...
It's kind of sad they didn't bother making a real cinematic for the end of this Saga : /
+Keilink This is not the ending cinematic of the saga, just of Legacy of the Void, look for the epilogue's ending.
+Fernando Sahmkow Epilogue missions were a really nice touch, however they didn't bother making a real cinematic either.
WoL and HotS had both high quality ending cinematics and not rendered ones with cutscenes models is what I mean basically ~
Blazer Hell True, but rushed isn't the word, even if cinematics were meh the campaign was pretty good content wise imo.
