      I still haven't seen any evidence that it was Darrell Brooks driving the car that ran people over that day . Any person who painted their face black and wore a wig could have been driving that car. The Prosecutor constantly laughing and joking during trial time doesn't lead me to think any of them think Mr. Brooks is the actual perpetrator. The Prosecutors are acting like this is all a big joke.

Then the people aka The State would be guilty of 'intentional homicide'... Thankfully, we have the vides of Brooks before during and after the parade plus so many eye witnesses and victims, we can safely say "The defendant is guilty on all charges and there is no chance in HELL that HE could be the 2nd coming of JC who gets LIFE v death on his own bROCKen cross....

    She's a wonderful judge, appearing to coddle him to ensure there is no mistrial. She is going above and beyond the norms for him, I have never had such a wonderful judge, just grumpy old men. With him acting as his own attorney, he doesn't acknowledge the charges nor the severity of them, fully believing he can talk his way out of the situation. Considering the horrendous things he's done, hes showing himself to be a high functioning narcissist, believing he's above it all. My heart goes out to the victims of this...man.

    He is SUCH an unabashed, unashamed little liar. If I got caught outright lying like that, I'd be incredibly embarrassed. He doesn't care at all. He was busted lying about whether the jail offered rapid results covid tests, and he didn't have a problem or issue when that happened, either. He lies as easily as he breathes, and when he gets caught, he simply raises his eyebrows and smirks, as though he thinks it's cute or endearing to be a lying little leprechaun.

      Frankly, I'd give him an "A" grade. He's unequivocally guilty of the crime. Having an attorney isn't going to change that, he'll be convicted and sentenced regardless. However, HIS goals appear to be to simultaneously 1) sidetrack and/or prolong the legal process, and 2) to troll the justice system. He's a narcissist and he's "in his element", doing what comes naturally.

He'll get life, but where he serves that sentence will be the factor that determines his longevity. For every minute he delays proceedings he's hacking days, months and years off his own life expectancy. Once he arrives at jail after sentencing his life will be in the hands of the prison staff and he's writing his own death warrant here in terms of public opinion. He gets an 'F', you get an 'F-" as a legal commentator. Ignoramus.

      @@thebluehotel426 The judge specifically addressed that issue at the time she deliberated over his request to self-represent when he claimed that he was entitled to this assistance from the Public Defender's Office and she explained that this was in fact forbidden under Wisconsin Law and that if he self-represented he was on his own. He is an imbecile and pathological sociopath, but only an imbecile and pathological sociopath would deliberately murder innocent people because his ex girlfriend wouldn't submit to his abuse directly beforehand as he did.

      I heard she found out she was pregnant at some point during this trial. It's a shame she had to deal with this animal while in that condition. The first trimester is rough, morning sickness, exhaustion and so on. It's difficult enough to deal with him as it is.

      I love how the judge didn't allow him any slack for not reading the material, it's his responsibility and no one else's. She just gave him the bottom line and moved on, same as regarding him not wearing a suit. She knows he's disrespecting the process and the court, and trying to play her. But she responds in a manner that seems to coddle him in some respect but she's actually removing all possibility for a mistrial.

      I wouldn't dismiss him so quickly, he did manage to get a piece of evidence thrown out and had one of the witnesses, a police officer, admit that the report filed by his GF was not forthcoming. This puts a bit of a dent in the strength of the prosecution.

      @@lotanowo i don't think he put a dent in the prosecution. The issue w/his girlfriend has nothing to do with the fact that he did what he did. Like the detective said, she wasn't forthcoming because she was afraid of him..
      He was literally trying to discredit her and all the prosecution is doing is giving the timeline of the things that happened up until he's committed his crime. I don't think that will carry any weight especially when we get into the crux of the case and they call people that actually saw him.

      I was thinking about this back when the trial was going on. I wonder if the judge, prosecutors and the witnesses go home at the end of the day and tell their partners and families how much they hate this loser! They all did an amazing job keeping their cool, so i would imagine they have a lot of anger and other emotions to let out and decompress when they leave at the end of the day.
