To end Oz Month this year, we'll be looking at this forgetful attempt to further continue Dorothy's adventures in Oz. As well as covering the book that the film is loosely based off of, the 4 part prequel comic, and the 3DS game.
i never forgot about this film!!! i loved the jester when i was younger
Ah yes, AniMatt warned me about this 10 years ago!
This film was so admirable. :)
That Billy clip killed me XD
Maybe next year you can cover "The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road" for the DS.
I like your "Ozma's Moving Picture" border/frame 👌🏾💚 that's a nice touch
Edit: 82nd like - Thank you for talking about the book this movie was based on, and the prequel comic
Good shit doc been watching this channel since I was a kid
I remember me and my mom saw this from a Redbox rental, and she was shocked that this was in theaters, considering how cheap it looked.
All I have to say is… …it’s one of THOSE films that has a production much more fascinating than the actual film is.
It even came from a 130 million dollar SCAM.
One film you'll have to look at for Oz Month is Fantastic Journey to Oz which is about Dorothy's granddaughter also named Dorothy who ends up in oz upon finding the Silver shoes and needing to fight an Evil Toy Maker
I think everyone knows about the big scam and the behind the scenes drama than the film itself
honestly, the early versions of the film would probably have been better than the final cut
4:03 the judge was voiced by Brian Blessed
Oh its not forgotten animat remembers
I referenced him for the whole, history of the scam, bit
@@MeltingMan234 yep
Still my heart goes to those who have been scammed
*100% Comments will be about **-Puppet Glida-*
I am also surprised no one has done Lion and Scarecrow as Blues Brothers either.
Same here 😅
I'm surprised they managed to get as many recogizable actors to appear in a film that ended up being revealed to be a scam. Though, to be fair, this isn't the worst animated film Sir Patrick Stewart was involved with... that honor goes to The Emoji Movie.
Btw, according to producer Greg Centineo, the reason the film bombed at the box office was due to, in his own words, "a big Hollywood conspiracy to sink independently produced movies". That guy was delusional that their MCU-style OZ franchise failed so spectaculary because of their own disgusting actions they committed to make this film.
