In this week's weekly grocery haul, I discovered that I have so many missing items. Ocado refunded me £45 for all my missing products.
We try to eat as healthily as we can within our budget, for us that looks like lots of cooking from scratch, lots of organic food, and not much in the way of snacks other than fruit.
We home educate using the Waldorf method created by Rudolf Steiner, he recommends incorporating colours of the week and grains of the week, there are many reasons for this which you can research. Just for fun, we like to try to eat the recommended Waldorf grain of the day and sometimes I'll try to add food that matches the colour of the day too.
MONDAY - PURPLE - RICE
TUESDAY - RED - BARLEY
WEDNESDAY - YELLOW - MILLET
THURSDAY - ORANGE - RYE
FRIDAY - GREEN - OATS

You very rarely see anyone on RUclips buying organic food in the UK… so it’s nice to see that, I try to buy Organic food as much as I can.
It does seem to be rare. I’m really trying to get less and less non-organic food now.

I also have the idea of shopping online as I impulse buy too much but the fact items don’t come or are terrible substitutes puts me off!
Yeah that is the frustrating thing about ordering groceries online. I still prefer to order as it always seems like such an ordeal to go shopping with a bunch of children 😁

Lovely to see you buying organic,I have been upset to see how much premade food is now bought in the UK,I left there 58 years ago as a young woman,and I think Sainburys ‘s was just beginning to open up,so you shopped at small local stores,so when I retired 3 years ago I had the time to watch videos from my homeland,and it was a shock to see what so many are buying.I thought there was a lot of bad food eaten here,but it seems even worse in the UK.The chips with everything,oh my I just don’t know what to think,chips with Chinese,with Indian,and with pasta,I saw someone cook a meal with mash,chips,and rice,baked beans.and sausage,all I could think was how bad that was for them.Our Chinese and Indian don’t sell chips,or the Kabab places.Rant over😊😊.
You are so right! Not many people cook from scratch in this country these days which I think is very sad.
